I do not wear colognes for the purpose of getting compliments. But I do not feel bad or mind when I get one. I actually do love the way joop smells haha. Being the best version of yourself is what "pulls the most compliments".

I bought a bottle of Creed Tabarome about a year and a half ago and wow....Its strong smelling and just fabulous!...Dan get a bottle of Tabarome and wait for the dry down and you will be in love....Super Duper good Creed Fragrance...Long lasting and projects like a beast for me at least!
I think a lot of it must just be the demographic - most TH-cam viewers are young men, so will naturally gravitate towards younger women's opinions on what to wear for "success". Mr Smelly is the Connoisseur's choice. Quality over quantity.

I had a couple of Gucci Guilty Absolute samples for well over a year, but you reminded me to pull the trigger, then last night, I bought the “Gallivant Discovery Set” last night and tonight reminded me to get the Icon Absolute (tried it at the airport a while back)……..never mind, a good investment!
I just got a decant of Creed Royal Water last week and gave it a test wear. I really liked it. Now, I did think it bore an uncanny similarity to the earlier release of L'eau D'issey by Issey Miyake. That tart/sour citrus in both. I had already fallen in love with L'eau D'issey so the more natural and just a bit higher quality Royal Water was an easy one to like.
@MrSmelly could you recommend a barbershop cologne based on lemon and lavender in the top and vanilla in the base? It should not be sweet but more fresh.

Wore Azzaro L'eau a couple days ago and hadn't in a long time. It's better than I remember it actually(tastes have changed maybe) it's kind of rive gauchey for sure, if you took out the rosemary and anise out of it.
If you go by what cells then Sauvage It's probably the biggest compliment getter, but to a lot of women it will smell like a chemical mess and be a huge turnoff. So I agree go with what you think smells great. Let it be an extension of you
