    I've had a lot of comments from people who are pointing out the wheel problem on the Minibot at 3:02
    The video isn't saying you can drop your Minibot from the back of a moving truck.
    But that Inspectorbots tests the limit of their systems by pushing the platforms to their breaking point.
    Only then can you really know their true limitations and discover the weak points to further enhance and improve their capabilities.

    Although most of these systems ship out as RC Control, They can be made autonomous by the user with the addition of a micro-controller like an Arduino or a computer running a program.

  • @KyranFindlater

    These are simply rugged and high torque remote control vehicles.. They seem well built, but they are just glorified RC cars. It's quite challenging to make onboard sensor packages and the required computing strength and still keep the vehicle small and rugged enough as these ones are. Still, good work guys on these RC platforms, I hope you can automate and improve these with robotic behaviours eventually.

      Robot pulling the car is the purest bullshit ive ever seen, even if the robot capable of creating torque to crash diamonds, it still wont pull the car because robot weight is what matters. if this robot weights 10kg there is not possible way that it can pull a car even if its power is comparable to the power of a whole city, period.

    • @KirtikSoni
      @KirtikSoni 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      30svich you are an idiot. There is no way this robot is 10 kg. My first try at a battlebot came in at around 25kgs with beginner electronics. That robot easily weight 55+ kgs

  • @loonywillem

    only thing badass about this is that it has huge muscle in a tiny package. but i wonder if these bots that can pull heavy loads also work with a gearbox or something so they can get some speed when needzed aswel. otherwise its easy to get great torque if you work with a few planetary gear assemblys in line :p

  • @CarlAllenPL
    @CarlAllenPL 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is not possible to exceed the angle of inclination of 45°, because the coefficient of friction µ would have to be greater than 1. However, this condition only occurs when the wheel engages the surface (eg. cog railway).

    Is that really possible to pull car by small robot?

    • @mikekoz68
      @mikekoz68 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Small RCs with brushless motors most definitely have the torque and hp to tow a car but the problem is weight...I don't know if a small RC is capable of putting all that power to the ground without wheel spin......maybe if it was geared extremely low

    • @ChaudhariKarashan
      @ChaudhariKarashan 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robot having less weight comparatively and hence wheels may be spin wherever it stand.. for the frictional grip, weight must required.

    • @ironsmith9769
      @ironsmith9769 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a zero-incline, the bot only needs to overcome static friction. It is possible but it depends on the condition of the car.

    • @blackdragonwiccan
      @blackdragonwiccan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      many people have pushed their cars after they have run out of gas. they definitely don't weigh more than the car and they still put enough traction to the ground to move the car. the car is on wheels all the RC has to overcome is the resistance caused by friction in the axial.

  • @andregrande4642
    @andregrande4642 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    what;s the difference between robots and RC cars.

    • @ronettreker
      @ronettreker 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +NX Machines RC(Radio Controlled) cars are ground vehicles directly controlled using wireless transmission. With an RC car each movement is directly controlled in real time from a distance. Robotic cars, sometimes called rovers, are autonomous ground vehicles controlled by an on-board computer. With a robotic car, instructions are given at the start and then the computer controls the car without any human intervention. Although instructions are given periodically, they are not necessary.

    • @andregrande4642
      @andregrande4642 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ronettreker so what we are seeing in the video they seem to be RC cars, they don't seem be autonomous.

    • @ronettreker
      @ronettreker 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +NX Machines They are most likely autonomous. But autonomous vehicles can be used as RC cars if you want. At 1:05 you can see one moving through a pipe, thus implying that these robots can be used for pipe inspection. Using simple RC cars for pipe inspection is a very bad idea as pipes are underground thus having a barrier of soil, rocks and concrete which can block radio waves. In order to do pipe inspection you need an autonomous robot which can guide itself if he loses radio contact with the surface.
