This box is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I started looking for my end of the year Oseibo. I have a few Japanese friends who have not been able to go home since the start of the pandemic and even though we can get a lot of Japanese items where I live, the items in this care package look unique. I have not seen them in our local Japanese markets. I think my friends will appreciate these and I will purchase more than a few. Thank you for this video and the great gift idea!

Got the package a couple days ago and already enjoying my first experience with tofu with the chili oil, soy sauce, and green onion. Lovely! I'm trying to figure oil where I know that taste/smell of the chili oil. I believe it's a little side dish I'd always get in a local Thai place with cucumbers that has since moved, and I never was able to replicate. Wonderful selection of items. Hope you do more! I'm excited to go back to a local sushi place with the soy sauce for their sashimi. It was good, but I bet it'll be even better now!

I am getting a box. I have not gotten my first Kokoru box yet and I was reluctant. I really want to try the soup and the chili oil. I was a bit hesitant about chili oil. I just got some Bonita for my cats and they love it. I need some for myself now. This looks good. The soup recipe looks like instant food, but it is fresh. I love how you used the stems. You guys don't waste anything. Also something I noticed years ago. When the Japanese taste something, you just put a big bite in your mouth. A lot of westerners just take a nibble to small bite. LOL. I have always respected the Japanese for just diving into something new. I noticed that when the chef show from Japan was so popular. The competition show. Hugs. As usual, I learned of things I had never heard of like red sake, the sugar. I want to try the soy sauce too.
So excited about this I ordered the box before I even watched the video. Which was excellent, btw. Even though it is a promotion, you guys are so much fun to watch and all the time you put into filming and editing really shows.

Great video YES a lot of people that are new to Sushi and sashimi do not realize that there are several kinds of soy sauce just for Raw fish. You should NEVER use the dark Chinese soy sauce that you get with Chinese takeout in Europe and North America. I am fairly sure you can go to jail if you do ☺

Unfortunately it is considered faux pas to drench sushi in soy sauce. You’re only tasting soy sauce that way. It should be the other way around. Try dipping just the tip of the sushi in soy sauce next time.
@@TabiEats I find this so interesting because in America for example it might be considered in poor taste to put relish on a hot dog. However, most would likely say to enjoy your food how you like it. Thanks for the reply. Love u guys.

I get the impression that dashi is like chicken broth it finds its way in to anything that can be improved with a flavorful adaptable liquid.
Shinichi those teabags always look great, but what are they made of?? Are they bio-degradable?
