+LURKING SHADOWS hypothetically, the humans battling on the ground are Fire Emblem and/or Code Name: STEAM characters. Only The Fire Emblem Amiibo work in Code Name Steam for a reason.
I wish I played these games earlier. When I played awakening (my first FE game) against some of those historical characters in the outworld I had no idea there was a connection. It makes me want to know the backstory behind those older characters.
So how did you not know who marth was (theres 8 different marths in smash) marth, fire marth, buff marth, magic marth, girl magic marth, girl marth, dragon marth and girl dragon marth
+sokarash what sucks is that the very first fire emblem game is on 3ds virtual console but only in Japan and all we have on Wii u eshop is sacred stones but jfc I want the first 6 games to be localized like seriously Nintendo fire emblem is popular give us the first 6 games
Thats pretty funny Im looking forward to the mostly because I didnt really set expectations because I didnt know what to expect even though it was originally called SMT X FE what most people were expecting seemed too obvious I see elements of FE and SMT in Genei Ibun Roku #FE (thats a pain to type) but its more of a kingdom hearts thing where it became its own thing
Game Bros. I don't know why hate is being spread towards it, maybe because it was split into three games. I think it could've been like both paths in one game and you buy the third path for an additional 40 and maybe less hate but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Buying one version with 2 path and another one with the third path for an additional 40" would be 80, which is also the price of the three games combined because you can by the 2 other paths half price when you own one.
I love it! (Maybe just a bit less than Awakening cuz that was my first but...) I'm currently playing through Revelations right now! Many secrets revealed!
Fire emblem x Shin Megami Tensei isnt part of fire emblem series, because that is a spin-off crossover game like hyrule warriors(as zelda x dynasty warriors), right,no?
Ah, that contrast to Radiant Dawn's opening. I know I'm biased but RD will always be my favorite of the franchise, and I love the opening and cutscenes so much in that one even if they are short.
Watching the Sacred Stones opening really takes me back. It was my first Fire Emblem game ever. And the Awakening and Fates trailer also gave me the chills. Damn.
Natsumi Raimon path of radiance is thefirst game where the series jumped from pixel sprites to 3d character models. awakening mixed both and so is fates now.
Believe me, I've played my fair share of awakening, (100+), but I still believe that awakening holds a lot of quirks that sacred stones didn't have. Don't get me wrong, both games are phenomenal, but I still prefer awakening.
I just feel like pointing out, the Radiant Dawn opening shown here isn't the full one. More scenes involving Ike are added once you've reached part 3 of the game.
The Radiant Dawn one is easily the most exciting and intense, especially once you unlock the full version of it after beating the game, which this video doesn't show.
NE OC I'm talking about the person /people who made the video. The opening scene is ext3nded, with portraits of the greil mercinaries and two scenes with Ike. They were probably not there to prevent spoilers of the near-end of the story. Or the person didn't complete the game.
Lord Tullus 9 I know, but my comment was stating that I wouldn't have known if the intro of Radiant Dawn was missing something. I've got to see and compare now :/
I want to argue against, but I genuinely enjoyed the Tellius series far more than everything else. With Sacred Stones and Genealogy being the other two I really enjoyed.
I honestly have mixed feelings about the new FE. Fire Emblem has always felt like the closest video game I've seen to a simplified and interactive Game of Thrones/ASOIAF. It took place in a Medieval world with complex political alliances between a series of warring kingdoms, each with its own line of rule (and its own unique hair color). There was a limited use of magic, some ancient evil power, a strong use of drama and tragedy, a strong reliance on Medieval English history, and a couple of dragons to throw into the mix. Besides the use of teenagers as protagonists, and the oddly colored hair (both of which are in the Ice and Fire books), the use of anime cliches was pretty limited. The new game seems to introduce a new Japanese focus (or Weeaboo pandering), unrealistic and exaggerated hair styles, odd skin colors, random monsters, and black-and-white heroes and villains all of which seem to scream anime. But I am a HUGE fan of the FE series and I very much like the ability for customization and choices in the game, a feature the series always lacked so I'm still excited. I just hope FE remembers its history, and not just Awakening's sales.
Thanks! I feel pretty much the same way. I mean I'm happy on one hand that awakening did exactly as the name suggests, revitalizing the series and bringing new fans, but the things I hear about the new game give me the same nagging feeling you describe. I don't mind optional features like Casual Mode or even the new "phoenix mode" since they aren't forced upon us, but some of the other gameplay and stylistic choices seem to be heading in an odd direction. Supposedly they're bringing back the marriage and children feature and adding more fanservice like some of Awakening's DLC. At the very least I'll probably buy the Nohr version since it seems closer to the style and depth of older FE games. Maybe, if that version proves more popular, it will show the success of the traditional formula and bring back the sort of complex and interesting themes that Fire Emblem offers.
