They are also my heroes！ From CL63 to S63 Coupe they're getting better and better. I'm so disappointed when I heard they decided to discontinue the S class two door in the new generation. Especially the coupe version because the new SL63/73 will soon come out to give people the convertibles. But the coupe means everything to me. I'm still working hard to earn enough money to buy a brand new S63 Coupe or CL63 or whatever it's called. I'm still hoping that they can make a hard roof coupe version of the next SL family.
Dreams do come true. Watch this space - it has been confirmed that there will be no direct replacement for the two door S-Class but we will have a new flagship joining the range soon. If ever you get the chance to meet your heroes, do.
I'm thinking of getting an s63 coupe in uk but i worry about it not being 4 wheel drive - and am therefore favouring an amg gt63s...I dont chop and change cars much. I know i like mercs and the s63 would be a zero brainer if it had 4matic. Whats your view? - Having rolled at 80 during my youth im not keen on high powered cars that will kill you if you make an error due to being stupdily powerful through only the rear typres. Should i worry about this with the s63 in your view?
Great question. You do have to be quite progressive when applying power from a standstill - 900 NM to the rear wheels is a lot but never a handful. The car always felt wonderfully stable at lower or higher speeds. The character of the S 63 is one to flow into corners rather than attacking them. For maximum attack the GT 63 S is absolutely astounding. As sharp as a razor, relentlessly quick and magnetically attracted to the ground - yet still able to become a comfortable and civilised cruiser. Perhaps, the S 63 is the ultimate continental cruiser. Relaxed in its demeanour with the performance on tap to effortlessly whisk you up to speed or past whatever is spoiling your view of the world ahead. The GT 63 S is the ultimate everyday four door, able to carve its way through any setting at an astounding rate. It's a tough choice - I absolutely adore them both.
