    Guys is blindness/stroke really likely or possible with fillers? I really want to get my chin done but this is all that’s holding me back

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dafft Dave, blindness as a complication from filler injections is fortunately, very very rare. In the very few cases, blindness occurred immediately during the injection. Most cases of blindness occurred with fat injection. The high risk areas for intravascular injection are deep to the nasolabial folds and between the eyebrow. The chin and the cheekbones are low risk areas.
      To keep ocular injuries to a minimum, physicians should:
      1. Use microcanulas, the blunt tip decreases risk of injecting in a vessel.
      2. Avoid high risk areas.
      3. Inject superficially, far from arteries.
      4. Keep the cannula moving while injecting to avoid injecting in an artery.
      We hope this is helpful.

    Hi David. Can you tell me how much filler is typically required to remove moderate circles under the eyes? Also, when less than a syringe is used, is the excess (a) stored or credited to the patient for future visits or (b) applied to another spot on the face that would most likely benefit?

  • @TheWarrenJWinstonShow
    @TheWarrenJWinstonShow 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I thought it was high risk to put filler in the nose

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're totally right! The nose *is* a high risk area, as filler has a higher chance to block or compress and artery in the nose than other areas. That's why it's SUPER important to find an experienced, well qualified injector who (1) is upfront about the risks, (2) has plenty of experience with non-surgical rhinoplasties, and (3) knows how to properly reduce the risk of blocking or compressing an artery. We take this risk very seriously, so at our office *only* Dr. Mabrie does nose injections.
      Check our our gallery of nose filler patients who have all safely had non-surgical rhinoplasties with Dr. Mabrie: www.yourfaceinourhands.com/gallery/shape-define/non-surgical-rhinoplasty/
      Thanks and hope that answers your question!

    Are these fillers temporary or permanent?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question Lee!
      In our office we prefer temporary Hyaluronic Acid filler and results can last from 12 up to 24 months. There are permanent filler options, such as silicone, Bellafill, or autologous fat injections (using the patient’s own fat). But we don't recommend and offer them.

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI Jetfumes. I have tried Belotero for the under eyes but I still prefer Restylane. I like to use Restylane because it is a smooth dermal filler (great for the thin skin under the eyes), it stays in place, and is 100% reversible.

    Congratulation Dr. your face look so well but what is the fillers that you use in yourself. Watching your different videos that you post here i saw that the juvederm is mostly the way you go.

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer different dermal fillers for different areas of the face. I love using Juvederm Voluma for the cheekbones, midface and chin; Restylane for the tear troughs and nose; Juvederm Ultra for the lips; and Juvederm Ultra Plus for around the mouth.

  • @originalm3233
    @originalm3233 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    *I have been to your website and it mentions multiple treatments over 1 to 2 months for fillers. If I tell you I want a stronger chin is it possible to do it in one session/appointment? I don't live in SF.*

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Original M, thank you so much for watching our video. During your initial treatment we can only add a certain amount of filler. We don't want to over-injecting a single treatment area because excess filler tends to spread out, not producing results we want.
      Layering filler at a second appointment allows us to “stack” onto the first layer and double the volume in the places where you need it. We also don’t want to add any additional filler until the swelling has gone down and you’re completely healed.
      Besides waiting for all the swelling to resolve, waiting a month or so gives the fillers time to disperse. Think of it this way: It’s like applying 2 coats of paint or nail polish. When the first coat dries, it contracts and thins in certain areas, so a second coat is required to reach the desired result. Similarly, after the initial filler treatment, we must wait for the swelling to subside because the results will contract and different areas may need more filler.
      I hope this is helpful.

    This is amazing quick question how much would a full face be and would it look different if you have acne scars ?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Irving Nolasco! Total treatment costs vary for each patient and depends on your facial anatomy, your goals and your schedule. During a consultation we will go over all of these and I will create a personalized treatment plan for you. For a list of product pricing, visit my website here: www.yourfaceinourhands.com/financing.cfm
      Acne scars themselves can be difficult to treat but sometimes dermal fillers can help. They will not however affect your filler treatment.

      The cost for a consultation is $175, it is a distinctive charge and does not apply to your
      treatment. During this time I will sit down with you one-on-one to take a series of photographs, examine your face and discuss your goals. I will then develop a treatment plan for you and I can even do treatment on the same day!

    Do you have any other procedures that can give a slight lift to the mouth corners and lower face that will last longer? I have good volume and I'm not drooping as I'm only a 26 year old. But when I lift my skin/face from the jawline slightly upwards, it gives me the desired look I want as it lifts the mouth corners giving me that friendly, appealing neutral look vs the mean look I currently have.

    I have bed lines on my forehead and several wrinkles. I know about the temporary botox treatments, but can these be treated permanently or at least for long term (10 yrs). • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jonvolca Man! Usually long term results like this are obtainable only through surgery. I prefer Botox for the forehead lines as the treatment has little downtime and great results!

