Rusty, great carbine! Those sure are a lot of fun to shoot. You have a really nice one there. Thanks for showing us the one on loan with the thompson grip. Looking forward to that update. Another great video so keep up the good work. All the best from the midwest!
I got one that I rebarreled with a NOS 1951 barrel. With US made factory ball it will shoot small groups at 100 yards. Well within the width of the front sight as it appears on the target. I see alot of vids where they are shooting hand sized groups at 50 yards and those are either the shooter or the gun has a problem. Like a reimport barrel that is scrubbed smooth at the muzzle or something.
Tom howdy.. One of these days i am going to take it out an put some rounds on paper. The barrel on that one is like new and i bet it will shoot great. THANKS for watching.
@@RUSTYSURPLUS Mine is a "custom build" sort of. Years ago I took an import IBM and installed all good late parts and had the guy install the 51 SA barrel on it and refinish the metal. Wanted the ideal shooter. I look at prices now and cringe at all the carbines that passed through my hands, if I only had sat on them. Last one I ever sold went for under 250.
@@TomSherwood-z5l 2007 you could of bought M1 carbine limit 10 for $500/800 i only bought one. before that like 10 years before they were $400 before that $200.
