I made an updated template for this build: bit.ly/2Ijv6Ne This has improvements over the one that didn't work in the video. It includes my Dino codes, and additional information.
In making a Jurassic Park Jeep from a Jeep YJ, I have found myself running more into being less movie accurate for sake of space and the fact this is a daily driver and trail rig, not a sit in movie prop. I started to notice in the movie that the front fog lights were never used, but the back ones above the tail lights were. I knew they had the whip antennas for the CB radios. However, nobody used a CB radio from the vehicle. I have found one needs to put the whip antenna straight up before receiving and transmitting or else it will fry the finals in an actual CB radio. I found the CB radio fits nicely into the cubby hole above the glovebox. However, when I later put in the boat searchlights found on Jurassic Park Jeep #12, the movie showed what was possibly the controllers for said search lights in the same cubby hole. I wound up wiring all four lights to 2 double pole double throw switches with momentary on/off/on switches to control the side to side, as well as up and down movement. Those switches went next to the steering wheel. Then came the surprise that people found when they put the boat searchlights onto their Jurassic Park Jeeps. A whistling noise that increases to deafening levels the faster one goes. Come to find out, the four screw holes underneath that secure the top lid of the searchlight to the bottom portion causes the whistling. Some have put earplugs into the holes while others have taped over the holes.
Some asshole: well it's not a real cryogenic case and it doesn't spray Me: This guy made a movie prop replica that isn't exactly how the fictional version is! See, nobody cares!
Please ......please......please .....please .....please.......please i want to invention to be like guko pppppppppppppppppppppllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
I am a twelve year old kid who loves this type of stuff and creating, drawing, and thinking of cool things and then when I watch Odin make stuff like this it makes me happy to see that a lot more people are into this stuff and like doing things in that category. 🤩🤣😜🤯 💪😇💪
Thank you! Will be using your design :) You think you can make the Fortnight smokebomb? I seen a guy make a mini one but lets be honest its not Odin made xD
Loved this video!! As a huge JP fan and amateur replica prop builder, I will definitely be giving this a go. Somebody who knows I like JP actually bought me one of those Barbasol 'hide a can's so I might just use that.
Stop listening to my private conversations, TH-cam! I literally was talking about wanting this last night when my girlfriend was shaving my head. I use this same shaving cream.. and I'm a huge fan of Jurassic Park
So... you bought a Barbasol can, just to put another label on it... sounds normal to me... But seriously, does that mean you could buy just any can of shaving cream with a blur cap and just put the label on it?
Yes. Most cans I saw on the shelf currently are made just like this, or has a domed top that is quite different. If I was to make another, I wold also spray white primer over the original label, the sticker is a little too see-through for me.
Dear Odin, can u pls make a staff of Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians out of pvc pipes, maybe with foam with some nice frost lighting effect if u can. TQ
Just a tip from my destructive teenage years - stick the can in the freezer for a few hours, cut the bottom off the can with a hacksaw and the contents will slide out in one frozen cylinder. The foam will expand as it melts so dump it, unless you want to drop it on people's lawns or in their cars to freak them out like I did when I was a kid.
Thanks. Great how-to! As an aside, I found it better to remove the bottom of the can using a "safety can" opener that cuts through the can bottom edge, leaving a very smooth edge to the bottom of the can. Keeps the can's integrity and makes it much sturdier... far less malleable and definitely not sharp or jagged.
Just a quick tip, but for the transfer of hole's center points from your template, a quick and easy change can it much easier. On the template, use the computer to make a perfectly centred Crosshair in the circles. This takes the guessing work out, and also allows other people who aren't as handy to get a repeatable result.
Adam savage is like the rich kids dad, his son always shows up with the coolest most accurate props, and costumes, with the most functionality. Odin is like your dad, who doesn't have nearly as much know how, skill, or money but tries as hard as he can to make you cool stuff. Its kind of wholesome.
This is indeed amazing, especially since I am a fan of the films. Will definitely plan on using this for a future summer project, especially if one of my shaving cream cans runs out (As a fan, I purposefully ONLY use Barbasol for shaving).

Love that you opened it up without emptying it :)
Some asshole: well it's not a real cryogenic case and it doesn't spray
Me: This guy made a movie prop replica that isn't exactly how the fictional version is! See, nobody cares!
charlierw I see what you did there.
Isaac Encarnacion glad someone did
"It's not a real cryogenic case"
Yeah and there weren't any real dino embryos in the movie. Fiction isn't real, shocking I know.
I saw it too, I laughed!
LOL I got it!
Can you make a john Hammond cane
Watch Peter Brown and Pocket 84's (I think that's his name) build. It's super detailed and beautiful
With the amber stone/insect at the top, Yh that would be cool...

