- Hello from the Northern Sea Coast again 🌊This time I brought the Ravenna 34 with me. I’m always amazed by the deep and rich sound of Ravenna harps given they are Dusty Strings’ lower end instruments🤷♀️
I went down to the coast in the very early hours of the day to enjoy the gentle sun rays and I was delighted to hear the wind blowing through the strings, giving an almost handpan-like resonance to the instrument at the beginning and at the end.
What I’m playing here is a traditional Irish tune called the Monaghan jig. I recently discovered that tune and immediately fell in love with it - in a weird, obsessive kind of way. It feels like this tune captures all the beauty, sadness and energy of this world with its harmonies.

En l’occurrence le vent de la mer du nord est tellement fort que ma caméra s’est retrouvée plusieurs fois par terre pendant l’enregistrement… 😝merci pour ton commentaire, la partition est un transcription exacte de ce que je joue dans la vidéo, elle contient également les indications de doigtés ainsi qu’une version incluant le nom des cordes pour faciliter la lecture.
