I have a smaller silver sword that I just bought. I’m a sucker for beautiful silvery leaves.

I found my baby silver sword at a local nursery here in Amarillo, then shortly after that I saw bigger ones at Wal Mart. I am really enjoying watching my baby grow though, I too think they are beautiful plants!! Anything silver for me, but yes I agree with what you said about letting the plant speak to you, I do not have any super rare plants, I like what I like and if I happen to be able to get my hands on it and it is in my price range i'm taking it home! Your silver sword is beautiful!! I look forward to watching mine grow up.

Your explination for the reason plants become leggy is wonderful. Thats such a key knowledge nugget for newer plant hobbiests!😊

Recently bought one and your video has inspired me to stake it! Yours is gorgeous! I also only purchase plants that speak to me; that I’m drawn to (for whatever reason). I have no regard for what’s trendy if the connection is lacking. Thanks for sharing!

Hello. I love your videos! I have been seeing the plastic moss poles everywhere. You said you will let us know what you think about it. Would really love to know if I should go for it

Yours looks beautiful, and I love this plant but.. I just chopped top off mine so now I have a 3 leaf thick stemmed rooted plant( thanks to moss pole). The bottom leaves turned yellow, I think, due to over watering. It's in sphagnum moss and doing well should I leave it or put in chunky soil? Thank you

I use a chunky soil medium. Thanks for watching

I have a silver sword but my leaves are long and skinny. It is a baby plant though.Maybe three leaves when I bought it. It is growing really well. Stems are smaller than my little finger by a little bit. Last time I chopped it I was able to make two nice cuttings.Lots of new growth at the base of new cuttings. Internode spacing isabout 1 1/2 inch btween leaves. I wonder if my leaveswill ever get nice and wide like your leaves are or are there two vrieties of silver sword?

It will grow larger, it is in it’s dna. Give it plenty of bright indirect light and some fertilizer in the water. Read the instruction on the bottle for best use, if you have never fertilized your plants before. Thanks for watching..

@@GreenManGrow7 I fertalize with fish emulsion. Last fall since I has osomacoat and it is supposed to last three months. Otherwise I do not use any other fert. have it is good indirect light I am fine with the narrow leaves they are pretty but your leaves are gorgeous. Thanks!