I bought a 3DS for Awakening too! No regrets. Still don't have a Wii U though. I'm pretty sure they said they're splitting the new game up into two games in the U.S. also unfortunately. I think from what they said, they made it seem like the Nohr version is more complex and deeper so I'm probably leaning towards that but I definitely also really hate how they might really split it up. I also heard that the children in the game are going to be explained by some kind of inter-dimensional travelling. Not really sure what that means, but it sounds a little weird. I think my favorite FE was probably Path of Radiance. It was kind of the perfect balance between a pretty good storyline and the quirky fun characters that are always in Fire Emblem. It never got really dark but it also wasn't about pies (not that I have anything against pies of course). Still I'm definitely going to buy the new game, despite the complaining. I think some of the features are still pretty cool and it looks like the storyline might be good. And you're right. They do have feet, so that's definitely a plus We'll see where Fire Emblem goes in the future, but I'm definitely still happy it's around. Awakening did bring it back to life, even if it's not exactly how we remember it and as long as it doesn't stray too much further, I'll still consider myself a fan.
Please don't ever call that a Shin Megami Tensei either! Even Atlus wanted it to have nothing related to SMT after Nintendo told them no on a actual Crossover. SMT has you fighting demons and gods with Dante from Devil May Cry playing a role in the third game.
it was fun, cringey in alot of ways, a stand alone game, good gameplay. Worth playing, and it has the fire emblem theme with lyrics, opera of the light. Yr still able to change classes, has a lord, pegasus knight, cavalier, mage, archer, knight and a swordmaster. Dont look at it as a fe game cause its totally different and brings dissapointment if u do.
I played Sacred Stones, Path To Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Awakening, and finally fates. My love for this game was sparked by Sacred Stones and has continued to the latest game today. Fire Emblem is love!!!
+Raylene Hernandez Same ahah that was my first fire emblem, after that I played sacred stone on GBA, path of radiance on Gamecube, Radian Dawn on the wii & awakening. FIRE EMBLEM IS LIFE!
You skipped out a lot though You missed: Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon Fire Emblem - Heroes of Light and Shadow Fire Emblem Thracia 776 You have WRONG footage: That is the Fire Emblem IF/Fate TRAILER,not Intro (18:30) This is also just a trailer (20:28)
he dont have sacred stones, and yes, it is the trailer, he should use the hoshido intro (birthright) then the nohr intro (birthright) then revalations (revalations)
Tenacious Twizz I know. I could've sworn that the game was out in Japan already by then (since Japan always seems to get games WAAAAAY before the west)....
Can someone please tell me the chronological order of each fe game I understand some arent connected but in the awakening dlc in fates it says hoshido and nohr are a myth so are they also connected somehow
THEY jump from Universe to universe but ill try timeline1: FE4/5 (Technically and FE5 takes place during FE4), FE1/11(11 is a Remake), FE2, FE3/12(12 is also a remake),FE13. Timeline2: FE7,FE6(7 takes place 20 years prior) Timeline 3: FE9,FE10(10 is 3 years later) Miscellaneous:FE8,FE14.
PokemonSoldiers I'd like to see it, but I think it should take place years into the future (basically, after Ike and everyone else in the older games died of old age).
Many connect to each other, but they are not all connected. It is dependent on what region the game takes place. Fe 1, 2, 3, 9, 12, and 13 all take place in the same universe. Fe 4 and 5 are part of the same universe. Fe 6 and 7 are of the same universe. Fe 8 is independent. Fe 10 and 11 are from the same universe.
Alan Jeria No problem. Keep in mind that the Fire Emblem is always a plot point in these games, but the Fire Emblem itself changes from each arc. In some games its an object for a ceremony, and in others its a weapon, etc.
I played FE: Awakening and loved it but since this is the first game I've played from the franchise, I have this paranoia that no game will best Awakening. What game would you recommend?
+Hailian Dorado I would recommend you Fire Emblem for GBA (Blazing Sword) to be your next game. Awesome story, a lot of characters, hundreds of mods and rom hacks(if you want to mess around a bit xD). Then, once you get the hang of GBA fire emblems, then try the Sacred Stones also in the GBA. The extended classes of Sacred stones may be confusing if you are nos used to those desicions.
fire emblem fates will best awakening im on conquest and i like its similarities to previous traditional games. you have to think of every possibility and map out strategically. unlike awakening with endless grinding and rushing the enemy and Pairing UP IS OP. fates pairing up is balanced.
Fire emblem shadow Dragon is one of the worst Fire emblems To be honest in my opinion ... The best one for DS hás To be FE Heroes of light and shadow because its better and harder
I know nothing about FE but I want to get into it, I want to know ikes, marths, roy and lucinas story. Which games should I play and which should I start with
Marth's Games are: Fire Emblem 1: Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light Fire Emblem 3: Mystery of the Emblem, a remake of 1, but also has its own game called Book 2. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon: Another remake of Fire Emblem 1. Fire Emblem 12: New Mystery of the Emblem Hero's of Light and Shadow, a remake of Book 2 from Mystery of the Emblem.
