I have issues with the PC-9801 version on Neko Project II, as the game lacks sound despite the compressed game that comes with two disks, I just couldn't even manage to play the game other than on N88, which was just a outdated PC-88 emulator from the early 2000s.
@@matcauthon6697 Oh! I seem to have missed this comment entirely, and I'm sorry about that - thank you, that's exactly what I was looking for. (Since I'm not really musically trained, all I knew is that it sounded right...ish, but off, somehow. I had vague muddled memories, from taking basic music in middle school, that the weird depressed-sounding version of a piece I got when I shifted everything in a piece down one key on a keyboard roughly corresponded to a 'minor key' version of the piece, hence the original comment.)
The Turbografx 16 version is what made me respect and love video game music. Hearing "To Make the End of Battle" was literally life changing.
TurboGrafx 16 has always been my favorite.
I agree. It was truly genre defining and could easily beat out other systems on music alone.
Oh you made my day. Uploading this made me feel so happy. This is the best opening to me.
That 6001 version, despite sounding a little rough, has a lot of heart, I dig it.
That PC-6001 one is just a demoscene made by hobbyists. Not actual game opening.
The intro music sounds like it definitely belongs in a Castlevania game or something - for some reason I just think of Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse.
One of the very best openings of all time. And for some reason ne new Anime movie is not nearly as powerful as the older ones.
Also, is it your recording or is the Saturn Version's sound truly this bad?
Yes. Exactly! Especially the turbografx captures that late 80's/early 90's anime charm, that just doesn't exist anymore.
Thanks, I enjoyed it!

....why does the MSX version sound like it's being played in a minor key or something?
