See how Abrines sets a backscreen to block Gist's way and how AMAZINGLY fast Diamantidis understands the play and immediately leaves Abrines and jumps right onto Tomic giving him a block to remember!!

And yet, the true best highlights of this guy are not visible to the common basketball fan eyes and therefore not included in this video. His unparalleled mastery in defense, passing and game control, especially in his younger days where his speed was unmatched too, are the true elements that made him an all-time elite player

Diamantidis and Jasikevicius. Best Panathinaikos era
My father used to consider Diamantidis better player than Spanoulis. He was Paok fan and I am Aris fan so it was not club related. For my fatger he was greatest Greek player of the era. Of course Galis the best of all time by very far and my father would not say any different.
Galis > Spanoulis > Diamantidis.