As for game you should start with, if you want to have an easy first time, then Play Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. It's an easy way to get into the series. If you want to know how Fire Emblem got into the west, then play the first Fire Emblem game that came to the west, Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Sword (it's also called JUST Fire Emblem).
+Tizi I know this comment is a little old, but FE3 Mystery of the Emblem is also one of the best, and is my personal favorite with regards to lore and storytelling.
Shera Wizard don't worry it's Better and have similar story, most audience came with the 7 th game The 13 th arguably ruined the game And more similarities, just can't name them off my head
I'd like to assume that you're talking about Final Fantasy, in that regard I've been playing FF from the first game and I sorta stopped with 12 because I didn't have the console for 13. FF isn't my favorite franchise but even I have heard as much about 13. 15 is doing pretty good tho If you aren't talking about FF... I'm so sorry I haven't played Awakening yet (FE13) so i can't say xD
My rankings on Fire Emblem games 15. Dark Dragon and Sword of Light 14: Shadow Dragons 13: Awakening 12: FE Fates: Birthright 11: Radiant Dawn 10: Mystery of the Emblem 9: New Mystery of the Emblem 8: Gaiden 7: Path of Radiance 6: Blazing Sword 5: FE Fates: Conquest 4: Sacred Stones 3: Thracia 776 2: Binding Blade 1: Genealogy of the Holy War
Hot, Tbh Conquest just torches Birthright in map design and difficulty. There was only a handful of maps that I liked in Birthright, even if Conquest's story is trash.
My favorites will always be Fire Emblem 2002, 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 on GBA. Through them, I just discovered as a kid one of the greatest game series of all time. And nothing will replace them, even tough Fire Emblem Fates is perhaps more similar to them if compared to the other editions released afterwards.
I know that 11 and 12 are remakes, but... Their openings are different from the others. Sure, 12's just a solo trumpet in the beginning, but it's pretty cool, y'know? So, why are their trailers included, but not the official openings for 11 and 12?
Honestly so much hate torwards Fire Emblem Tokyo Mirage, i know its different, but it's actually still a fun game with a more modern twist and differences, like i enjoyed playing it and listening to the catchy songs and it still had Fire emblem elements in it too so yeah
princereyson I like The Shadow Dragón Remake for the DS and the Fire Emblem New Mystery of the Emblem Heroes of Light and Shadow that was my favorite Fire Emblem when i was a kid
While more serious in general, they weren't devoid of humour. A good example would be Sylvia proving to Sigurd she's not a little girl... ahem. But regardless, none of the previous games can match how over-the-top silly Awakening's dialogue can be... Like, my god...
+Ocsttiac FE4... plot points include half sibling incest and such. not sure why such topics would antagonize people. also rating is CERO A or the equivilant of ESRB E.
TheBraveGallade Maybe because the incest was portrayed as demonic and a big no no? Also, back then (and maybe even now) such themes in Japan are sorta common.
Ocsttiac Aand this is the reason I don't really like religion. Stuff needs to change with the times, and religion REALLY hates change. Also love is love whatever you say... although I do encourage incestious couples closer than second cousins to GET GENETIC SCREENING.
I'm sorry, but the last one *is* Fire Emblem, right? RIGHT?! BECAUSE IT JUST LOOKS LIKE AN INTRO TO A WEIRD ANIME OR SOMETHING I'M SORRY *edit* Alright, so I've been looking at Fire Emblem games lately. The game's called Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and it's apparently a crossover Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem, which makes sense I guess...
Its not Fire Emblem game, the gameplay is turn-strategy-game with the weapon-triangle from Fire Emblem but a bit different, you can do chains called "sessions" between characters.
No, it shouldn't be. It's like saying that Smash Bros. intros from Melee onwards should be included simply because many FE characters were in those games.
Played since awakening and I am TOO hyped for the new one, the gimmick on choices in the game seems real and gives it some replay value to choose the opposite choice you made which is cool
Okay the series main theme, the only track to appear in every FE game I think, the Awakening version of that right? Does ANYONE know where I can find a track of JUST that?
Luka Megurine What do you mean too anime generic? The artstyle isn't even close to the considered generic anime look. Even so, I'm assuming something like this would satisfy you? URL's satoshikura.deviantart.com/art/Robin-GBA-Fire-Emblem-Portrait-489653129
Luka Megurine The artstyle in Awakening and If isn't any different than any of the others throughout the series. Fire Emblem has *always* looked "anime" because that's just the artstyle people in Japan and Asia use...just like how American or Western cartoons often have very similar styles. Awakening didn't change how the series looked, of course things will look rather different translating from 2D to 3D, but the style is still the same. Especially if you compare Awakening and If to the *other* two 3D games with fully animated cutscenes (Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn). Those two are the closest lookalikes to the newest two, but the overall style throughout the whole series has been uniform and had the "too anime generic and weeaboo" you're complaining about now.
