  • A viewer asked me to share tips on how to play specific classes. Enchanters are one of the most difficult classes to learn, so here's my stab at sharing how I play this interesting support class.

I got back into EQ a few months back after not playing since being in Plane of Time in PoP. It was super fun for a few months but once I got max level and the AA grind started I just didnt know anyone else that played and it was tough to find groups. Big nostalgia blast though.

I keep making new characters because I don't see much enjoyment in the high end of the game it seems like it would be a real grind so I make alts and that's the most fun I have.

@@FezzelwhigsForum That is what I enjoyed, the leveling process. I played a shaman and a monk and that was good fun.

I never understood if you were doing an enchanter charm build, would it be better to have CHA up items or INT items, with which would help stabilize the charm better? ( I understand the charm still will and can break even if you do it right though. )

I personally work on intelligence before Charisma because intelligence dictates how much Mana you have and casting more spells and more mezz is better. But charisma does help with charm.

So what is your favorite class?

I think it's Mage because I love their pets, but enchanters are a close second. I think my first character was a Barbarian Shaman on XEV server, but soon after I made my first gnome mage named Fezzelwhig and he became my main.

Any direct damage component of a spell will have a high chance of breaking root. This includes the initial part of shaman and chanter dots. There are some rare items that don't have a direct damage component such as the shaman epic, but they are very rare.

In my experience leveling a chanter solo/molo. Under 65 you can powerlevel yourself with a wiz merc set to aoe burn while you aoe stun mobs. At certain level you can stun lock them in a easy rotation. As levels goes up is more risky but damm good fun 😂
Anyway nice video showing the usual gameplay
