What new gear are you trying this year? 🤔
Im adding a river fishing rig. Either a Shoalie, Tarpon 120, or Pescador pro. Can't wait, ive really enjoyed paddling lately. Didnt see that coming! Cashion has a new Ultra Light BFS rod im grabbing, and lastly the Guardian Angel kayak kit with remote. Been wanting the GA for awhile but had other priorities.
It’s Nasci (pronounced Noski) and I’m trying this one out this season.
Thanks!
Hand made outrigger/transportation dolly swing arm. Small sonar on a kayak.... Just trying to mod out my kayak before buying a couple new ones, and a kayak trailer...
A bunch: Nucanoe Unlimited, NK180pro for one (big upgrade from pedals)
No more sore leg days for you guys anymore 😂. Glad to hear that you went with the TitanX. Trust me you’re gonna love it Jeff
Have my Titan X for about 5 months now and I’m loving it!
Someone is excited about his new Kayak! Looking forward to seeing this in the water!
been using power queen for almost two years. never any issues. all day on an Xi 2 hour recharge with 15amp charger.
"in 3 to 4 weeks"
UPS has left the chat
Newport 300 is legit. Just make sure you are ruddered straight and dont gun it on take off. that baby can throw you. I love my 300
Wow! A ton of great products! Looking forward to all the content!
I love my humminbird units and the the mega live has been improving with the updates. I’m not going to pretend it’s as good as livescope but it works.
🤙🏼
Ok I will pay attention to your channel. You will be working on everything that will be a new kayak project for me in the future. Thanks. To honest I was puzzled by your kayak choices that you did earlier in the year
Hobie was unreliable, so we ditched those. I did the old town to have something different for quick stealth trips. Been trying to get the Titan x since last year, it’s just been a process…
Sun Dolphin 12.3 ft. Boss 12 Sit-on-Top Fishing kayak I am just asking I am a poor guy great information on the battery's and electronics
Lithium charging guide.
100ah will take 10 hours to charge with a 10amp charger.
Same 100ah take 5 hours to charge with a 20a charger.
Simply take the amp hours of your battery and divide it by how many amps your lithium charger is rated for, and that's how long you'll have to wait for a full charge.
I just went to Bait Finesse Empire to order the net because that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for but they are all out of stock. Hopefully they will restock soon. Great video can’t wait to see the kayak all geared up!!
Can the 9 foot be adjusted to different lengths?
OK, I might be wrong. But I thought I heard or read that you should always use separate batteries for your trolling motor and sonar units. Something to due with interference. Looking forward to seeing all this stuff in action.
This is probably right, and we will figure it out before we build
I’m looking into the Hammerhead whale shark. It’s a big yak for big boys and the price is phenomenal and its peddle driven
Great Videos. When is the Bixpy on a kayak video coming out? Thinking about getting one for this season and would like to hear your thoughts.
We will be fishing with it this weekend and posting a review in about a week
I've been using that power queen mini in my autopilot 120. So far so good !
Nice!
Paul if you’re looking for underwear storage for the sportsman pdl, those yak attack trakpaks fit perfectly under your seat. I keep a spare one under my seat for miscellaneous gear and lures I’ve used for the day on one side. And the buzbee breeze holding my softbaits on the other side.
Rad!
Have a titan X in route, (sold my native slayer max 10) looking forward to seeing how you guys set yours up
🙌
I’m a little southwest of Detroit. Is there a dealer in decent driving distance where I can check out the native slayer 10 that you know of (or other kayaks as well)? I just sold my old kayak and am getting a pedal drive but want to stay away from the Dunhams and Dicks models which are the local options. Great vid. Thanks.
Waterdog outfitters in whitehall
Have you guys tried the bonafide P127 and a slayer 12.5 max? Trying to decide between the two. I know most people would say it depends but I want your opinion lol.
We have tested the bonafide p127. It’s decent. You could probably get a used slayer max for a decent price!
Great video for kayak users😂 bank fisherman left holding their rods…
Can’t please everyone in every video 🤷♂️
😅
What's a good budget friendly scope for a smaller kayak?