8elementallords Awakening does look different from prior FE games. It looks similar to generic modern anime while previous games had a generic retro anime design, with the exception of Shadow Dragon, which was given a somewhat more unique look.
alby ron It all still looks like anime though, and it really *hasn't* changed in terms of how everything actually looks, the only difference is the specific anime style, and even the Gameboy or Tellius games are drawn in a different anime style from the first games. The only difference has been that the series has been drawn in the specific anime styles of the time that they've been released, Tellius, Awakening, and Fates are all drawn in a much more modern anime style because they're the modern games (and those three games are *also* the most similar in terms of how they look). Aside from the stylistic differences of the era they were drawn in, the actual style of Fire Emblem itself and sort of clothes and so forth that people wear in the series hasn't been changed with the newer games
gabe walker Actually there are some Fire Emblem characters that actually appear. They just don't look like them but they are. That dark guy that appears a little after the beginning is Chrom, the green haired girl is Tiki, that giant floating head was Gangrel, and there are some more elements. (Though I didn't see any Shin Megami Tensei characters ;_;
0:00 - Dark Dragon & Sword of Light
0:55 - Gaiden
1:26 - Mystery of the Emblem

Is Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light.
Also, where is Three Houses?
GamerX 09 crossover
Sebastian Boza it wasn’t out at the time of this video :>
@GamerX 09 I think is Tokyo Mirage Sessions: FE
if you dye your hair blue that means your a fire emblem character
Denzu Silvery did it.

I so desperately want a legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem cross over
That would be so awesome
Or Fire Emblem x Kid Icarus.
+Rebecca George Oh God. Yes. Palutena x FE chars
+LURKING SHADOWS hypothetically, the humans battling on the ground are Fire Emblem and/or Code Name: STEAM characters. Only The Fire Emblem Amiibo work in Code Name Steam for a reason.

marth, fire marth, buff marth, magic marth, girl magic marth, girl marth, dragon marth and girl dragon marth

just get the roms i got like 6 old fire emblem games because of that on my phone
Fire Emblem is Love, Fire Emblem is Life!
Weenie The Pooh YEEEEP
I didnt know Weenie the pooh likes FE
Radiant Dawn is easily my favorite intro the music is simply amazing and has fantastic build up
i really wish they'd re-release path of radiance and radiant dawn, like maybe in a hd collection disc
same. They're disgustingly expensive right now.
Unless you illegally pirate them of course.
markasscop Arev With good voice acting.
@@sizzle5775 They had better voice acting than all the other Fire Emblems. Especially Zelgius, Skrimir and Ranulf.
Radiant Dawn's is no doubt the best. It's amazing.
True, It is so underrated tho. It sold poorly because of bad advertising and now people never got to play one of the best/hardest Fire Emblem games.
The Guardian It sold over 500k. So it wasn't as good as they wanted but all in all, it wasn't bad either.
Jaekization so if
We follow your logic paper mario stiker star is better than TTYD because it sold better.
The Tellius duology (Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn)... So many good memories. Easily my favorite openings.
I wish the Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem would do a crossover...in my dreams doe i get it i get it
+Sorcerer Vaati64

R-right this way sir!
+Captain Falcon (Chris Gousse) ooohhh so tough!!
Lady Emblem Thats the secret to getting bitches
the last two were promos, not intros
***** You gotta make use of what you have. And in this case, those two promos/trailers are all we have.
***** Yeah and the very last one isn't even a FE game. It's some sort of weaboo garbage with the name "SMTxFE" slapped on it. Blasphemous.
***** WHATEVER NERD
FierceRagnar It's still Fire Emblem.
Leo Elfors I hope you're only talking about the second to last one..
I feel like the only newer Fire Emblem fan that didn't start off with Awakening.
FE7 was my first one.
don't worry you're not alone
Same
+that Pokemon Young Link from Final Fantasy LXIX No way, the first game released in the west was your first? Clearly you're the only one.
+that Pokemon Young Link from Final Fantasy LXIX Fire Emblem 4.
Get on my level kiddo.
my first FE was sacred stones
My friend refuses to call SMTxFE anything else but Fire Emblem JPOP.
I don't disagree with him.

+LaserJelly yes it was. It's essentially persona 6 now.

well fates is one of my favorites. But everyone is just so focused on Awakening, which by many (including myself) is considered the best FE game.
Fire emblem x Shin Megami Tensei isnt part of fire emblem series, because that is a spin-off crossover game like hyrule warriors(as zelda x dynasty warriors), right,no?
