The Tigh An Truish has a fascinating history behind its name, which is directly linked to the Jacobite uprising that culminated at the Battle of Culloden in 1746. One of life’s pleasures is enjoying a meal and a pint at the pub in the summer while sitting outside on the grass, watching the tide rise or fall.
That boat was beautiful you were being nosy at😊. 😂😂Dave trekking.🤔😂huffing and puffing with Dave, more like! Such a peaceful and beautiful spot. Thanks for the video. 😊
If you want to see a submarine, just hang about on the Clyde estuary round about Cloch point / Gare Loch. See them going in and out of Faslane pretty often. And not to be 'that person' (immediately making me 'that person'), but always nice I think to get local pronunciation right; It would be Kerr-err-ah and Pool-dor-ahn. Lovely video!
Amazing place so much more peaceful sailing than the crazy roads.

I know I really must work on my fitness. Huffing and puffing like a steam train on a small hill is really not good. 😊 Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Stunning spot we were there just a few weeks before with about 20 boats. It did get a bit tense when the wind blew up.
I bet it did. Hope no one’s anchor dragged? 🤞
Great video! Thanks for taking us along "trekking with Dave". The serenity at sunset was pure bliss!
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Peace and tranquility, love it .
Nice, you could have taken the dinghy round to the pub. Also you need an air fryer on the boat Dave 👍 easy chips then
I’ve thought about an air fryer, the problem is storing it as they’re quite big and my cupboards are small. Yeah I’ll dinghy round next time 👍
Excellent video. One of the best so far !
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙏 👍
Lovely scenery and great narrative, enjoyed it😊
Thank you. 👍
Great trip lovely scenery. Nice one Dave
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 👍
I’ve been looking and have a possible spot to berth near Oban but would also have a 6 hr drive from Saddleworth 😢
Many Thanks for a really enjoyable video. I'm never sure how to pronounce that anchorage but its a jewel.
Yep, I have no idea how you pronounce it either 🤣. Glad you enjoyed the video. 👍

Lovely video!
Thanks Doug. I’ll do my better with the pronunciation next time. 👍
Robin missed a lovely location this time. Beautiful anchorage!
He did, but Robin has some big news! All will be revealed in a future episode. 👍
Great video, although I have noticed that when it comes to Guinness, you have the breaking strain of a Kit Kat!
Afraid so. 🤣🤣
awesome video
Cheers Christopher 👍
Wow that is an incredible anchorage! I need to make the trek up to Scotland with my boat at some point, bit of a. Way from essex though 😂
Yeah that would be a bit of a trek. But it would be well worth the effort. ⛵️👍
Try Tayvallich bay! Best in the west….
Visited there last year, it is a lovely place…
