Another great one. So much to take in there. i reckon it could take the rest of my life to truly absorb and make decent use of even just a few of the ideas. Wish I'd seen and heard this when I was a lot younger!
Ya know, I'd never really taken a lot of interest in Scofield before, but all your references to him prompted me to have a really good listen over the last couple of days. Now I think I totally get what you love about his music. But what struck me most was the impression that your own playing style really shows Sco's influence - especially your phrasing. Is that a fair comment, do you think?
Hi Nick, thanks for sharing this great lesson. I'm a huge fan of Scofield, and this was a treat to my Saturday night here in Stavanger, Norway. You've nailed Hottentot for sure. Dig your style and even the tone seems to be very close. I'm actually considering a vintage Ibanez AR300AV right now. Seeing you play this gorgeous AR520 doesn't help reduce my GAS 😆 All the best, Thor
Thanks so much! Sco’s been a big influence for a long time now. I’ve always wanted to go to Norway. A good friend plays in the national orchestra there and it looks stunning. I’ve heard those AR300’s are good but haven’t tried one yet. But if they’re anything like my 520 (and AR420 I own), then it’ll be great. Thanks for watching
Sick! You came in and burned the whole town to the ground with that intro! #ScoBro
Thanks so much! Appreciate the kind words.
Thanks for the great lesson.
Thanks for watching! Check out part two of this if you haven’t already. I spoke to sco about how he approaches this second part of it. Cheers

Thanks Simon!
these B section chords have been haunting me for years! thanks for breaking this down so well
That’s a challenging section for sure. One can play Bb pentatonic over it all but that does really cut it. Glad this was useful. Thanks for watching
oh man, this is killin!
Cheers for watching
That was Incredible!!! So freaking tasty and delicious!
Thank you Sir! Appreciate the kind words
I’m loving these videos - thanks so much for the reminder to listen to Sco and the tips.
Glad you like them! Sco’s the man. So much to learn from the master
I love this song. So glad you did this. I love your take on it. Your playing is just unreal. 🔥
Thanks mate! I love this tune too. Cheers

Oh for sure, he’s been a big influence on my playing. Thanks
Awsome stuff man. Recently picked up and Ibanez JSM20 and really got me into Scofield's music. Definetly have to study this. 😊
Those jsm20’s are nice guitars. Cool