We don't actually know anything about the game we just got the teaser who knows it could be part of the Fire Emblem universe
it is a spin-off of both Fire Emblem in Shin Megami Tensei
+Alex Torres
Nope. Non-canon crossover.
ZobmieRules That's debatable due to SMT
Samir Malik
Crossover games are never canon though. Could you please explain why Shin Megami Tensei would be a different case?
Ah, that contrast to Radiant Dawn's opening. I know I'm biased but RD will always be my favorite of the franchise, and I love the opening and cutscenes so much in that one even if they are short.

aw look at all those low quality graphics and sprites. then we get to path of radiance and it's like HOLY FUCK WHAT HAPPENED
What do you mean? I'm sorry if I sound slow but I haven't played Path of Radiance.
Natsumi Raimon path of radiance is thefirst game where the series jumped from pixel sprites to 3d character models. awakening mixed both and so is fates now.
Jonathan Maki Gah. I thought that but asked to make sure I'm right! Thanks! :D
Natsumi Raimon np
path of radiance was fine, but radiant dawn was when it really looked like they actually had a production value in the series
Fire Emblem Sacred Stone= not enough love.
Jeremy Merino Ikr? That entry and Radiant Dawn are soooo underrated. Retarded Awakening fanboys don't know a good FE game when they see one.
AmericanBuizel Fr!!!! They need to play the older games cause honestly they're better than Awakening.
Sacred Stones and /7Rekka no Ken. So good, though Rekka does have a few annoying chapters, but, all FE's do, right?
Believe me, I've played my fair share of awakening, (100+), but I still believe that awakening holds a lot of quirks that sacred stones didn't have. Don't get me wrong, both games are phenomenal, but I still prefer awakening.

No Shadow Dragon or New Mystery of the Emblem: ~Heroes of Light and Shadow~?
I am dissapointed.
(Nice compilation. Aside from that I guess u.u)
I was wondering where shadow dragon was
NE OC Also, looks like someone did not finish radiant dawn. The intro is extended if you have completed the game once.
Lord Tullus 9 I don't know :C
I'm not the kind of guy who re-watches intros XD
NE OC I'm talking about the person

Did you skip shadow dragon and new mystery of the emblem on purpose? Or did you just forget about them.
On purpose, they're remakes.
ok so I don't missed it
I love Sacred Stones
Path of Radiance alone is why I wish the series kept its original art style. It felt like such a perfect blend of anime and Saturday-morning cartoon.
The radiant dawn one is expanded once the player reaches part 3.
Radiant Dawn master race
oh yes okay more like the Tellius Master Race and well the closest rival is the Jeudgral Race
I want to argue against, but I genuinely enjoyed the Tellius series far more than everything else. With Sacred Stones and Genealogy being the other two I really enjoyed.
Love the opening for Genealogy of the Holy War. Definitely one of my favorites in the series.
Best rpg series I have ever played!!!! Favorite one was radiant dawn. ❤️
RPGMaster Radiant Dawn got bad sales cause people can't get good
Ikr lol its not even that hard, well in my opinion.
Pizza Pie I know, but the problem is that there was a translation error where
Easy = Normal
Normal = Hard
Hard = Lunatic
13:00 That transition is so nostalgic! Gives me goosebumps every time.
IM SORRY BUT THE BEST INTRO IS FOR FIRE EMBLEM RADIANT DAWN..... FOR NOW... I LOVE THE NEW FIRE EMBLEM: "IF" THEME
Keldoren1 Well spoken :3
Monsters aren't new to the series. They were previously seen in FE 2 and 8.
You said just what I was thinking, man.
You forgot shadow dragon.
+Joshua Potter and the other remake :(
@@goldenlotus3598 new mystery of the emblem
Great Video, thank you for making this!
Everything was so intense and then the last one... omg please dont ever call that a fire emblem
ok yeah what was the ending???
I cry
oh god it's even in the thumbnail
9:30 was my first ever fire emblem- and I still don't know it's official name
its rekka no ken or in english blazing sword
+joe francis rementilla wow. Thanks man!
+Raylene Hernandez Same ahah that was my first fire emblem, after that I played sacred stone on GBA, path of radiance on Gamecube, Radian Dawn on the wii & awakening. FIRE EMBLEM IS LIFE!
Hope they translate these & bring them to the states. My only worry is that I KNOW they're gonna be BALLS HARD!!
You skipped out a lot though
You missed:
Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon
Fire Emblem - Heroes of Light and Shadow
Fire Emblem Thracia 776
You have WRONG footage:
That is the Fire Emblem IF/Fate TRAILER,not Intro (18:30)
This is also just a trailer (20:28)
Shadow Dragon is just a remake of a previous game, although it DOES have a different intro.
he dont have sacred stones, and yes, it is the trailer, he should use the hoshido intro (birthright) then the nohr intro (birthright) then revalations (revalations)
You realize that this was posted before Fates came out, right?
