11:05 I've not tried Specialized shoes. Do their Men's and Women's sizing differer?
I have 11cm wide feet and have to upsize to get room, I would likely fit 42 or 43 if it was not for the width.
So with Adidas/FiveTen and Ride Concepts I use 44. I use RideConcepts TNT for cold but dry rides, Tallac for summer, great toe protection, great for walking. FiveTen TrailCross GTX for winter and wet riding. but the toe protection is horrible, super soft. All mentioned fit me with Space Brace 2 Ankle braces.
Possibly future shoes:
I have size 9 Anamoly shoes on the way, they are wider, I will see if they fit. So far they don't have women's sizing, and only have one model. I was recommended size 9 so that's what I went for.
Horrible winter shoes:
Northwave Multicross GTX:
Super stiff sole, ball of foot area does not bed enough, not enough to be meaningful, so horrible for walking.
They don't grip unless I stand or pedal. Wider ankle, heel area than other shoes I mentioned, so much so heel lifts up. But as they are insulated they are warm. Toe protection is good, gaiter fits over ankle braces.
