Thank you Stephen. I love looking at the sea. Those poles remind me of an art work near Blackburn called The Singing Ringing Tree. Hollow steel poles made to look like a tree that make sounds when it's windy. (Very old people like me may also remember a Tale from Europe called the same name and a frozen pond) Anyway brilliant sea views, and excellent to see you looking and sounding so perky.

High Stephen down in Blackpool this weekend, i got sun burn today.
We where on the central pier
today . The rides are empty the cost of living crisis is definitely biting.
The prices on the rides need to be reduced .
Better with a couple of slice of cake than nothing at all.
Its a shame to see the place so empty on Glasgow fair weekend.

It was the weather what cancelled Tram Sunday at Fleetwood but thankfully Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours still ran a service yesterday.

Thanks for the recording, I really miss the wind and the sea wave action. What ever happened to the solarium pitch and putt golf? Not enough tourists? I used to play on it with my parents in the 1970's. The wind will always make you feel better Stephen, I always felt alive when the wind was bracing.

Theres nothing better to clear you head than fresh air 👍 ive seen the Big One not make it back when tested in high winds it tends to manage to make it as fsr as the back straight & stop there so the lads have to go & push the train of the top so it can make it back to the station 👍 its certainly windy enough to blow the crome off your bike 😂😂😂😂 take care hope your better soon 👍 😀
Those coastal point apartments are stunning however there are astronomical ground maintenance fees and council tax that come with them. Be better off with a house on the old pontins site for roughly the same money.
I'd rather have a house than an apartment. That way I don't have to squabble with anyone else about who cleans the windows, or how much it should cost.

I walked back from south pier to the Hilton at 2230 last night. It was very windy but by the time I got to ripley’s it was horizontal rain too, within 10 minutes I was soaked.

The hottest June ever they shouted about came from a close to a runway that three Typhoon aircraft had recently taxied and taken off from. The Met Office has been altering the CET record to make this period seem hotter than the past. Why did they feel they needed to alter it, there has maybe been no warming at all.

Blackpool has had a reputation for many years as a bit of a scuzzy place in general. In any other video, you can see why. Run
down & tatty round the edges. Property is cheap. Rated as one of the worst places in England to live. Sad.
One benefit of the windy weather is that my energy price for today which tracks the wholesale price is around 8p per kWh. Half of what it has been as of late.

Well, it was I who a week or so ago commented on the absence of trees in Blackpool so it was good to see some greenery in your video.
It's very striking how the St. Annes sand dunes almost magically appear at the Blackpool St. Annes border. Perhaps their presence had something to do with how the border was determined.
I'll do a video about the lack of trees soon Roy.

A question, in the middle to late sixties I lived in Morecambe and came down with friends for a night out in Blackpool. We always started the night with a fantastic meal at the Stuart Hotel. What happened to it and is it still standing. To this day they served the very best Dover Sole I have had since.
Stuart Hotel does ring a bell, but not sure where it is, or if it still exists.
It’s at the end of Clifton Drive overlooking The Big One. I used to be a Chef there in 1962 were Bruce Forsyth used to have a meal at the end of his show at the ABC Theatre. The T Bone Steak was his favourite and cost 21 shillings. And the motto was, “ if you could eat it again “ you got it on the house free. And he only did it once. Think it over faced him.
If coming to blackpool get the wind forecast tower and big one shut down
Take light wet weather gear too just in case
we are always open, except for when we are not