Tenacious Twizz I know.
I could've sworn that the game was out in Japan already by then (since Japan always seems to get games WAAAAAY before the west)....
*****
It came out in June 25th, 2015 in Japan, March 15th, 2016 in America, and it will be released in Europe on May 20th.
Can someone please tell me the chronological order of each fe game I understand some arent connected but in the awakening dlc in fates it says hoshido and nohr are a myth so are they also connected somehow
THEY jump from Universe to universe but ill try
timeline1: FE4/5 (Technically and FE5 takes place during FE4), FE1/11(11 is a Remake), FE2, FE3/12(12 is also a remake),FE13.
Timeline2: FE7,FE6(7 takes place 20 years prior)
Timeline 3: FE9,FE10(10 is 3 years later)
Miscellaneous:FE8,FE14.
Jacqueline Diaz it seems FE 14 is somehow related to the world Amarth came from
what would you guys say if there were a third game in the tellius series
I would say fuk yea if it had Ike in it and Edward and miciah and soothe and everyone!!!!!! So yea I want another telling fire emblem pls
PokemonSoldiers I'd like to see it, but I think it should take place years into the future (basically, after Ike and everyone else in the older games died of old age).
I'd be so hype Radiant Dawn is my favorite game followed by POR
ive been waiting for it for a while now :(
I would expect it to be bad story wise because everything is wrapped up. But playing as Ike again would be worth it.
2:12 sounded like final fantasy 6
why does fire emblem fates not have the fire emblem theme?!
Because it can never be as good as the originals #sorrynotsorry
only at the end credits
The actual opening does have the theme in it, at the part where it's showing the family of the path you choose
+Kaiyo-Chan That's not very nice...
+venomx99x Because Nintendo of America hates fire emblem and Japan violently
I'm not sure that last intro was for fire emblem
Are all the fire emblem games conected?
I'm new to the series ^^
Many connect to each other, but they are not all connected. It is dependent on what region the game takes place.
Fe 1, 2, 3, 9, 12, and 13 all take place in the same universe.
Fe 4 and 5 are part of the same universe.
Fe 6 and 7 are of the same universe.
Fe 8 is independent.
Fe 10 and 11 are from the same universe.
Oh, thank you very much to both of you!
Alan Jeria No problem. Keep in mind that the Fire Emblem is always a plot point in these games, but the Fire Emblem itself changes from each arc. In some games its an object for a ceremony, and in others its a weapon, etc.
Myst Paladin Thank you so much, I really want to get into this series, it looks like so much fun.
+Myst Paladin 9 (Path of Radiance) is connected with 10, not the Akaneia games.
This series still has the best opening theme I've ever heard.
Massive Spoilers in Thracia776's Intro.
That wasn't the intro to Fire Emblem Fates. That was a trailer.
I played FE: Awakening and loved it but since this is the first game I've played from the franchise, I have this paranoia that no game will best Awakening. What game would you recommend?
Fire emblem 7.
The extended classes of Sacred stones may be confusing if you are nos used to those desicions.
fire emblem fates will best awakening
im on conquest and i like its similarities to previous traditional games. you have to think of every possibility and map out strategically. unlike awakening with endless grinding and rushing the enemy and Pairing UP IS OP. fates pairing up is balanced.
Fire emblem shadow Dragon is one of the worst Fire emblems To be honest in my opinion ... The best one for DS hás To be FE Heroes of light and shadow because its better and harder
Gabriel Barbosa no fe nes blade of light. Not ds remake
Very cool; I've always dug the Fire Emblem series.
I know nothing about FE but I want to get into it, I want to know ikes, marths, roy and lucinas story. Which games should I play and which should I start with
Marth's Games are: Fire Emblem 1: Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light
Fire Emblem 3: Mystery of the Emblem, a remake of 1, but also has its own game called Book 2.
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon: Another remake of Fire Emblem 1.
Fire Emblem 12: New Mystery of the Emblem Hero's of Light and Shadow, a remake of Book 2 from Mystery of the Emblem.
Lucina's Game is Fire Emblem 13: Fire Emblem Awakening. This game takes place 2000 years after Marth's games.
Roy's game is Fire Emblem 6: Fire Emblem Binding Blade.
Ike's games are Fire Emblem 9: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance.
Fire Emblem 10: Radiant Dawn.
As for game you should start with, if you want to have an easy first time, then Play Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. It's an easy way to get into the series. If you want to know how Fire Emblem got into the west, then play the first Fire Emblem game that came to the west, Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Sword (it's also called JUST Fire Emblem).
why is it that they put the reveal trailer for fates instead of the actual opening scene
Fire emblem 4 startet the era of good fire emblem games and i hope this era will hold on
Gaiden was good, though?
