Bike rebuilds and service videos will now be my binge for the fall/winter season. Great video hopefully I can find somewhere to get my bike serviced with this much quality. Much love from canada!
That’s a compliment we do appreciate, when we started we weren’t sure if people would end up bored with the videos so it’s always good to know that people are still enjoying them🧡
Like almost every Wednesday: greetings from my couch in Germany! Lovely cleaning/ servicing job on this bike, looks amazing!! Keep going with the good work here on TH-cam. Cheers!
smashing little bike; love that the owner's got 650b wheels on; just looks the business. 7000 series 105 is an amazing groupset too. Great job, as ever.
I love your videos ! Huge fan since day 1... personally I would love to see you doing some bike related tutorials as kind of an alternative to your servicing videos. Greetings from Germany :)
This is the best bike maintenance video I've seen . A thorough service and clean, attention to detail is amazing. Where are you based? On a personal note, I'd be too ashamed to 1. Let my bike get in that state and 2. take it to a bike shop in that filthy state.
Beautiful bike. The owner seems to use the large chainring almost exclusively 💪. These videos have inspired me to buy/use an ultrasonic cleaner to feel more motivated to clean my friends' bikes and, thus, have regular riding buddies on the colder months. Thanks for the great videos!
Great service as usual. When it comes to tires that are hard to mount I recommend VAR tire lever set RP-42500. This lever set hooks the rim wall and the tire bead so you can mount any tire without a lot of struggle. I run Continental Gatorskins on most of my bikes and the VAR levers take the pain out of getting them off and on. I never ride anywhere without out them.
Absolute superb job on this Canyon. Yeah Schwarble tyres can be tight, very tight. Also you left the little orange sticker on the disc brakes, always get them off 😉 That’s a good point about the disc pad screws, I will check and grease mine this weekend before winter sets in 😎🇫🇮
We leave them on as they are a safety warning, so it’s not something that’s really our place to remove from a customer bike but definitely they come off of our personal bikes lol🧡⚙️
Winter is coming in the UK dont think chain waxing will be done until next year maybe ;) knowing our climate anyway, awesome video as always been here since 300 subs :)
Havent you thought about doing some tutorial videos? Just as bar taping or setting the gears. I would be more than happy to see that, since i like to learn from a more experienced mechanic. Cheers
Very good workmanship I have a fairly new MTB and the chain just keeps coming off and the gears keep skipping plus the brakes always squeaking! I wish you could service it for me
When you are changing shift cable looks like you are removing a screw at the top of the shifter. I've not seen that required before for 105 Shimano shifter? What screw is that? Also, how long did it take to perform the service in real time? Great video!
Great work, I am absolutely thrilled. I love it when people ride and use there bike for a long time and when the bike then also gets a proper service. I have sold my entire bike collection (except for one bad weather bike) in order to build my dream bike. This won't be a high-end €12,000 build how my colleagues do it, but simply an 2022 Allez Sprint frame combined with the "old" 105 R7000 and a set of Zipp 303 S. A simple aluminum race bike that you can ride for a very long time.
Always look forward to your Wed video, relaxing and informative. Would you consider doing a 'normal time' how-to series on small jobs, ie adjusting v brakes after a wheel removal or how to change a chain? Cheers
So refreshing to see a bike video without any Muc-Off products! Myself would not but any grease near the disc brakes. My opinion is also that copper paste would be banned from the cycle industry. Nice videos from you. PS. That is not a carbon fibre bike.
putting a 25 tire on a 26mm external width rim is easy, a lot of rims now are 28-29 mm wide, my tires have deformed from taking them off and on because it takes so much force
We cut these out ourselves. We will soon be making a website to sell some of the things you see in the videos and our vinyl sticker sheets are definitely going to be listed in many many various colours. So stay tuned for that and thanks for watching Kevin!🧡⚙️
I have noticed something that you didn't do which surprised me, you didn't remove the sticker from the rear brake rotor. Is there a reason? Also you have to know I have watched A LOT of your videos and this is the first time I've seen anything remotely suspect 🤣 I think it's important that people who aren't mechanically adept have a bike shop go over a direct to consumer bike like this Canyon. As always a relaxing and enjoyable video!
This is a safety warning which we can’t really just take off of customer bikes, whilst there’s no harm in doing so we always figure there’s no harm in also not doing so, that’s all the long way of saying we just leave them on lol, thanks for watching!🧡⚙️
@Bikespeeds Question on the Ceramic Spray - can this be used on clearcoat bike frames? I know you use the Autoglym resin polish on those but I own both matte and clear finish bikes and would like to avoid buying two if possible. Thanks.
I've now purchased a Ribble but with though axles rather than quick release. Never had them before. Might be a pain on the side of the road than the QR system. Any advantage? Quality stuff as always guys.👍
at the bikeshop I used to work at, we'd use a blowtorch on disc brakes to burn off the dirt - thoughts on this? we didn't apply the heat too long so the disc wouldn't warp
As I often say there’s always more than one way to do most jobs and no one way is better than another. I’ve never done that and realistically probably wouldn’t because I know what I do works for me.
If you’re having problems with their actuation there’s probably something more at fault than lubricants, a once in a blue moon spray is usually enough🧡
Helloooo! Can i ask you a question regarding the torque value at 4:22 ? Whats the recomended torque for shimano Ultegra/DA chainring bolts & crankarm bolts ? According to shimano , its 8-12 nm...however i would like to know your preferred torque value for these bolts . Thank you in advance!
This bike was really easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
We try to film our biggest jobs for TH-cam, and often the bikes that end up greasy aren’t chain waxed lol, but there will definitely be more chain wax content on the way when the right bike comes in🧡
I love these vids. I watch them before bed as they send me to sleep. Your voice and the looped music are hypnotic, better than Tamazepam, thank you.
Bike rebuilds and service videos will now be my binge for the fall/winter season. Great video hopefully I can find somewhere to get my bike serviced with this much quality. Much love from canada!

