hello. i am about to buy my first airbrush kit. i want to get it today or next couple of days. what would you recommend that wont blow my budget. i am going to spray a Revell Landrover model with Revell enamel paint. I have a hobby lobby next to me with two kits. 65 or 100 bucks. i was gonna get the 100 one less you just straight tell me what to buy. I'm in california. thank you sir. also what ratio do i thin Revell enamel with enamel thinner for the gun?
When I had my pilots license, I loved flying above the clouds, watch them develop and dissipate as well as viewing the ground through the holes. There were what we called “kamikaze klouds”, yeah, they’d fly right into us 😂. One afternoon I was returning to my strip about 5 miles out, just about to pass the edge of the mountains when I noticed my altimeter start to rise and my vertical speed indicator went to +800ft/min. I was below the cloud layer at this point in the journey, and this caught me by surprise. Quick check of instruments showed all good, I wasn’t at the point to expect an up draught, so I looked up and holy crap, what a mess! The clouds were glowing gold from the sun and they were boiling like those videos you see of the sun surface. My vsi now showed me climbing at 1500ft/min with possible updraft not far ahead. I pushed the stick to the left and down and used the rudder to sideslip away from the mess above, descending at least. I tracked back to the strip via a couple of valleys, parked up and secured the plane just before the mother of all storms broke. Clouds can hurt you 🤣🤣🤣.
I love your cloud videos. Question tho...How do you always hit the right spot when you're doing the lightening? When you finish one leg of the bolt, how do you always start in the right spot to join the second leg together? I'm still working on the aim? Any advice?
Thanks for your comment and kind words, honestly it’s just practice , it’s not easy to know exactly where the paint will hit with every stroke I recommend practicing basic techniques to master this over time 👍🏻 best of luck .