  • @jonwigfall
    @jonwigfall 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Doctor what are the long term effects of fillers. I am 30 and want to know if I will look like a plastic surgery person by continuously doing this up until 50. Also will working out cause any effects over time?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are no known long term effects of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. These dermal fillers are temporary (lasting 1-2 years) as your body will break down the product over time. If you maintain your results about 1-2 times a year and go for natural results, you should be fine.

  • @wasimjaan3300
    @wasimjaan3300 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thats dreat to see Sir, are fillars permanent?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I prefer to use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers because they are 100% reversible but unfortunately are not permanent. Most of the dermal fillers I use can last 1-2 years and I recommend returning either every 6-8 months or 12-14 months to maintain results, depending on the type of dermal filler used.

      Great question bosgo0or! Not always, it depends on the patient's facial anatomy. If you already have great cheekbones but want to define your chin and jawline, I would only inject just those areas.

  • @radamescenteno2640

    How are fillers different from fat transfer. I have researched it and they say fat transfer last longer and it's natural.

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fat transfer uses your own fat to add volume to your face. The process does take longer as the fat must be first collected and then centrifuged before injected, and usually requires a general anesthetic to inject, results are also not reversible. On the other hand, Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be injected with a local anesthetic in about 30 minutes and are 100% reversible.

    • @DavidMabrieMD

      Great question! Dermal fillers are injected to add volume back into the face, lifting and plumping from within. Botox or Dysport are used to treat wrinkles on the forehead, brow and around the eyes by immobilizing the muscles.

      Hi Ibrahim! Most hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, like Restylane and Juvederm Ultra, will stay in your body for up to 1 year but you will see your results decrease by half at about 6-8 months. I recommend that my patients return at 6 months to maintain their results from these dermal fillers. Juvederm Voluma on the other hand, can last for up to 2 years and I recommend that my patients return every 12 months to maintain results from this dermal filler.

    Hi, where are you located pls, and around how much for eyes fillers, just to have an idea and take some money out of my bank

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Fernando! I am located in downtown San Francisco at Union Square. At my office, I charge based on area not product used. We are a results based practice and will use what is needed for your results! To treat a single area like the under eyes, the cost is $2700.

  • @enriquecruz6414
    @enriquecruz6414 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    how much that cost?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cost of treatment varies for each patient and depends on the type of dermal filler and how many syringes used. During a consultation, I develop a treatment plan for my patients, letting them know all of this information before proceeding with treatment. To get an idea of the prices for each dermal filler, check out my website at www.yourfaceinourhands.com/financing.cfm.

    How much does this cost cos my Jawline is good but my chin is so flat and it doesn't look right

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cost for this procedure will vary for every person and depends on 3 things: The patient's facial anatomy, the patient's goals, and the patient's schedule. I typically like to use Juvederm Voluma and/or Radiesse for this procedure which are $1275 and $975 per syringe.

      +Mabrie Facial Cosmetic: David C. Mabrie, M.D. Dr is this permanent for life time or for some period?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mh Live. The dermal fillers I use are not permanent. I prefer temporary, reversible dermal fillers because they give you more control over your results. Depending on the filler and the area treated, these fillers last between 6 months and two years at first. Each time you have filler treatment they last a little longer. Most patients will visit us once or twice a year to maintain results.

    Hi, just wondering for how long those fillers will last? And for under the eye, I don't have bags or dark circles but it started to kinda of sunk in if that make sense? It's bothering me and I'm considering doing something for it! Thanks :)

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it makes sense. You may benefit from restoring volume with a filler like Juvederm Voluma. It lasts up to 2 years and is helpful in the mid face, which can help a sunken look.

    I got this deep scar on the crown of my head. It is like a deformation of my head, it is 2cm long and maybe 5mm deep. Could this be filled?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Hellenic! It is possible, I often treat scars with dermal filler but I would need to examine the scar in person to see if dermal filler would be an option.

    can these fillers shift or move from the target zones under stress etc

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fillers I like to use in the face, Restylane, Juvederm Ultra, and Juvederm Voluma generally do not migrate but stay where you inject them.

    • @DavidMabrieMD

      Great Questions! I prefer to use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers because they are 100% reversible, though they are temporary. This gives you more control over your results.

    Holy shit 2grand for eye botox!?

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Aradia - Thanks for checking out our video Filler in Men. $2k for Botox would probably give us the same reaction. Lol. Our office specializes in filler and Botox and the pricing you saw may be for a filler treatment. In Men, filler can enhance and rejuvenate the appearance by eliminating under eye dark circles/bags, restore volume to sagging/droopy skin, and contour the chin/jawline to chisel your features. If you're thinking about treatment, be sure to find an Expert Injector. Filler and Botox treatments are medical procedures - price shopping isn't the best option for the best results. Your face is worth it!

    Do fillers make your cheeks slimmer and give you a lower lift where your jaw is? I used to have a more prominent jaw line, it wasnt definitive, but it was there. I really do not want to do a buccal fat surgery. I am 29.

    • @DavidMabrieMD
      @DavidMabrieMD  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I can reshape the face using dermal fillers, giving the cheeks a slimmer appearance and defining the jawline. I would likely use Juvederm Volume for this, a reversible and long lasting dermal filler!
