Normally at this time of year we have lovely weather here in Scotland but this is unseasonably awful. Theres snow freshly fallen on some of the mountains too.
Im already elite with Princess but my wife has just today had her email from Princess confirming her status to the Elite club too that she reached on our Caribbean voyage on Emerald Princess that we have just returned from . Can you say congratulations to Angela please?

We were in the Enchanted for 60 days and found that bar service was slow. I mentioned this to an officer and he told me they were down over 10% of the needed crew. Oh well, we were on a cruise & relaxing.

I am at a total of 259 days on Carnival, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity. Been cruising since the 1980’s so have enjoyed cruising when it was amazing and watched the slow decline.
I see that Static performed for your party. Same for me in April. That was fun! It's nice that the guy is wearing a kilt to celebrate the culture of your cruise itinerary. The Captain announced that there were 82 Platinum passengers who would be Elite on their next cruise. That is me!! ☺️ I can't wait for my next Princess cruise!! I have 56 cruises overall, since my first in 1978. Sadly, several of the cruise lines don't even exist anymore. I had a 20 year pause in cruising when I lost my cruise buddy (my mom), so I've been busy catching up with 45 cruises since 2013.
Our first cruise on Princess was in 1994 on the original Pacific Princess. She was a gem! Small, but lovely! Since then we've sailed well over 200 days with Princess, over a hundred with Carnival and a spattering of additional days with other lines. Looking forward to our first cruise on Holland America in a few months after Allison convinced us that she enjoyed her time on HAL. 😃

I have 196 days on Princess. My husband has fewer. We were totally surprised and lucky to be invited to a Most Traveled Guest luncheon last year on the Grand in Alaska. It was an outstanding lunch and we sat with the cruise director and Code 4 for Life. I told them I recognized them and watch their channel.

Connie & I each have 197 days on Princess, and I have 189 on Holland America (Connie has over 200 on HAL). She started cruising before I did. So we're both Elite on Princess, and Connie is 4-star on Holland. The big deal, of course, is free laundry! On HAL if one person has a higher level than the other, both get the higher level of perks if they're on the same booking. Having free laundry makes it much easier to pack lightly.
146 cruise days total. 75 on Holland, 50 on Princess and 21 on NCL
We've been on Princess 121 days... Am looking forward to go from platinum to elite!🎉
I have 530 days on Princess. Ever since the app has been adopted the service is often worse than before the app. The waiters spend a lot of tie trying to find the customer to order the drink. We have seen them spending many minutes wandering around looking for the person who ordered. It was much more pleasant and faster when the waiter took your order and then brought the order to where you were.
I have sailed 44 days with Princess over 3 cruises and 4 days on HAL.
0 days, but we have our first three booked. Aug. 31st 24, June 1st 25, both to Alaska, and April 25th 26 to Mexico. Anniversary and birthday cruises.🎉

36 Cruises days with Princess. A total of 18 cruise ship cruises since the early 1970's and I took 22 years off of cruise ships in the 80's & 90's for the US Navy (no frills cruising). Have absolutely no clue how many sea days I've experienced, but I must love it because I keep coming back!

7 days on The Big Red Boat(Disney before Disney Cruise Lines), Carnival - 21 days, Princess - 7, Holland America-7, Silver Seas -7, Celebrity-28, RCCL-64. More nights on travel agent Fam trips but didn’t get to count those towards Status. Took a break from cruising for a while and went to Hawaii a lot on vacations. Now cruising is the best value compared to pricing out a land vacation. I love it and the ship can always be my destination. I love seeing different places but also just love doing things on the ship.
I've only cruised 14 days. 1 sailing with Princess and 1 sailing with Norwegian.

We sailed Sitmar too in the 70's! Fairsea and Fairwind. Were you aware, as Princess bought out Sitmar, if you can show proof of your cruises on Sitmar you will receive credit for days cruised?
@@caroledalgleish2979 Hi I did have all my Sitmar paperwork (it pays to be a pack rat) and they have included that in my Princess sails. We sailed on the Fairwind twice.

When I first started going to P&O UK in the restaurant, they used to have wine and drink waiters. They stopped doing that; however, the waiter now serves food and drink, so food service is a lot faster, so it is probably better overall.
When I want a drink, I always go to the bar and order it myself. Much quicker that way. Oh, and as for my cruising experience: 65 days on Princess (which will be 86 by the end of August), 10 days on Royal Caribbean and 7 days on Norwiegian.
1. I think it is MEGA COOL that we have a Family Member who is part of the crew!!!
2. It had better not rain tomorrow. The Orkney Islands are a must see experience.
3. We are currently sitting at about 4150 days on ships give or take an hour or 2.
The majority have been on Celebrity with 213 cruises. Princess is running 2nd with only 18.
6 miscellaneous cruise lines.

I had to look at my Princess Account to see how many days and and sailings. . . 204 days and 19 sailings, all on Princess. This is over an 18+ years time period.
We've been 10 days on Royal Caribbean, 10 days on Celebrity (bad experience), 21 days on Norwegian and 188 days on Princess-you can tell the favorite.
We just got off Celebrity Beyond, and the service was great. The ship is beautiful.

These are the cruise lines I sail with, and this is how many nights I've done P&O UK 70 days, Princess; 50 days Fred Olsen, 45 days, and Cunard, 50 days The reason are use these cruise lines is because between all of them they leaves Southampton year round
117 on Princess, 7 on Costa and 7 on my very first cruise on Commodore cruise line a long time ago.
Getting on the Sky Princess today!!! Norway cruise. After this cruise we will have 28 days with Princess. 12 with Holland, 29 with Royal Caribbean and 7 with NCL. lol!

Went on the Island Princess in May 2024, the full Panama Canal cruise out of Los Angeles. We found the bar service similar to what you have recently experienced. We had to chase down our waiters or go directly to the bar to order and receive our drinks. The OceanNow app was such a disappointment for our group and others near us we gave up trying to use it. Drinks would get ordered but they were never delivered even though the app would indicate they had been. The waiters told us that our location was not clearly marked on the app especially between the open upper decks, Lido and deck 15 and 16. We will try again on the Sun Princess in September. Hopefully the app works as planned!

Glad the cruise is going well Alison! We have found the drink service to be generally painfully slow on Princess in recent times. In contrast we recently completed our first ever MSC cruise and the drink service was almost always brilliant. During the entirety of our 3 week transatlantic we never waited more than one minute to get served and the drinks were always with us within two or three minutes. We were very impressed.
I was disappointed on our Sun Princess sailing last month we never got an invite to the Captain’s Circle party. We are Platinum and have enjoyed 10 cruises so far. 😢
We have 90 days with Princess. We will add another 21 in October on our Trans Atlantic on the Regal
For us it is 101 days. We have a 16 day Hawaii booked.

Here’s my data…39 Cruises Sailed 248 Total Princess Cruise Days. Guess I will have to take a lot of extremely long cruises to reach close to 2,000 days. I am cruising to Alaska in September from San Francisco. Anyone have any ideas as to why they always use the small ships?
The problem is that more & more cruisers are ordering from their app, taking staff away from their usual jobs in making & serving drinks. Princess hasn't compensated this extra work by employing more staff, instead relying on the current staffing levels to to service all aspects of your cruise.

We haven't activated the room service within the app is what we mean.
Sorry, for me a three or four day cruise is just not worth the effort that it takes to get ready for a cruise. By the time you board and disembark, your cruise could only be one or two real days.
Utopia of the seas... Party booze cruise. Im thinking as a senior Princess cruiser this wouldn't be our preference of cruising. When we were younger and enjoyed booze cruises and didn't mind inebriated people it would have been ok.
