I just type "/ Library / Extensions" in the path searcher. By typing this you can choose between "/ Library " and "/ System / Library" , which are *two different things*. ***Absolutely never, ever mess with "/ System / Library" unless you're 1000% certain what you're doing.*** My guess is that the cache files are on both libraries tho. Also... The "user library" (in your home folder) is a joke, you cannot access nothing. The problem, all 3 library files look and are named identically, do NOT mess up. Apple hide the real libraries on purpose and it drives me absolutely nuts! >:(

Those two folders aren’t the same filepath, which is why clearing the first cache didn’t clear the second one. The first one was ~/Library and the second one was /Library. First one was your user library and the second one was the system library-VERY different

There are two cache folders: one in users library and the other under system library. That's why you deleted the files and you found some others in the system library folder.

Sounds good! The CleanMyMac tutorial said not to delete the folders, only the contents. Why would he advise that if you can just go ahead and delete everything? Also, some of my applications/programs on my MAC have individual Cache folders e.g. Office apps. Can I just do the same thing to those Cache folders? thanks.
Hey I'm not sure if you can answer this but, If I use logic or any other DAW on a mac, by going to the "cache folder" and deleting the folders in it, will it affect any of the contents within logic or another program I might use? Really want to know before i start deleting to clear space and optimize performance of the computer.
