Why would you say, "and why we got rid of it"? If you're leasing, of course you're getting rid of it, but then you leased another CX-5. Click bait much? I have a 2013 CX-5 with zero problems. All he really complained about was the seat control.

Actually if you lease you do have a option if you want to keep the car or just return it back to the dealer. If you want to keep the car you have to pay the remaining value of it.

I've owned my 2018 for almost 3 years and just ticked over 100K miles, no issues whatsoever. I do wish the seats were more supportive and at times it feels underpowered but it does most everything else very well. I purchased the car in January of 2018 with 16K miles, next car will most likely also be a Mazda

Best car I have ever owned. A point about the other vehicles you referenced. By far, the CX5 has the most cabin room and makes that room available for people. At 6'4", comfort behind the wheel is a premium feature. Add to that highway fuel economy exceeding 34 mpg, after 3 years, plenty of go off a stop which is important at highway on ramps...and you have a winner.

I just bought my 2018 CX-5 Touring for $17,200 at the end of my lease (residual value). It had 18940 miles on it, and I did all my oil changes (every 4K miles with Mobil1 Extended Full Synthetic), and kept it immaculate in my garage. Car prices have skyrocketed, and I thought where can I buy a great car in this great of shape for $17,200? I couldn't, so I bought it :) Love this car...zero problems, drives great, and I don't see a reason it won't easily hit 150K miles with proper maintenance.

As the owner of a 2018 Mazda 3 Touring, 2020 Mazda 3 Carbon edition and a 2021 CX-9 Carbon Edition these are the most amazing price to quality cars out there. The mpg, the amazing quality, the luxurious feel they give, they're quite amazing. However with my dealer I DO have problems and they are very stuck up and hate when I have warranty issues. Even on my 2020! They will fight tooth and nail with me for something that's obviously warranty and say it's not their problem, pretty ridiculous when I've bought 3 cars from them

Just bought a 2021 Grand Touring, same color, so glad to hear about the paint. I am still learning all the features. I have one question. When you raise or lower the power tailgate is there any safety mechanism that will stop it in case a kid tries to reach in when coming down. Or, when raising in a new spot, stopping it from hitting the parking deck top. The windows have one so if you have your arm out the window it stops. The liftgate is much heahier.

Was at a Subaru dealer recently to pick up my partner's Gen 2 Forester and I casually mentioned to the service advisor that I had a newer Mazda CX-5 and he had nothing but praise for it and thought it was mechanically better than the Forester. The CX-5 has a 6-speed transmission which I like better than the CVT on the Forester, and doesn't have the ridiculous engine shutoff the Forester has that kicks in every time the Forester comes to a complete stop. The Forester does have a softer ride, but the CX-5 feels tighter in terms of handling.

When I was a tech at a Mazda Dealership we noticed a few times that plastic cover getting broken like that. Every time it was caused by the operator/driver. Usually people who are short. They slide out of the seat which puts pressure on the panel. Or because the seat is too far forward and as they get out their feet kick the bottom of the panel. I am about 6 foot and never had that issue getting in and out of the vehicle.

I bought a 2014 Mazda CX-5 the first with the sky active technology in 01/13 it was their top of the line Signature model. I recently traded it in for a 2021 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Addition. The new has a lot of more features and is quieter in the inside, but the biggest plus is the turbo engine. The real surprise is I paid about the same for both vehicles $31,000. How does Mazda 8 years later sell me a better equipped CX-5 for the same money? Mazda for the money is the best car line on the market. The CX-5 is my wife’s I am waiting to see if Mazda will come out with the 6 in rear wheel drive with the inline 6 cylinder engine. If they do I will be first inline.

First 2 had over 200 thousand miles on them and all I ever did was put a half shaft in one because my wife hit a few deep potholes. I changed plugs in the 92 at about 120 grand in the summer , but it didn't need them. the 2011 has 75 thou on it and the 2020 has 5000 I love both of them , especially the 2020 cx5 . He makes a great point at about 6:10 about getting another CX-5. I had two consecutive Mazda 3's of the same generation - a 2014 and 2018 - and I have NEVER done that before (I've been owning cars since 1986). My 3's were also a Touring-to-Grand Touring step up. I now have a 2019 CX-5 GT Reserve and not one competitor makes me want to leave it. Mazda has a magic to it that I hope they don't lose. I was a Honda driver for 18 straight years because they just had that something about them; then they lost the plot (and regained it recently, but then also dunked their head in the CVT/economy turbo bucket, so I'm not quite interested again).

No. Bumper to bumper is only for big things. I had to pay for my seat clip in my 2015 mazda3, and I had the seat cushion replaced because the stitching went bad. Originally they were not going to warranty the replacement as it happened in 2017. The seat cushions are only covered for 1 year.
