    So stupid all these stupid rules, higher tax rates for Special Needs Trusts. This trust you mentioned you have be receiving Social Security disability; I choose to work. I am in HUD Section 811 program which does not have the $100,000 asset limit like Section 8. When I received a $325,000 inheritance I choice to have the assets in my name.

      You can buy tax free muni bonds and you will not get taxed

      @@waynecmontgomery actually when Social Security does the calculation on income tax on your Social Security benefits municipal bond interest is counted in the calculation. Distributions from from a Roth IRA and Roth 401k are not calculated in taxing your Social Security benefits. I'm not sure regarding distributions from trusts or ABLE account are counted in the taxation of Social Security; since I have neither I haven't done the research on that yet.
