Carbon fiber unibody in 1992! 0_o Can't be said enough how forward looking his technology was.

Wiegert was so far ahead that he wanted antilock brakes when they were still a prototype-level technology. He had to compromise by installing a damper valve that was adjusted from the dashboard and wait until the technology caught up! This car was on the drawing board since the 1970s! If I could drive any car I wanted for a day, it wouldn't be a Lamborghini or a Porsche. I would drive a Vector, hands down. I think Andre Agassi was one of his most loyal customers. He put his name on a long waiting list and got one of the first Vectors to leave the factory.

Unfortunately Mr Wiegert was a misunderstood genius who’s gone unappreciated in his own land 🙁🇺🇸💔🙁🇺🇸💔

I wish the company could have been more successful. It was really difficult for them to get financing. That's really too bad because they made a great car.

Jerry has the same problem as other wanna be car makers that I have worked for like Tom McBernie. They get caught up in the hype and start to believe their own bullshit. WANTING to make 1000 hp is not the same as MAKING 1000 hp. Advanced at the time but antiquated now. I have been to that factory with the Ferrari club about 1 year before this film was made. So many off the shelf GM parts and really bad "home made" wiring harnesses. You can't spend MILLIONS of dollars of investor cash living the high life and NOT producing cars or have a better marketing or branding program than the CEO running around saying "It's a fighter jet for the street!" I saw this car when it first came out when I was 12 and it really inspired me to get into working on and building performance cars. Just wish Jerry would have put the car first before himself.