+Tizi I know this comment is a little old, but FE3 Mystery of the Emblem is also one of the best, and is my personal favorite with regards to lore and storytelling.
+Ryan Keenan What? Most of the fan base regards Gaiden as the worst in the series. I never played it myself tho
+Tizi Not with how Nintendo are doing things...Or feminazis, they censored the new game heavily that I will boycott it :(
Wait, Is this the legendary Tizi that did the fart noises over the fire emblem theme?
I'm not sure why... but the intro of Thracia 776 is in my opinion the most impressive one, by far.
Lord Eliwood and also has massive spoilers
me during the first few seconds of Binding Blade: wow what final fantasy is this
Shera Wizard don't worry it's Better and have similar story, most audience came with the 7 th game
The 13 th arguably ruined the game
And more similarities, just can't name them off my head
I'd like to assume that you're talking about Final Fantasy, in that regard I've been playing FF from the first game and I sorta stopped with 12 because I didn't have the console for 13. FF isn't my favorite franchise but even I have heard as much about 13. 15 is doing pretty good tho
If you aren't talking about FF... I'm so sorry I haven't played Awakening yet (FE13) so i can't say xD
Shera Wizard yes I am comparing FE to FF
Seeing Fates' intro makes me wish it was as good as it seemed like it should be.
My rankings on Fire Emblem games
15. Dark Dragon and Sword of Light
14: Shadow Dragons
13: Awakening
12: FE Fates: Birthright
11: Radiant Dawn
10: Mystery of the Emblem
9: New Mystery of the Emblem
8: Gaiden
7: Path of Radiance
6: Blazing Sword
5: FE Fates: Conquest
4: Sacred Stones
3: Thracia 776
2: Binding Blade
1: Genealogy of the Holy War
how is awakening so low
Luna is Best Waifu Finally someone who doesn't DESPISE Fates
Luna is Best Waifu You ranked Birthright lower than Conquest? Shame
Hot, Tbh Conquest just torches Birthright in map design and difficulty. There was only a handful of maps that I liked in Birthright, even if Conquest's story is trash.
Genealogy of The Holy War is also my number 1 Fire Emblem game
My favorites will always be Fire Emblem 2002, 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 on GBA.
Through them, I just discovered as a kid one of the greatest game series of all time.
And nothing will replace them, even tough Fire Emblem Fates is perhaps more similar to them if compared to the other editions released afterwards.
Radiant dawn's killed it so far, waiting for the 2015 one
Haifa Al-Sallami Are you kidding me? Radiant Dawn was underrated in terms of gameplay.
AmericanBuizel i meant in terms of intros.
@@SilverEspeon He's saying Radiant Dawn was good
10:29 YEA MY BOY JOSHUA
im dying for if in 2016
Have ever heard a searching good voice english actor/actress for the game and something else
I know that 11 and 12 are remakes, but...
Their openings are different from the others.
Sure, 12's just a solo trumpet in the beginning, but it's pretty cool, y'know?
So, why are their trailers included, but not the official openings for 11 and 12?
The last game = WTF
hereinsertname ...are those?
I sincerely am cringing right now.
The Radiant Dawn opening was incomplete. You have to beat the game to get the complete opening.
Honestly so much hate torwards Fire Emblem Tokyo Mirage, i know its different, but it's actually still a fun game with a more modern twist and differences, like i enjoyed playing it and listening to the catchy songs and it still had Fire emblem elements in it too so yeah
Ally Rose it's pretty different. I'd place it in its own crossover genre.
Also people saying the last two werent openings, im pretty sure Fates wasnt even out yet at that time. It was 2015
Poor DS games.
princereyson I like The Shadow Dragón Remake for the DS and the Fire Emblem New Mystery of the Emblem Heroes of Light and Shadow that was my favorite Fire Emblem when i was a kid
Question: How is the dialogue in older FE games compared to the new ones? Did they have the same amount of humor, or were they a little more serious?
The dialogue was a bit more serious due to the atmosphere being darker in most of the older games.
While more serious in general, they weren't devoid of humour. A good example would be Sylvia proving to Sigurd she's not a little girl... ahem.
But regardless, none of the previous games can match how over-the-top silly Awakening's dialogue can be... Like, my god...
+Ocsttiac
FE4... plot points include half sibling incest and such.
not sure why such topics would antagonize people.
also rating is CERO A or the equivilant of ESRB E.
TheBraveGallade Maybe because the incest was portrayed as demonic and a big no no? Also, back then (and maybe even now) such themes in Japan are sorta common.
Ocsttiac
Aand this is the reason I don't really like religion. Stuff needs to change with the times, and religion REALLY hates change.
Also love is love whatever you say... although I do encourage incestious couples closer than second cousins to GET GENETIC SCREENING.
I'm sorry, but the last one *is* Fire Emblem, right?
RIGHT?!
