Youth of this Generation are unlucky because they have not seen a Smile Box Screen and original 70mm format Movies.
Sangeeth Was a Different theatre with Arena type curved Seating and Also a Deep Curved screen. The sound system in Sangeeth Was Something that no one will forget. Rich smooth with fully loaded Bass that used to shake the Auditorium.
I remember in The Movie "Golden Eye" There is a Bullet shot scene.
Someone shoots at the Hero from behind.
By the Sound of that Bullet ----
The Entire Auditorium made a *awwww* sound after that shot 😊😊😊😊
It was so rich and Natural sounding. Sound was never loud in Sangeeth,it was Rich ,Clear and True to life.You will want to hear more and more.
Taal,Sakhi,Nayak,Movie Songs, were a Pleasure to listen in Sangeeth70mm.😊😊

Reason for such Sound Was the Sound Arrangement, Calibration, Use of Quality Speakers,Amps, and Most importantly the Theatre Acoustics.

You said it right ! This theatre is an emotion, truly !! Right from 1975 I watched so many English films till it's closure 😞. Sangeet was simply iconic. The seating, big screen, superb sound, foot tapping music before the show and during interval, awesome sandwiches, super soft drinks like Goldspot, Thumbs up & Limca in glass bottles was a must. The chota onion samosa and plain chips still create the nostalgia. As a kid, i used to save money & go to Sangeet where the tickets were for Rs. 5/- and Rs.13/- for balcony....which I'm sure the present gen won't believe
I m 61 now, it’s an amazing theatre for Hollywood movies during my college days. Seen many movies of that time.

Thanks for sharing this. Nostalgic about watching movies in this iconic Theatre. One of the best is the school oraganized movie, The 10 Commandments. The iconic scene of Red Sea parting. We were young, but still couldn’t stop ourselves clapping and shouting. Great experience of watching this movie in that Theatre. Gandhi, Animals of the Beautiful, Benhur, Anaconda yo name few with spectacular visual experience 😊

Sangeet Theatre was an iconic place for almost three decades. It was known for its quality sound systems, an elite crowd, and a great ambience, along with its signature Samosas and Sandwiches. Thanks to the excellent sound system, I saw many great movies there and never missed the trailers. Even today, I miss Sangeet, our go-to place, for many years.

Fully perfumed Auditorium,they used to play piano, strings, tabla, music before the movie Begins and in the Intervals😊😊.
Before the movie Begins they used to play a Sound System Trailer "The Digital Experience" DTS trailer later a few English forthcoming movie trailers.
The way they Presented the movie was classy which makes you feel you are sitting in an International destination.👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻.

Those days the Balcony ticket was 10 rupees and on first day first show if advance booking was not done then there was this Gentleman he was the sangeet management head I used to know him and he use to block some few tickets for VIP .... though I was not a VIP 🙂 but knew him he used to give us the tickets without charging anything extra great experience great crowd great era those days will never come back I will miss Sangeet.

Not only watching movies, even this theatre maintenance was also awesome. They had a very systematic way of running this theatre in those days. I watched many movies in this theatre, and obviously, it stands out to be my no 1 favorite theatre of all time. Waiting for it to reopen😊
Sangeet 70mm was best to remember for Hollywood movies in 90s as they are known to have maintained the quality of best DTS sound system in Hyderabad 🔊
Xenon lamp projection on curved screen❤very bright display. ticket prices were little higher than other theaters yet we witnessed Decent cinegoers, all class people coming from secbad and Marredpally and other areas, That feeling was like multiplex experience and good comfort experience.

As i remember Sakhi 2000 was the only Telugu movie they ran mrng show only for a very long run , when i asked the management they said they buy movies only if its AR Rahman musical cus they know the pulse of his music in their sound systems.❤Best quality experience 👏👏👏

Without prior announcement they abruptly shut down theatre. We are all still awaiting for Inauguration of Sangeet 😊but we know Sangeet will not be the same as we experienced it before😢😢will be in my memories all my life those Nostalgic moments we cherished with my parents, now i lost them both❤❤ ❤❤❤😢

Small correction here . Cinema Halls are the exhibition centres the cine producers run their movies paying the price to the Cinema Theatre for a week run or a long run as per the movie response. Cinema theatres don't buy Movies and run. The distributor pays the Cinema halls to run their movies.
The Reason why the Good technology movies are screened in Sangeeth is due to the Technical standards the theatre had.
They never used to play Telugu or Hindi movies which have poor production value that was the Standard Sangeet maintained.
I saw the Titanic movie in sangeet theater yes sound system is brilliant compare to all theater in city. In 1995. Yes 1990s kids never forget those days in sangeet theatre pakni hotel undedi we friends sit in that hotel before movie start missing those days in hyderabad.

Sad to hear that Sangeet is closed. There are zillions of memories associated with it. It was an iconic movie hall.
I can never forget the chutney sandwich there. Best experience of James Bond movies. Of course, James Cameroon’s True Lies. I got a Chihuahua dog then. When I saw a tiny Chihuahua in that movie I was thrilled. The scene where the giant of a man Arnold Schwarzenegger takes this few inches high Chihuahua for a walk in the rain is etched in my memory.
Great movie hall. Spent more time with friends in Sangeet than anywhere else. That was another world which will never repeat.

From 1993 to 2000 I watched many Hollywood movies in this theatre.. especially when I was studying engineering in 1993,this theatre was favourite all our friends.. evening show 4 pm to 7 pm .. favourite and convenient for students.. Jurassic park,titanic,baby's day out many more movies watched..even hindi movies like hum apke hai kaun run more than 200 days in this theatre in morning show..but I only watched all Hollywood movies during my college days..what is current position there... another point here Burger also very famous
