Lovely to see all the locations, i had no idea there were so manly lakes and beautiful beaches around Blackpool. I hope they find the poor lost pelican soon.
Great video Stephen. I hope they'll find the pelican. For those of us who don't drive, the best way to go to Granny's Bay and Fairhaven Lake is, from Blackpool South Station to Ansdell and Fairhaven Station. Only 15 minutes on the train but only 1 train an hour. Xxx
You can see the Rossal Point Coastwatch Tower from Bispham with the naked eye. And yes I can see the Hoad Monument with my binoculars from Bispham. That light house on a hill fascinates me. Haven't been to the Coastwatch Tower yet but I must go xxx

What a fantastic video Stephen of all surroundings and your look for this poor young pelican. It really is touching my heart as a totally staunch animal and all wildlife lover, thinking about its movements and trying to survive to be honest. As much as it’s very important to find it, think a case of people like RSPB. Local wildlife hubs and further need an actual plan !!!!!!! There are zoologists and folk who fully understand the psychology of these beautiful creatures. Is it’s mother finished feeding it ? The dangerous outside world for it. Mither will be grieving probably too for it, even if more in the brood, its mannerism needs thinking bout in depth too. Try find it also, Just my thoughts, If anyone’s seen them animatronics on TV, Real wildlife of same species actually were curious and went up to it. There must be an answer, hope it’s safe well and not injured, a lot wildlife don’t trust us, well that’s a massive size. Godbless pelican, hope he or she is found and taken home to mum and its family. Look forwards to many more of your great videos Stephen. Xxx.

Thank you for this video .... I was not aware there was a pelican missing ..I live by a river with a lot of seagulls around ...I'm guessing it is unlikely the pelican would be here but I will keep a lookout and I hope he/she is found soon and reunited with his family
He landed in my garden and me and the missus eat him potatos oinions carrot bit of gravy i thought he tasted a bit gamey so i didn't have much but the dog liked it still got some in the freezer
St James park, London. not only whole, but also very much alive. the year was 2008. the squirrels there, however, are much beter behaved than the pigeons. I'm with the pelicans on that one! while you can go right up to a pigeon and pet it, you will get pecked. squirrels are so much better behaved. there was a woman who said she went out twice a day to give shelled nuts to the squirrels - and we witnessed the greatest 'food before feet' moment ever. one little furball was sat on the park railings. one nut was not enough, it wanted a second one. the woman handed it another nut, but while it was juggling two nuts, it was sliding downwards on the fencing and managed to get itself barely a hairsbreadth from the floor before it realised what was happening. and if the batteries in my camera had behaved, there would be video. there will never be a funnier moment than that. the herons that day, were all sat huddled together near the pond/lake acting innocent.
A bunch of different birds are chilling in a large group when Another type of bird comes out of nowhere. "sorry lads I've just arrived from europe!" says the bird, "Ukraine?" askes another. "Nah mate I'm a pelican"

The pelican was found 73 miles away in Knaresborough, Yorkshire on Wednesday and has now been returned to Blackpool zoo.
It was on the local tv, motorists have been warned to be careful, when approaching a pelican crossing 😅

It's a shame that the pelican has gone missing but there is probably more chance of finding leroy.

Poor thing by now has probably made a nice tasty exotic treat for the Eastern Euros.
They catch and eat anything, Ducks, Squirrels, Swans you name it.
I saw a pelican or a heron fly over my flat in Ely cambs, it look lost tbh, but doubt it. flew from Blackpool to Ely , hope it is found x

after nearly 2 weeks it will have adapted to feeding itself and will probably be a long way away if it hasn't fallen foul of a bird of prey
