**Note** The major issue with Suppressors is that their energy projectiles are velocity based, not hit-scan. Therefore, you will almost never get TTK’s close to the ideal of 1.30 s, or 0.87 s for respective variants. Instead, your TTK’s will always be close to 2.0 s with Suppressor/Song of Peace, unless you are literally within 10 ft from your target. The only decent version is the Razor’s Edge and it suffers from the same issue - your TTK’s will be close to 1.5 s and rarely 1.30 s, or 0.87 s (hot start) If anyone thinks this Suppressor-piece of shit gun is ‘overpowered’ because it’s an ‘automatic’, the data shows the opposite - it sucks. REQ the Razor's Edge it's great, but the Suppressor/Song of Peace variants are ass (go for Storm Rifles, Fury instead).
Razors Edge is potentially the best level 3 req for firefight, high ammo, super combine, tracking projectiles that home in on weak points? Never underestimate this baby.
Ever since I started seriously playing Halo 5, I realized that both the Boltshot and the Suppressor were meant to destroy Knights and Soldiers, as well as engage in close quarters when you had to fire constantly. Hell, I used one not half an hour ago to kill a Legendary Knight Boss.
Love your videos man! They're concise and to the point. They also clear up any misconceptions or anecdotes surrounding the weapons and vehicles in halo.
TIL: The Song of Peace does not actually fire faster, but rather has an almost non-existent warm up time. A suppressor can be excellent for mopping up kills in a squad setting thanks to the auto-aim. Most importantly: There is actually a low-req Wasp killer, and it's name is Razor's Edge.
I think the Song of Peace is a great early req... if you play safe, you can rack up a decent amount of those vital early kills to get the snowball started...
I liked the halo 4 suppressor a lot more like most promethean weapons. They felt a lot more fun. For example the binary rifle it felt so powerful and alien. I loved that gun before H5.
They're using their own knowledge to build weapons. In their logic, weapons are designed to kill things effectively. So they built weapons that could kill effectively based on their own knowledge, including knowledge that they had the most of, which was themselves. This holds true for every faction, actually. Promethean weapons work well on them, Covenant weapons tend work effectively against Covenant, and UNSC weapons shred apart marines.
I think that all the complex moving parts of a prometheans gun are designed to be very difficult to wield by flood forms, so they didn’t really mind if the weapons might be good against them.
Aozolai Yeah, I guess. Or it's better suited to killing flood infection forms and other fast moving flood forms... Maybe? Actually, now that I think about it, it does make sense for the promethean's projectiles to move slow-ish. I doubt that 343 actually intended for it to be a lore reason tho. :'(
+Robo beaver I have no problem with the HCS removing AR's. It's what the pro community wanted. I have a major problem with the fact that 343i is thinking about possibly nerfing the AR to reintroduce it to HCS. Just because an AR has an advantage within 10 m vs semi-automatics like the Magnum, doesn't mean it should be nerfed (Magnum, BR have the advantage beyond 10 m). 343i should just keep the AR out of HCS or make an alternative "HCS AR" variant just like the Gunfighter Magnum - not screw over the decent AR.
Great video I love your analisis, wish you did one on the boltshot soon, also I've been wondering if you could do analisis for other Halos. but since there are no REQ variants in the other games you could do an anailisis of the weapon throughout the franchise.
Suggestion for a next video - rocket launchers/SPNKRs analysis. I'm especially curious how long the lock-on times are for the different rockets (the Basic RL seems to actually have a faster lock-on to air vehicles than some of the other ones... which would make a huge difference vs. evading banshees/phaetons if true), and their damage output vs. vehicles.
still i wondered why the razors edge has horrible inconsistent supercombines, even though it has insane range for a fully automatic weapon and doesn't lose as much accuracy as other autos. i've had kills with the razors edge were i shot 3/4ths a clip and didn't supercombine
sierra masterchief it u aim at them yes it homes in on the point where ur reticle is at the moment u shoot the shots, with an extra aim assist for weak spots

Aozolai
They're great against NPCs; especially against knights.
Aozolai Well, it's fun to see one piece of Razor's edge slowy fly... But I guess it's also good against vehicles and the Spartans accompanying them
MYNAMEISFROWNER 3:25 we know
Aozolai I like the halo 4 suppressor better
Halo 4 suppressor was even worse. That thing wouldnt hit targets even if you pressed the barrel of the gun right on the targets torso.