I am a twelve year old kid who loves this type of stuff and creating, drawing, and thinking of cool things and then when I watch Odin make stuff like this it makes me happy to see that a lot more people are into this stuff and like doing things in that category. 🤩🤣😜🤯 💪😇💪
One of my favorite TH-camrs building a prop from one of my movies? My level of joy cannot be measured
Odin's channel actually does feel like a DIY TV Channel
Imagine if Odin got hired to make props for movies
I love that you allow us a glimpse into your mind. Brilliant!!
Thank you for opening the full one with the can opener... that was hilarious 😂

You think you could build the colt from supernatural?
The sound the prop made at the end was so satisfying. to see it come together even moreso.
Can you make daft punk helmets or Eddie van Halen’s frankinstrat
RK ader
I'd love to see a Thomas helmet
That's would be headass
Buing from a kit guitar? That would have Been so fun! (And time consuming)
The Frankenstrat is not a prop.
Wupme I know it is not a prop I just thought you can build one and you build props so I thought it is close enough
Now this is a darn clever prop build Mr.Odin!!
Awesome as always.
Thank you!
Awesome idea Oden! Keep coming with Jurassic Park projects!
Splendid dear chap, quite splendid!

You think you can make the Fortnight smokebomb? I seen a guy make a mini one but lets be honest its not Odin made xD
Once again sir, you never disappoint. Always enjoy watching you work and figure it out on camera.
Hey Odin I love your work very cool but can you make the eye of agamoto from Dr strange
the crossover between my two favorite prop makers has begun
Sameeeeeeeeeeeee
Opening it first #worthit
Yet again, another amazing build.
Please make the book of the recently deceased, the sand worm, or just any thing from beetle juice because they are making a second
I love Beetlejuice! I had made a striped suit costume and handbook, to attend the movie when it first ran in theaters.
Omg that would be amazing we need to see how to make the handbook
Surely you just print a book cover & put it over an old book?
Odin Makes wtf
w well
t that’s
f fantastic
Loved this video!! As a huge JP fan and amateur replica prop builder, I will definitely be giving this a go. Somebody who knows I like JP actually bought me one of those Barbasol 'hide a can's so I might just use that.
Odin I tried to make the infinity gauntlet and it turned into total crap
Peytoncarter45555
Did you preheat the furnace to Sun? That’s vital.
Did you have to snap your fingers to turn it into crap?
JK. I imagine that would be a tough replica to attempt... I think I would probably start with a big work glove, maybe even a welding glove.
That’s legit, Odin. Well done!
0:33 when no nut November finally ends
Stop listening to my private conversations, TH-cam!
I literally was talking about wanting this last night when my girlfriend was shaving my head. I use this same shaving cream.. and I'm a huge fan of Jurassic Park

Amazing work. I love the creativity and the touch to every single small details . Perfection. You are brilliant.
So... you bought a Barbasol can, just to put another label on it... sounds normal to me...

Dude WHAT!?! That's sick!! I want one!!!
I need one of those so I can put my drugs in it
Very great! Congratulations!
When you realize that odin can actually cosplay as the same dude from the movie
Just a tip from my destructive teenage years - stick the can in the freezer for a few hours, cut the bottom off the can with a hacksaw and the contents will slide out in one frozen cylinder.
The foam will expand as it melts so dump it, unless you want to drop it on people's lawns or in their cars to freak them out like I did when I was a kid.
Sounds like less of a mess! I like it.
Fantastic job Odin!
Nice one, your props are the best. Loved it. Thanks.
Spared No Expense Odin always finds a way👍 Good prop Build Big Fan and Jurassic Fan
Definetly my favorite video!! I love the original film and seeing you make this was really cool. Keep up the great work

Creating movie props and happiness. You're one of the good ones sir!
Thank you!
I love that you made yours free-hand and not using a 3-D printer [which many of us don't have]!
Now here’s a project I can actually do. Thanks Odin!
Just a quick tip, but for the transfer of hole's center points from your template, a quick and easy change can it much easier. Awesome!!!! You are an artist!!!! I love this cryogenic can!!!

Adam savage is like the rich kids dad, his son always shows up with the coolest most accurate props, and costumes, with the most functionality. Odin is like your dad, who doesn't have nearly as much know how, skill, or money but tries as hard as he can to make you cool stuff.

Tony D'Annunzio **WHEEZE**
You beautiful bastard Odin .!
I like how this guy thinks. Thinking out of the box and being creative with different materials.
You might be able to fit a travel-size barbasol can in the top of the can and rig the nozzle to the smaller can?
Jake got a shoutout!!! The shoutout circle is now complete!!!!!
Can you make Nero’s sword Red Queen from Devil May Cry 4?
I get that reference at the end, Odin you sneaky minx
Finally a Jurassic park movie prop
This is indeed amazing, especially since I am a fan of the films. Will definitely plan on using this for a future summer project, especially if one of my shaving cream cans runs out (As a fan, I purposefully ONLY use Barbasol for shaving).
Very good job on the build!
Im watching this for the 4th or 5th time. Its just so exciting xD
