    Super helpful thank you. Just picked up a new MX6000 and this will save me from taking it back in at 50 hrs.

    Thanks much. Video was easy to follow with good camera work. The drawings in the manual are sketches and not crystal clear, leaving lots of room for head scratching. Your video was clear and concise. I have a MX4800 and it seems identical regarding location of all drain plugs and filters. Thanks again ++++++

    Great info and part numbers. Just a note @ 11:42 of the video you can see a recessed 3/8 allen head plug in front of transmission you can remove it and drain from there as well to try and get as much old oil out as possible. Stay safe, and God bless

    Great info on part numbers, drain plug locations, and socket sizes. I’m at 50 hours. Thanks for doing this video.

    Really good video!!! Thanks a bunch!. MX6000 is my first tractor and I LOVE this thing, but I was on the fence about doing this service myself or having it done. Im ordering the parts and doing it for sure now that I see whats entailed. Thanks again!!

      Glad it helped. I agree, MX6000 is the best tractor I've owned by far.

    It’s the wrong oil you need diesel oil not regular oil sir. Also Kubota oil is better for warranty

      15w40 or 10w30? Which one is best

      The warranty specifies which brand of oil to use? I’m not sure that really matters as long as it is the correct spec such as diesel specific blends.

    Good video, there's not much out there in TH-cam land about the mx6000.

    Ordered my MX6000 last September, still waiting for it. In the meantime I look forward to more of your mx6000 videos!

      I was wondering if you got yours yet. I haven't been on mine much lately...to many other projects.

      @@sunnyhillfarm Got the MX6000 a month or so ago and hit 50 hours so I watched your video again and then went out and started. Turns out my dipstick is on the right side. I do have the cab model but it seems odd that some have it on the left and some on the right.

      @@paultrevvett I'm happy you finally got you tractor!! The different engine design is interesting. I've owned 3 different models (L2850, L2501 and the MX6000) all had the same engine layout. Some parts were even the same dispit different engines and hp. I've messed with other L series that had same engine layout too. I'll need to go to the Kobota dealer and take a look around.

    I may have missed it but did you completely change the hydraulic fluid on the 50 hour maintenance? The guide says only replace the filters. Can you comment on your thought process and decision here? Did you put the old fluid back in? Apologies if I missed it.

    • @sunnyhillfarm
      @sunnyhillfarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, only need to do the filters. I did it for two reasons. I like to get all the new manufacturing metal shavings out and just to have a complete video.

      Thanks!
      The volume of oil was 7.4 quarts
      What was the volume of hydraulic fluid needed to refill?

    • @sunnyhillfarm
      @sunnyhillfarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markbeckman5822 Sorry, I can't remember. I'm thinking it took around 7 gallons to fill it back up.

    • @kevincielski5597
      @kevincielski5597 ปีที่แล้ว

      You DO NOT need to change these fluids (HST and Hydraulic). It really is a waste of money and time at the 50 hour service.

    thanks for sharing, good info! what was your cost for all the filters and fluids?

    • @sunnyhillfarm
      @sunnyhillfarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Over $400. I had a lot of hydro fluid left over, all the lines and front loader retain a lot. So next change will be cheaper.
