Always loved the look of this one and seeing the action and a more detailed explanation of the blade geometry I definitely will be adding this to the wish list a great review
This blade shape is not like their others. I dig this knife and I was thinking about getting one. Glad I went back in your videos and found this on it.
I don't understand why for the price of the Smock and many other Spyderco knives they can't give their devoted buyers solid C/F, maybe the devoted part is the problem. Spyderco did so with the Kapara and look what a success it became and I understand it is contoured scales but still think it adds a lot of value to the knife.
There’s no reason for this whole concept of laminated G10 and carbon fiber to eve exist. I’d rather one or the other, never the combination in my opinion.
I've sharpened mine up a few times. It gets real thick behind the edge real fast. Ergos are amazing on it but it doesn't seem as good for long cuts as I would like it to be.
just purchased the smock! I already fell in love with it and I havnt even gotten it yet 🤣 but you already know I had to watch a neeves knives review on it! specifically searched Spyderc Smock Neeves Knives review lol.
I’ve been looking for a good work knife & ordered one of these. Hopefully it works out. Need something that can be easily deployed, used, & put away. A little pricey for a work knife but it should last me a while
@@AlCapwnd-tb5ow I would not. It’s not a bad knife per se, but it’s not as good as people make it out to be. Not very comfortable to use & over priced imo
Bruh you're costing me about $600 to $1000 this week with your videos lol (love the channel btw) I'm buying this Spyderco right now & you got me hooked on TwoSun Knives, been bidding on eBay all week 🤣🤣
Yeah I know! 😆 I'm dealing with it ok! It's a problem but atleast I can admit that. thischannelisnotresponsibleforanydivorcesbankrupciesorhungerproblems 😆🤣
I love my smock fidget factor is a 10 ergonomic lil short if I'm gonna be using a knife a lot I usually grab something else but pimping around on weekend in my pocket alot
Ok ok I know what you mean, im late to the party, and I really wanted it and then finally when it dropped I had already bought other things, and then it was everywhere, and I was over it to, but now after getting a great deal on 2nd market, sometimes it pays to be really late to the game
Unfortunately, in Poland it is nowhere to be found and they probably do not produce this model anymore. I regret that I did not manage to buy it because it is almost perfect for me. a larger selection of steel would be useful and a more useful part for choking
Neeves Knives you could. I hope to see videos on my zt’s after I send them. You can even use them both and do a versus type video or whatever you want. I like my smock but I absolutely love my zt’s. You can put an edge on them use them and put a fresh edge back on them before sending them if you would like.

Just can't get interested in this knife....The lanyard hole, why? Replace the clip? Remove the détent ball? Put better scales on it? Plus the guy that designed the knife has a bad rapp....... NAH..... This must be for severe Spyderco addicts only. Thanks for all the interesting sharpening info, tho...
With everything just the way it is its a really great knife but hey if its not for you its not, I dont know the bad rapp that you speak of, but if you like spyderco that most of the things like clip and lanyard are just typical and are easy to overlook and many people like to customize their knives anyway, and the detent ball is great the way it is and doesnt need to be done but if you like to take apart your knives anyways than its something you can do if you wanted. Theres many knives that have parts on them that can be modified if you wish, but I understand why it might be something that can seem like its a little high maintenance.
The Smock is one of my all time favorite knives. Excellent review of an awesome knife!
Its definitely a winner and one of my top Spydercos now
Always loved the look of this one and seeing the action and a more detailed explanation of the blade geometry I definitely will be adding this to the wish list a great review
Definitely a great knife and Ive been carrying it a lot because it just has such a great blade shape and grind for edc

Yeah it's definitely different from SPYDERCO
What knife was at 0:28?
Buying a Smock now. Thanks!
I purchased a Smock. Pulled out my rotary tool, put 3 small gimps on the flipper tab. NOW, it's worth what it costs.
Looks like I'm buying the Smock.
Another affiliate win for neevesknives! Great review.

The Micarta scales and clip are the standard upgrades!

Your gonna love
I replace the standard scales with Campass cut tataium. Strong and feels great. Also removed the second ball stop.
I want one! Both look very nice. Good review.
Where did you get the micarta shaman scales...and the smock scales
Rcblade works

Hey man which would you recommend more… Smock or Yojimbo?
Both are great, but probably the smock then yoji, unless a wharny is more useful in your edc.

For EDC its definitely a winner
The only thing that I don't like about the Smock is that I bought 2 of them. Regular and the Knifejoy exclusive. Very pocket friendly.
😆 one to many, you could always sell one but then which one
@@NeevesKnives - definitely keeping the 20CV one.
I love the Smock. One of my favorite SpyderCo knives. In the top 3 anyway. The YoJumbo and PM2 CruCarta are above it
ALL 3 ARE GREAT
Like the one without the hideous 3 holes in the handle.
The late release ruined it for me. By the time it came out, I was over it.

@@TannerVarrasse yes, they are available now, I know. But when I was writing this comment, they were gone for a while
@Michal Palmowski I would definitely recommend it! such a well built knife. quickly became one of my favorites
I want one of these so bad. It and the ikuchi are the best things spyderco has made in years for me.
Yeah theres only really a few that really peak my interest also
Nice job.
Exactly why I like the choil. I don’t have fat fingers so it works perfectly.

I would totally do a video on them I don't have a vid on those models yet so it would be awesome to get them on thank you
Thanks
Man I would like to have one of those
Only thing I dislike is how many adds played during this video.
Sorry not all the vids are like that most i try to put them where i want them, TH-cam did that not me
Would you trade a smock for a proper
No i wouldnt Im not a huge slippy person though
But I do know someone that is selling that micarta version from this video
I feel like I need one of these to mod but I 100% do not need this knife , lol
At $186, I was disappointed to see that it was made in Taiwan when I got it.
Well Taiwan prices are similar to us and we are allies
@@NeevesKnives Taiwan makes great knives. On par with, and sometimes better than, US.
Am I the only person that doesn’t sharpen his own knives? Damn I need to learn! I don’t trust myself not to screw up my blade! 🔪💕
No plenty of people do not, and that's why they pay me to do it lol but it's definitely good to learn, or get a simple system that can help