Like downscan and side image? Or Livescope? Livesope is really never budget friendly unfortunately. However, for standard sonar, the Garmin Echomaps are great, or even the Lowrance Hook reveal or new eagles are solid.
Are you guys going to show the install of your new gear?
Yes, once we get it all in
unable to find that live scope pole from navarre fishing as you guys stated? is it possible its from another company?
definitely Navarre, we may have jumped the gun on it. He might be working on bringing it to market.
I know yakgadget just released his.
I got a question are y’all still going to be using the sportsman kayaks to fish out of this year if so what are yall going to be using it for ??
Absolutely! Paul will use the pdl 106 a ton. Ill use the bigwater as my throw and go with no sonar.
Ok that will be fun to watch been thinking of buying a kayak kinda being watching a few kayak anglers in different boats trying to see what one I would like to purchase at some point
I'm tempted to get the Titan X, but, being 6'3", 250-260, I don't want to have wet feet, and natives are/were NOTORIOUS for a wet cockpit. If my local Native dealer has a demo available, I'll definitely test it out and give it the chance it deserves, but, the wet/submerged cockpit kind of holds me back from blindly pulling the trigger
I guess we will see. Im used to being old town wet lol
I have a slayer max 12.5 and I have no problems. Granted I’m only 5’10 195 but I absolutely load my kayak out. 200+ lb of gear plus myself. The only time I get water in my kayak is if I pull the scupper plugs. If I keep my plugs in and don’t step in the water when launching my kayak there won’t be a drop in the deck at the end of the day!
Get a 2021+ model. They fixed the water problem by raising the hull 1 1/2 inch
So..... Paul_J_Glass has a smaller one than @Burly, Gotcha 😂😂
Ouch 😂
Dam....
What was the rod and reel in the Rod caddy?
Kast king kestrel ultralight rod and okuma ceymar
Do you have a link to the Navarre Livescope mount?
We don't because it was a prototype... our bad!
What is the link for the FFC carbon transducer arm?
apparently we jumped the gun and it is a prototype Navarre will add to stock in the future
@@aaanglers Thanks. I was looking and was going to order before I even got my Garmin FFS transducer and blackbox. I'll keep looking.
Wait, are yall using left hand baitcasters or is the video mirror imaged?
Been lefty my whole life
@@aaanglers I refused to use bait casters until I found a butt load for cheap at dicks. I'm ambidextrous and right dominant. But I only feel comfortable reeling lefty. It's a pain in the ass finding left handed baitcaster reviews. My mach 2 lefty reels like garbage, the righty was so smooth....
@@aaanglers I cast like crap with my lady hand too... LoL but I'm better at tennis, ping pong, bowling and batting lefty....
Also cheaper batteries are made up of a cpl smaller cells instead of dakotas and millertimes solid 1 cell which is better for life of battery and amp hr ratings .... theres a guy on youtube who jus orders batteries and cuts em open
What’s the green hat that Paul is wearing in this video?
It's a hat from Crescent Kayaks
20 minutes into your “testing new bass fishing gear” video and all I’ve heard is kayak bs
K
You guys are testing stuff that most young folks can't afford, beginners aren't buyin, and old folks on SS can't afford. Building lake kayaks really isn't that interesting to the river guys. You get a big fat heavy kayak, load everything a bass boat has, then complain how bad you miss the adventure of trying new creeks and small rivers. Barge kayak builds are all over you tube. Anyway, thanks fellas.
Net looked cool. Everything else is out of my budget.
Did you really just come to complain about the one video where they test some medium price gear? Take a look around at the rest of their stuff and you’ll they have reviewed tons of budget friendly gear. There are plenty of channels that review $49 Walmart combos, but these guys actually review the gear that they fish, and whether it’s because they’re becoming better fisherman or because their channel has grown and allowed them to fish slightly more expensive gear, I’m happy for them either way. There’s a reason channels like Tactical Bassin’ start their gear reviews at $100, because it is rare to find anything that is quality enough to rise above the rest in that price range.
K
@@skidemn I watch all their videos and love them. This particular one had some nice gear and awesome reviews, but the gear is out of my league right now.
😂😂😂 go watch someone else then. It’s not that hard to figure out, use your brain 🧠
AWESOME! 👍
