So if they could find out those numbers, all they would need to do is track their movements. A question lingers regarding Barr’s legal jeopardy for his culpability in obstruction of Justice . The DOJ has a responsibility to uphold the law. Not disregard it because one of their own is a criminal.

This is supremely dumb. You would instantly open up EVERY Attorney General for prosecution. I really don't understand think that people understand that we don't take laws off of the books. We have laws still on the books from the 18 century. They obviously have no validity now, but it is up to the discretion of the DOJ whether to press charges or not. We do not even have a system setup to deal with the crime we currently face. We don't even have the space to house the amount of female prisoners we would have if they got arrested and charged when they broke the law.

I agree. My new trigger word is "recusal." Like anyone in the US legal system is really going to recuse themselves from a case they have personal conflicts in? There needs to be oversight and someone else with the power to yank legal people off of a case if they have a personal conflict, NOT leaving it up to any individual's sense of morality and ethics to "do the right thing". Because when big money and power are on the line, they seldom if ever choose to do the right thing. We need to stop playing legal defense trying to go after corrupted officials after the fact, and put systems and laws into place with oversight and full public transparency that forces officials to do the right thing BEFORE corruption happens.

I don't think the president alone can release billions of dollars. It takes Congress to do that. However, looking into how those billions got voted on by Congress might be interesting.

That's all well and good, but you can't just start an investigation without a potential crime that you are looking into. And it appears at the moment that the crimes that this normally looks and smells like, bribery and federal campaign violations, are barred by having passed the statute of limitations. If that is the case, a prosecutor needs to know whether there is some other avenue to finding a crime that can be charged. Meanwhile, the Senate can proceed down its own path that is more of a fact-finding mission to get these clowns on the record and pinned down.
Where is Hollywood when you need them? How about a 'fictional' story about the most corrupted person ever to run for president? Corporate ownership of Hollywood has made them cowards.
One thing I'd like to hear about is how Egypt benefited afterwards. I'm honestly asking because I don't know, but it seems to me Egypt wouldn't do this out of the goodness of their collective hearts, and would instead expect something in return. Discovering how Egypt might have benefited would make the case for corruption even stronger.
