You can also lower the wheel diameter and it will go 30mph -29mph

Wouldn't there be a speed limiter cable in the main control unit in the lower frame of the bike between the pedals. Could just disconnect one lead at a time untill you find the right one.

Hi. Thanks for sharing. I have a Big Dog, and already changed the speed (not too much cause Im fine with that) but I really need some improvement about the throttle. Maybe Im missing something? my throttle is not powerful at all, and it gives me problems when I'm at traffic lights cause bike is too heavy and sometimes difficult to start... could you please give me some advice to change the throttle first push? I'm not looking to drive only with a throttle, I just need a bit more power to get out of traffic lights sooner. Thanks.

Press “+”, “-” and “i” at the same time for 2 seconds. Then the display will be changed.
Press “-” and “i” at the same time for 2 seconds. Then the display will be changed again.
Enter the password 0510.
Press “i” to confirm your password. Then the display will be changed.
Press “i” again. Release the button until the display entered the speed setting page.
Press “+” or “-” to adjust your speed.
Switch the speed unit from mph to km/h.
Press “i” to confirm your setting.

After a week or so of arguing with what himiway call tech support, I finally got an answer about this. You have to buy a US controller.
They are on the EU website now, and I can confirm that after fitting one (easy job, ten minutes), my throttle now works properly and can be used to control the bike all the way up to full speed.
Off road only, of course! Got to pedal a bit on the roads or the police tell you off! 🙂
