I was raised in a very chaotic household but now that I am a mother I have tried to be more grounded and calm especially around my children. Your channel has taught me a lot about not only the importance of planning and organization but also the importance of calm and patient living. I want to thank you for sharing your content. You are such an inspiration
I want to second your praises of Nikki's calm and patient demeanor. My childhood was also chaotic. As an adult, I was on a quest to discover peace. Once found, I struggled to implement it into the keeping of my home. Seeing how Nikki moves through her tasks slowly, but with purpose and grace, is a welcome challenge to plan my tasks and truly be in the moment in my own homemaking.
My sweet Mom.was always refreshing rooms every season. Moving furniture around. Adding flowers or a plant. This was done after Christmas spring and fall. It never a dull moment with any room in our house.
I don’t have any kids but I have been married to my husband for ten plus years. I’ve been really enjoying your series at this point in my life. I appreciate the time you give to your family and extended family! So nice
You’re right rearranging or refreshing the house can make all the difference. I too love it when a day goes just as planned and a lot gets accomplished.
I love watching your videos while I do housework. It feels like I am a Jane Austen lady with a Dario Marinelli soundtrack. My house is full of living plants and trees! I love caring for them. What a sweet thing to make dinner for your great aunt and bring her flowers. I have been wanting to do this for my husband’s elderly relatives, so thank you for the inspiration. ❤
I know your aunt and cousin will love the flowers, and I can feel the joy you get from giving them. You are such a thoughtful person, Nikki, which inspires all of us. 🥀 Love, Alicia
The music was so beautiful today and your room rearrangement is so lovely. It does feels so good to rearrange a room. I don't remember you mentioning that your mom had moved. You must miss morning coffees with her. You give a lot of joy to others Nikki. So kind and thoughtful to bring food and flowers to your great aunt as well as your cousin. Wishing you a blessed day.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the music! My mom has been going between Lake Havasu and Vegas for a while now, usually staying with her friend. Now she has her own place with one of my sisters that she can call home too. The best of both worlds. She will still stay in her tiny house when she’s in Vegas as usual. She is loving retirement!
Great video Nikki! I loved the music you chose. The room looks much better simplified. Beautiful flower arrangements! It feels good accomplishing all that you had set out for the day. 💖
I always look forward to the cinematography of your videos. Loved the gliding of the Chairs reflecting off the shiny floors...so peaceful. I am also in the process of pruning the Vintage Pothos and sharing them. Let me know if you know any takers. Your too many legs observation was so funny. I think I counted 27 legs. The flower arrangements looked so beautiful. God bless!.
Hey darling, just wanted to suggest a grow light bulb for your plants. Just install it into any of the lamps you already have on hand then place the lamp near your plants. I have all mine on a timer that way I don’t have to worry with turning them on and off. TFS TTYL😊
We have an enormous indoor ficus, the same as your baby one, and it has 2 branches coming up. So it does not look like a tree but more like a strange bush with 2 separate skinny stalks. It is too mature to train, and I wish I would have known and trained it into one branch, or tree trunk when it was as small as yours. I probably would have even braided it. When it is young like yours, it is still pliable and easier to train. Once it matures into a huge 7-9 footer, the trunk and branch become too brittle to train. All your plants are lovely!
Your home is lovely and like a peaceful haven :) I love how you take care of it, and of all your family and relatives. I hope your mum still lives next to you in the pretty tiny house with the amazing deck and the new addition above it: I was so excited for her to see it built in a recent video. Living close to your mum when you have such a great relationship is one of the happiest and most precious things in life. 💝If only my mum was still with us...💖
You do such a good job thinking of new ways to arrange your furniture and accessories in your home. Your flower arrangements are beautiful - I love the wintry roses!
I appreciate how you turn homemaking into a play. The bigger patterned chair looks really nice next to the mirror. They match well. Inspired as always. 💐
Hi Nikki! I love how you have everything arranged in your house. :) I have a plant question for you. Do you ever have a problem with gnats or little flying bugs from your indoor plants? My boss loves bringing plants to work, but they seem to attract little flying bugs.
I had the same issue and since i seem to be collecting plants like most people collect... 🤔🤷♀️ what do people collect? 🤣 You can put black pepper our cinnamon on top of the soil or a product called "mosquito bits". You'll juet have to tinker with what works for you. I like the mosquito bits because they dont make the water bead up on the soil... The cinnamon smells very christmasy which was nice but the water beading was horrendous. The black pepper didn't bead up but I want sure how much was too much and if too much would damage the roots.
Thank you, Marcela! I have seen some in the past but haven’t noticed them in recent years. I’ve read natural remedies but haven’t used any to share and since forgotten. If it happens again, I’ll likely google it to deal with them.
Another beautiful video. I was cooking right along with you, enjoying the peaceful music. I feel the need to go out and buy some real plants now - thank you for the inspiration!
Hi Nikki loved your video so much as l always do. The way you changed your room looks very nice. I love house plants as well and l have a Fiddle Leaf Fig which was as big as yours and now is over 7ft tall. I've had to move it to our sunroom. The vases of flowers are very pretty. Thanks Nikki.❤
Rearranging is not something I do well. If I happen to arrange things just so, and I like the way things play together, I tend to let them freeze in time, and leave them alone till maybe Christmas, and then put them back the way they were when the Christmas things gets put away. Yikes! Same old "landscape" for months into years. Watching your video today has helped me to see how simple it is to move things around and still have a lovely landscape in the home. You have inspired me to become adventurous and shake things up, so to speak. Thank you.
Don’t you just love moving things around repeatedly, creating vignettes and then, it’s perfect?! My going back and forth, viewing, and changing things is what I call “accidental exercise “. Yes, I do rearrange that much! The simplicity creates such serenity, don’t you think?
Thank you, Nikki, for another beautiful video. I was looking for a video you did in the past. It was about dealing with loss and grief. Is it still posted on the channel? Thank you for all the thoughtful inspiration.
Hi Nikki. Just wondering how you are tackling the monthly zone cleaning with your new housekeeping schedule. Do you do it along with the separate room cleanings? Still loving watching your channel. God Bless 😍
This is something I work on every single day for each focus room instead of one space each week. I feel much happier with the upkeep for the entirety of the home when I break it down and focus my efforts early each day when I'm full of energy. It's all about what needs doing and I feel each home has its specific needs. For instance, my floors may need to be done once or twice a week or a certain space needs it more while someone living alone with no animals may need hers to be done every other week or....once a month even. No matter the need, each week every room will be reassessed for its needs on the given day.
Thankyou for your reply Nikki. It makes sense. I’m struggling at the moment to “get it all done” eg my daily quiet time, exercise, housekeeping and all the other demands on my time. I’m in my 59’s and still have teenagers at home, older parents needing extra extra help, and my energy levels are low due to being overweight. Any suggestions. I know you get up early and that must help.
If you figure out the family pictures situation, please share! Because that’s something I’ve always struggle with and I don’t want to not have them out either.

You need a rug to unify the room!
I appreciate your enthusiasm for rugs however our dogs would do their business on them. No rugs for us!

Wait, your mom moved? I thought she was staying in the tiny house permanently.
My mom doesn’t stay anywhere permanently. She frequents Lake Havasu so she has a place there now as well with one of my sisters.
Why did your Mum move?
It was so nice for you to go for walks, and early morning coffes?
