If you had removed the water pump, you would have been able to use a 2 or 3" cut off wheel in a die grinder along with a double cut burr to cut a slot/V in the top of the pulley almost to the crank nose and another on opposite side to allow pulley to spread, then use your chisel on top to crack it open. I did mine without nicking the oil pump or crank nose. I realize you are in a shop and may not have as much time to do things, this is more for people who watch and are doing their own work. I really do appreciate you taking the time to make your videos. Wish I had seen them before tearing down my engine.
Think sum lurative spray of somthing might would have help some but damn I hope I don't run into this issue but one thing I can say its defintely teaching me about PATIENCE some we all need am sure.Good footage thanks YOU> Damn what a pain with this gear wow am going to soak minds down today before I get this area wow.

+Abdullah Hatem Thanks, and yes although this engine has no home yet, I will video the assembly and some of the machine work.
Really enjoy the long step by step videos man. Very informative. How long until you get it back from the machine shop?
I still don't have a home for the engine yet, but I think I will go ahead and do the build video shortly.
Hot Shoe 7 months later and we are still waiting on the rebuild
next time dude just cut it off. Much faster trust me. I do 5 vg motors a week sometimes. that timing gear is rusted on there alot of times.
Do you guys have a video of you doing this? I subscribe to your channel but can't find it.
