Super interesting and nice video. Have you heard about Daniel Kish teaching blind humans to see via echolocation? I'm extremely curious how that transfers to under water where sound travels so much further and faster.
Thanks so much for sharing this video! Out of curiosity, when you're diving how difficult is it to know where you're going? Specifically diving down without hitting anything or swimming back up without getting turned around? Do you use any techniques or special equipment to assist you?
Hi! Thanks for your question! Well, visibility in the Red Sea is very good most of the time, but, yes sometimes it is challenging to maintain orientation awareness in the water. Part of what I do is that I just familiarize myself with the maps of the reef I'm diving before I go in. I generally have pretty good sense of direction (where's north where's south, etc), and the reef maps tell you how deep the water is in various parts of the reef, so even if I'm night diving and can't see anything outside my flashlight glow, I have a sense of what to expect. And of course, dive slow :-)
Hi Moha! Just found you an hour ago while I was searching how to use computer with low vision.I am sajna from Nepal, born with nystagmus.I'm currently doing masters in sociology so that I can advocate for the accessibilities of people like us.I'm really motivated by your will power.Could you please make a video how you edit your videos as a visually challanged person? Keep going♥️
Thank you, Sajju! As for dive computers, unfortunately the only thing you can do is make sure you get one that has a display with largest possible numbers. I have tried using handheld magnifiers underwater before, and it’s just a hassle and they don’t work very well because of the properties of water etc. I will definitely make a video about editing videos at some point in the future :-) definitely on my list!

I need to snorkel someday for sure! Looks like such a beautiful reef- thanks so much for sharing ♥️
Nice video, Maha! Great to see you and the beautiful reefs in Marsa Shagra.
Thanks a lot, Georg! :-)
