Thank you for the questions and explanations. I failed the test the first time and i am finding your test very helpful. However, I wish your answers were in a darker color as I find them hard to read.
I will keep the color in mind when I roll out the next few videos breaking down the information even further. Of course any video that looks like this one on my page pretty much has the same colors but the most recent one where I broke down descriptive statistics for the exam was in Black on a white background so any videos coming out after that one will have black and white
Hi Deborah, I would recommend Behavioral Health Study Prep Test and I believe my practicum students recommended this book from Amazon..... www.amazon.com/National-Counselor-Examination-Practice-Exam/dp/B08M28VDG9/ref=sr_1_32?crid=1D64VZ4NMXZOZ&keywords=nce&qid=1683832840&sprefix=nce%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-32 I also recommend taking time to study the developmental cycles Freud Psychosexual, Erickson's psychosocial stages, Piaget's cognitive development and understanding the different conditional types... Knowing those will help understand the age of the patient in the questions, which model would apply and how... I would then follow up with understanding research and data types. Everything else should be basic knowledge based on your practicum/internship interactions.
Hi, thank you so much for that feedback. I will be sure to keep that in mind for our next few roll outs. I will start releasing videos soon on research, theories etc for the NCE....
Good question! I would always consult with your supervisor first for sure. There are some laws/rules that are state specific that state that a clinician can engage in psychotherapy services with a client in crisis or who is unable to provide consent. In this case you would first want to see if they are capable of providing consent, secondly you would want to make sure you are operating within your scope of practice to prevent harming this person... For the sake of the exam and it asks next steps, I would probably refer them to a higher level of care such as a psychiatrist, in patient or elsewhere for further evaluation.... So again in real world scenarios know your state laws regarding individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and of course always talk with your supervisor. Now if you are in an in patient setting already and this client has gone through intake, they probably already signed consent before they made it to your office or they have a medical hold due to their inability to consent and you have the ability to treat them anyway.... I know this was a long answer to saying yes and no lol... The again other most important thing is going to always be to operate within your scope and practice....
Hi thanks for the feedback, math rules state the following: For an even number of observations, take the two middle numbers, add them together and divide by 2 . So the list of numbers placed in order from least to greatest is: 1 3 3 6 8 9…. leaving the two middle numbers as 3 & 6. Add them together and you get 9. 9 divided by 2 is 4.5

The median is incorrect. The median is the middle numbers when places in chronological order
