- If you want a top tier great shield very early on in Elden Ring then the Manor Towershield is the best one to use. This video shows exactly how to get it and why you'd want to use this. It actually trivializes most of the game and makes it almost too easy. This shield is available shortly after defeating Margit and is available to new players if they know where to look. It's easy to get to and doesn't require any skill or hard inputs to reach. This is by far one of the best early game shields you can use, so make sure to pick this up if you like using shields in Elden Ring.

5:09 turns out you *can* go more to the right and I ended up in a dead end room, butt naked with the ONE person I specifically didn't want to aggro, and a knife wielding bird. Night ruined, my fault. I'll find this fucking shield tomorrow.

Been leveling my character to use this shield. I love the tower shields in Elden Ring. Perfect for physical absorbtion, and with an incantation (or weapon ability, cant remember) you can nullify all non-physical attacks for a certain amount of time.
Physical attack nullification + element nullification = uber shield.
AOE attacks still aren't blocked.... sorta. You take some damage, but a lot less
In Dark Souls 1 I made a build with a towershield with 95% dmg reduction and miracle karmic justice, it was cool to use.
hmm, I've got the shiled but now I need another 10 strength to use it. Considering I have already levelled up on the dragon and Night cavalry method somewhat is not working for me at the moment. The only option seems to fight Godrick and level up afterwards...

What shield was better? Was it the Guilded Greatshield? I just got one off the boss of the first military camp you run into.

The shield in the video is better, I think. I can check my character to verify, but I'm pretty sure the one in this video has better elemental resistance and damage.

Hey man, have you thought about Diablo Immortal at all? I don't think you'd be too late to the party having missed alpha/closed beta.
Like most MMORPG's these days there will be some large P2W advantages in this game, but that's what I think will end up working out perfectly for you - hear me out. While the whales will go deep pockets day 1, your appeal will be perfect to 99.9% of the playerbase who want to play competitively but aren't breaking the bank. You'll be catching the game at launch, with tens if not hundreds of thousands of people looking to maximize whatever advantages they can get without paying to win. Your style is all about min/max'ing, carving out the perfect and optimal efficiency for everything, and finding ways without paying. There is a massive opportunity for you here bro... Anyway just curious if you'd given it some thought, it's mobile but will be cross-platform on PC as well (beta to start - but all progress is maintained from PC when that goes live).
If it comes to PC, then yeah maybe, but I thought it was a cell phone only game.
@@SwoleBenji When they announced the launch date for mobile, they also announced the beta launch on PC (cross-platform to the same servers) for that same day. And once the PC beta goes live, your progress will actually be saved into the live servers instead of getting wiped. So you'd actually be capturing a further audience, the ones who want to get into Diablo Immortal but can't stand mobile - and will be going PC. Due to the PC announcement it will actually be taking most of the D3 players out of that game I think, because DI apparently has more depth. Anyway worth some research and thought for you, since I know MMO's are your bread and butter. Just lookin out for my homie
Nah it's definitely Brass Shield
Brass Shield has way less guard boost meaning you take significantly more stamina damage from blocks.
@@SwoleBenji The trick is to grab barricade shield from the knights cavalry for the brass shield. Yea they nerfed it hard.. but it still is very respectable early game blocking power. Especially comboed with something like the lance
@@Am4t3r4su just shift from Brass Shield to Manor TowerShield, if you are gonna spend on Strength anyways
@@chronoshindou9848 True. But if you aren't, then barricade shield + brass is very respectable to escape limgrave pretty easily as most enemies in the area are all physical damage dominant.
Manor Tower shield is also behind a boss while brass shield isn't. So before that is available, this is a good combo.
@@Am4t3r4su yeah but am not saying to stop using Brass Shield though, just simply shift to Manor Shield or any similar shield when you have the Strength for it, Greatshields give bonus repel + more Guard Boost too so I don't see any point to using Brass Shield if you have the Strength for a Greatshield unless you are fat rolling with one
EDIT: Barricade Shield also costs FP and isn't free, so for a pure Melee build, it really isn't a sustainable option in the long run to keep using Barricade Shield with Brass Shield
