    I’m not making a skull dog but this is still a good tutorial for anyone who’s using a skull base or a base where the face won’t be furred!

    Hi!! I am currently furring my first ever toony skull dog. And I have a couple questions 😅
    First, what type of stitching did you use?
    Second, how do you sew* pieces together that are already glued on?
    third, are there any tips you have for beginners?
    And fourth, for the inner area of the ears that was pink, is using fur or felt easier? For the fur for the insides of the ears, I sewed them to the rest of the ear. Do I glue it on separately to create that dimension?
    Tysm for this video, this makes me so excited to fur my skullie! And tysm if you answer the questions because every single one will help we tremendously ❤

      I use a blanket stitch to sew fur

    • @shadowcreations9
      @shadowcreations9  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Hi, i use the the blanket stitch to sow fur pieces, also to sow fur or fabric thats already glued down i use either a blanket stitch again but only with long fur as it hides it or a ladder stitch! For the inside pf the ears i recommend minky fabric or fur but that is up to you! Also what i do is glue on the i side of the ear first and the sow it to the rest of the fur around the ear.

      Just keep on practicing! Use some fabric scraps and sow them toghether in many different ways using different stiches! Same goes with the sowing machine, just keep on practicing with scrap materials

    Generally, how much fur would you recommend you purchase for a fully furred neck+hood+ears? I know it varies, but say for a solid colored hood+neck, (not my design, just as an example-) how many yards roughly would you recommend to buy? I wanna make sure I don’t buy too little, panic, and risk having that particular color be out of stock.
    Also, would you recommend sand papering the base before gluing more than cutting lines? Either works, I’d like like to know if one of them works better then the other.

    • @shadowcreations9
      @shadowcreations9  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know yards but if im furring a skully with one solid colour i usually go with 0,8m x 150cm ,so i can have a bit more left incase i made any mistakes. Sanding or cutting with a blade are both good options! I usually do cutting as sanding leaves a bit of a mess ^^

    Do you know how I can make magnetic eye lids and a magnetic hair tuft on my already made skull cat? The maker forgot about some stuff- maybe give her eyeliner like your skull suit has?

    • @shadowcreations9
      @shadowcreations9  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gosh hope its not too late to answer, you can hide magnets under the fur but youd need some strong earth magnets for that. Im not sure about magnetic eyelids, maybe put the magent behind the eye lid and eye mesh? My eyelids just stay in the skull and their not magnetic :)

    I might be making my own skull dog soon but I am wondering what you would do about attaching things like horns/antlers ontop of the head(not on the skull)is that possible or

    • @shadowcreations9
      @shadowcreations9  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends what material they are, if they are plush then it would be possible to sow them onto the fur but if plastic, or any other material, then gluing them down onto a piece of extra foam and covering with fur would work. Just experiment when you get your skull and see what is the best way to attach them!

    Will 1 yard of fur be enough to fur the whole hood thing? +the ears?

    • @shadowcreations9
      @shadowcreations9  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Im unsure about yards but around 150cm x 80-90cm of a solid colour would be a good amount! Youd have some left overs incase you make a mistake ^^