That Hannibal wasp got completely bodied ! Well done (^^)

Seanxprt S. i agree but when do we see sniper rifle analysis

your videos have made me a better player

I love the Razor’s Edge
1: Supercombine Effect
2: The colors especially when the white effect glows while your shooting.
3: Mid-Long Range Weapon
im glad you showed the Razors Edge effectiveness against vehicles. not many people know about it, and for a low req cost it can be a lifesaver!
Why would prometheans build a weapon that could kill themselves
The suppressor was used in a certain forerunner civil war, before the flood.
They're using their own knowledge to build weapons. In their logic, weapons are designed to kill things effectively. So they built weapons that could kill effectively based on their own knowledge, including knowledge that they had the most of, which was themselves.

why do human make gun when they can kill themselves with it. Bruh😂🤣
vl Sparrow lv That’s what people have been asking for hundreds of years, mate. Why the hell make something that can kill you. But we did it anyway 👌🏻
I think that all the complex moving parts of a prometheans gun are designed to be very difficult to wield by flood forms, so they didn’t really mind if the weapons might be good against them.
Thank you for doing this. It really helps me understand all these weapons and make the best decisions with them
I fucking love the razors edge. I will never hate it 👍
Same ;)
TheDeadlyVoid you'll always hate it?
If the suppressor fires 'hard light' why are the projectiles so slow?
Because Halo has a delusional phobia of automatics and if the projectiles were any faster you'd have people whining about overpowered automatics
Aozolai I am guessing you don't like the new hcs changes then.
Aozolai
Yeah, I guess. Or it's better suited to killing flood infection forms and other fast moving flood forms... Maybe?

They could introduce the Reach designed AR that way!
Such a great analysis/video! Keep up the good work bro💪💪💪

you play great men
This video made me want to use suppressors much more! Thanks :D
Love these vids man. Help me in war zone. Keep up the good work!
I never realized how good the Razor's Edge was until I used it in WZ Firefight earlier today.
The supreesors chills when it's zoomed in is the sameness when I hear my teacher say presentation or homework lol
Razor's edge ❤️
Remember back in Halo 4 when this thing was a fucking bullethose? Pepperidge Farms Remembers.

Razor's Edge is my go to for low Req's against Knights
razors edge is def 1 of my top 5
Great video

TruestAura you have to hit 6 times without missing a shot or the supercombie will get reset
So overall, which is the best weapon in Halo 5? Considering REQ cost, damage, speed, versatility (AI, spartans, vehicles), etc.
Concordeagle wiplash
Jorge's Chaingun
Halo CE pistol variant
The first two are around 9 shots per second, not 12. Keep up the good work!
I just plugged your name on B JAWS channel. :)
Prometheans made a gun What is effective against them
Just like covenant
Why are promethean weapons so underrated
JOHN-117 suppressors were terrible, bolt shots were too low dps but the light rifle was op!
Does Razors Edge shoot needles?
I take that back
I wish automatics were more powerful
Does it go for vehicle weakpoints?
sierra masterchief it u aim at them yes it homes in on the point where ur reticle is at the moment u shoot the shots, with an extra aim assist for weak spots
I can finally speak
The only thing suppressors are good at are slowing down the enemy if they spawn with it in super fiesta
And many thought that the halo 4 one was op
Razors Edge = Needler but with a slower ROF.
FIRST LIKE BOIS
la musica de fondo esta muy buena
Suppressors suck so much but they are one of the only two weapon commendations I have yet to finish. R.I.P me.
John Skora in fact they are the most underrated weapons in game
All magnums next ?
They changed razor's edge
Tbh i prefer the halo 4 varient by far
They took the worst gun in halo 4 and made it almost replace noob combo in campaign it is so much better than in halo 4.
+10000 :)
This is cool and all, but isn't this like a year and a half late for in depth analysis?
Not for players who joined late like I did.
intro song bro?
"Midnight In Tokyo" by BlueFoxMusic
Dad?
The suppressors in Halo 4 were better lol.
PolarSaurusRex's Son it is my favorite weapon in all of halo. That sound and the sheer amount of bullet hosing. People never expected it in slayer
13th here!