BECAUSE IT JUST LOOKS LIKE AN INTRO TO A WEIRD ANIME OR SOMETHING I'M SORRY
*edit* Alright, so I've been looking at Fire Emblem games lately. The game's called Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and it's apparently a crossover Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem, which makes sense I guess...
No, it's Persona.
+4MuthaRussia
Well okay then
Or rather it's much more Persona than FE. It's not turn-based strategy anymore.
Its not Fire Emblem game, the gameplay is turn-strategy-game with the weapon-triangle from Fire Emblem but a bit different, you can do chains called "sessions" between characters.
I find it interesting how many of these Fire Emblem games have their own separate universes.
Joji they may be connect in the same world and different time line though
wtf is the wii u version? oo
ikr xD
Nico nico niiii
that's what i say what's up with them making a fire emblem crossover game i hope they don't continue that trend
It's called Tokyo Mirrage Sessions #FE, it's a Shin Megami Tensei x FE crossover game.
Shaved Ice Scream it looks so cool
Should we include Project X Zone 2? I mean, Chrom and Lucina are playable characters in that game
No, it shouldn't be. It's like saying that Smash Bros. intros from Melee onwards should be included simply because many FE characters were in those games.
Darling darling darling darling darling darling...
ChriztiaAan Fuck please, no Mr Creepy Guy from Fire Emblem Sacred Stones please
Played since awakening and I am TOO hyped for the new one, the gimmick on choices in the game seems real and gives it some replay value to choose the opposite choice you made which is cool
We don't count SMTxFE as Fire Emblem. Period.
Why?
As a FE fan, yes I do.
Okay the series main theme, the only track to appear in every FE game I think, the Awakening version of that right? Does ANYONE know where I can find a track of JUST that?
i miss the old art style new one is too anime generic and weeaboo friendly
Luka Megurine We're talking about the contra series here right? lol
8elementallords Awakening does look different from prior FE games. It looks similar to generic modern anime while previous games had a generic retro anime design, with the exception of Shadow Dragon, which was given a somewhat more unique look.
alby ron
It all still looks like anime though, and it really *hasn't* changed in terms of how everything actually looks, the only difference is the specific anime style, and even the Gameboy or Tellius games are drawn in a different anime style from the first games.
The clips for Fates and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE are just trailers, yes?
Yes
can we just ditch the shitty one at the end please ok thank you
gabe walker You mean the best one, right? SMT is way better than FE anyway.
Drakkona123 bro SMTxFE isnt even SMT. i saw nothing from FE or SMT in the trailer
gabe walker Actually there are some Fire Emblem characters that actually appear. They just don't look like them but they are. That dark guy that appears a little after the beginning is Chrom, the green haired girl is Tiki, that giant floating head was Gangrel, and there are some more elements. (Though I didn't see any Shin Megami Tensei characters ;_;
gabe 234 Really? Guess you weren't watching. Lots of characters show up. And Tiki looks exactly the same and you still didn't see any FE characters?
Link Hero of Winds you can put mario in a zelda game but it doesnt make it a mario game
I wished all the Fire emblem games had an anime series
Me too I'm not really into anime but I would watch a fire emblem one
Your friendly daily reminder that Fire Emblem started as a Japanese game and was a "Weeb Friendly" game to begin with.
13:02 I had this as my screensaver when I was younger. The good old days.
God that crossover is disgusting
The last video looks like a nice Persona game. Why is it on a Fire Emblem compilation though?
my fave intros are(in order);3sacred stones 2 radient dawn 1fates! I cant wait to see the finished intro of fates when it comes out!
Wait, the hell where did Shadow Dragon and New mystery of the emblem went!?
I love Sacred Stones. I feel it's intro is right behind Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance.
I was trying, I was REALLY trying to be open minded about the new trailer, but daaaamn.
LOL You left out the actual song near the end of the game which is the theme with lyrics.
Damn, I need to go back and finish playing all the old ones...
This compilation has SMT#FE but no Shadow Dragon and New Mystery? Dafuq?
It's fire emblem fates that got me into it
+Majora's Mask i feel bad for you since your only getting like half the game :\
6:43 Nasca Lines?
what was the last fe games after fates?
How about the DS games?
is that Hoshido/Hohr Fire Emblem game available in America yet? Where can I find updates on it?
It's coming out next year (T-T)
+Brenden Fullmer Dude... if the game was released internationally by now, *you would definitely know*.
true, very true
Should I get Awakening? Like I know its very late, so should I get it or just wait till Fates comes out?
get both
Night Kuiba Only have money for one, and I think im getting fates when it comes out
+BlackTheDude if u have time, get awakening and finish it first
Samuel Kelly III School grabbed mah balls, ill just have to wait, and maybe in the future get it and finish it.
I say get Awakening. It's pretty easy but it's fun and the support conversations were pretty humorous.