A simple service can go a very long way!🧡⚙️

Amazing Job!!
Awesome Video!
smashing little bike; love that the owner's got 650b wheels on; just looks the business. 7000 series 105 is an amazing groupset too. Great job, as ever.
105 is definitely the way to go for daily drivers⚙️
These bikes with the smallest frame sizes come with 650b wheels from the factory.
looks like new, great looking bike.
Great work, wish your shop was closer to me.👍
Thanks for watching Kevin🧡⚙️
Nice work 😊👍🏻👍🏻
I love your videos ! Huge fan since day 1... personally I would love to see you doing some bike related tutorials as kind of an alternative to your servicing videos. Greetings from Germany :)
Especially internal cabling 😊
I’ve only been here since Day 2, but I also really enjoy these videos.
Thanks
Great service as always 👍

We never mind a mucky bike, they make for a great video lol, we’re based in Suffolk in England🧡⚙️
Awesome, love the finished transformation.
Marvel work!
Thanks!

nice video i learned something new thanks for that 👍😀

Your work and videos are terrific! Thanks
Great video as always. Cool to see a bike that's very similar to mine in terms of parts. See you next week!
Haha we figure with enough videos we’ll eventually get round to everyone’s bike😂🧡
Lovely job. Been putting off cleaning my commuter for a couple of weeks. Saturday its getting done.
Enjoy your tinker time!🧡⚙️
Love this vid y'all.
Thanks John!🧡⚙️
Beautiful bike!! Nice work!!
Once again ,amazing job .thank you for putting out the best content !
Thanks you!🧡⚙️👍🏼
You know the sh*t is serious when copper grease is applied! Excellent!!
Haha thanks Gabriel!🧡⚙️

Great videos guys, keep up the good work✨✨
Thanks again for all the support🧡⚙️
I hope I can find this quality kind of bike service in my local bike shops.
Thanks very much!🧡

I want this service but I live in Austria :( Awesome job!
Thanks d0neall!🧡🇦🇹
Outstanding service & nice video as always. I have purchased the chain checker and emery paper for the disc rotors :)
Nice one Naga. Thanks for watching 🧡⚙️👍🏻

Excellent as ever! Could you specify the torque settings sometime when you go through? If they are common for example- thanks

Fantastic job!! You should be a watchmaker too... mm, are you? 😀
Lovely stuff - any recommendations for when the disc brake rotor bolt seizes? would like to avoid buying a new set of callipers...
Look at type of steel used in here no rust at all crazy
surprised you didn't take the pedals off the crank

The cable guide for the derailleur looked pretty funny in some positions. What's happening there?
great video! what lubricants are you using?
We have our own range of lubricants that we’re soon to put on coming website so stay tuned!🧡⚙️
Love your videos. In some of your videos you have used vinyl stickers for frame protection. What brand are they, such a good idea.
We cut these out ourselves. We will soon be making a website to sell some of the things you see in the videos and our vinyl sticker sheets are definitely going to be listed in many many various colours. So stay tuned for that and thanks for watching Kevin!🧡⚙️

Lovely job as always, but why leave those awful looking stickers on the brake rotors? Cheers 👍🏻
These are a safety warning so with customer bikes we leave them on🧡⚙️
@@Bikespeeds Don't stick your finger here, ouch! I find those stickers almost as painful 🙃 Thanks for the response 👍🏻
always nice to see the before and after. One question: how long does this take for this rebuilds and service?
@Bikespeeds Question on the Ceramic Spray - can this be used on clearcoat bike frames? I know you use the Autoglym resin polish on those but I own both matte and clear finish bikes and would like to avoid buying two if possible. Thanks.
Great video! Small question, what grit of sandpaper did you use for scuffing the rotor? Thanks!
This is a very worn down 100 grit, probably closer to 400 now
I've now purchased a Ribble but with though axles rather than quick release. Never had them before. Might be a pain on the side of the road than the QR system. Any advantage? Quality stuff as always guys.👍

What fluid do you use in your ultrasonic cleaner?
What are the different types of grease used on the RD please? Two different types on the thru axle too?
These are our own greases available on www.bikespeeds.com/shop!🧡
That bulky shifter, is it shimano rs505?
Wednesday highlight again. Quick Q. Any recommendations for lubricant of road levers other than my usual squirt of spray lube once in a blue moon?
If you’re having problems with their actuation there’s probably something more at fault than lubricants, a once in a blue moon spray is usually enough🧡
@@Bikespeeds Thanks, no specific issues. Just looking to keep on top of maintenance to prevent something drastic.
How come you don’t align the rear derailleur hanger in any of your videos? It’s a must before resetting limit screws and adjusting tension.
What lube do you use on the pivot points please?
