- A quick tour of the double dorms at SHU Yanchang Campus! We’re studying abroad in Shanghai for a year and thought it’d be interesting to share what our dorm looks like.

Also I mentioned we bought our bedsheets/pillowcases from RT-Mart. This is a huge store in Daning Plaza that will have probably everything you need (food, soap, kitchenware, school supplies, clothes, etc.)

Wow, I just happened to search Yanchang Shanghai and found this just uploaded now. I did a year with USAC and just got home in May. Could you pleaaaaase take some videos of walking around campus and around the streets, like to da'ning plaza or even the local McDonalds haha? I miss it so much and there are literally no videos at all online.

HI thank you for your video! I'm going to stay there on exchange but couldnt find any videos on this. Are there any studios or rooms for only one person?? how close is this to the main campus?

If you got a scholarship do single room would be far cheaper and you can afford. Would you take single or double?
Liqrit Rs I think you’re asking if the single dorm was affordable, which would I choose? I would probably choose the single dorms, as the building is a remodeled, you have privacy, a shared kitchen, etc.

Jessi Lee Hi, yes there are bathrooms on each floor (6 floors total). Each side of a floor has two communal bathrooms, so 4 double rooms will share a communal bathroom. I made a video explaining the bathrooms and common area more :)
Thanks for sharing this video, I've got an admission to complete my master degree at SHU, how do you evaluate the University when it comes to business studied and is it possible to find a part time job there ?

Congratulations! I can only speak for the business classes that I took, which were organized specifically for my program. However, all the professors were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot (but since you’re doing your Master’s, you probably have a solid business background and may not learn as much as someone who’s completely new).
I’m not sure about part-time jobs, but you may need to ensure that you’re able to work with your visa? You can always teach a child English if you have connections with a family and get paid through WeChat or cash, but that’s a risk.

May I know how far is the campus from the accommodation and the average amount of money students could spend on food?
B O The double dorm shown in the video (as well as the single dorm) is on campus! They are both only 1-2 minutes walking distance to the school canteen and convenience store.
It really depends on the individual, but the cheaper options for food would be the school canteen (where you use your ID card to purchase food) and various small restaurants. There’s some good ones on Yanchang Road! More expensive places would be eating at a place that has international food.
So you could spend 10 yuan on a meal, or 100 yuan, it really depends.
