- Some huge sales of cards recently could show the hobby is back in the black. Did Geoff Wilson, aka the Sports Card Investor, take a $300K loss on a Michael Jordan rookie? Did Card Collector 2 lie on Instagram? And a dealer was busted Chris Hansen style.

the 52 topps Bob Borkowski you showed on comc are reprints. Its a 6th series high number (anything above 311 in 1952 topps). A PSA/SGC 1 would be around $100

That 1952 Topps Borkowski PSA 9 is a SP high number … even raw that can not be had for under $1 … think those were reprints.

There was no logical reason to think Fleer Jordan prices were going to stay that high. They aren’t that rare. There wasn’t going to be this sudden scarcity where they would never going to be available. Just dumb, and suckers like Geoff bought into it .

The attention to kids in the hobby is extremely strange. Especially when you see influences being a little too nice to a child while the parent stands behind equally starstruck letting these losers touch thier kids and be sweet (flirting) and then posting on the social media. Essentially grooming in plain sight. The surprise isn't that hobby hero are getting caught for this creepy behavior, it is that there aren't more people getting caught.

I sold 4 C Ronaldo Megacraques 2003 PSA 10's for approx $600 each. That card went up to $312k in 2021

Sold my 86 fleer psa 7 for 76k 😂😂 that was a couple years ago but still 🤷♂️ I took to my lcs and he put it up on ebay and we got the offer in about 4min

I've submitted about 500 cards to BGS. Hardly ever get any 10 subgrades. Got 3 pristine 10's in total. It's all controlled. I've cracked stickers and got back different grades on the centering

Idk... Call me crazy but there is no card market... All it is is what a certain (the right person) person at a certain ( the right time)time is willing to pay for a card... For example : one day a Jordan card can sell for 500k at an auction that was set in the evening on a weekend and the very next day it cud see for 200k in a morning auction on a Monday... There's no one person regulating the market like it was years ago wen u had Beckett... They set the price then it was up to the owner to sell it for more or less... Now a days u can have a person how knows nothing about cards,sports, or any physical activity for that matter pull a 1 of 1 CJ Stroud... And he can sell it for 1k... And that becomes the cards market value...
We all have taken losses. Now, a 300k loss. That’s a class of its own

@@kurtanglerookieyear Yep, had problems with PSA, BGS and SGC. PSA are the worst. They damage your cards regularly, don't own up and give you back PSA 6's with creased cards inside.
I like what TAG is doing and I like the slabs too. But tbh PSA is still king and will be for years to come. If PSA gets caught up in a scandal or lawsuit or something then I can see some other company rising to the top.
