I can’t say for 100% certain what’s going on under the hood, but the meshes, topology, and UV maps are all different. If your prompt is more unique then you’ll output more varied models (like “house made out of cardboard” or something) so maybe, in the case of frogs, its already given some outline of what the final product should be?
How do you mean? As far as I’m aware (and I definitely could be out of the loop), Viewer doesn’t generate meshes. It does the AI paint-over but the topology and whatnot doesn’t really matter there. And regarding the models being a mess, yeah that’s depends on where you’re gonna use it. If you needed it for anything realtime, I’d likely retopo + bake it.
In substance viewer select text to 3d and type frog and you will have the same frog you generated. Then export scene, i have tried obj, glb, gltf and usd and the object ends upp like a wireframe mess
Ahh okay, yeah I doubt changing the file type would save you there. Depending on the object, a Remesh Modifier would probably be your best bet, followed by UVing it and baking. If it’d help, I could probably do a video on that whole process A to Z to get the models ready for other use cases.
Are you sure the mesh is generated by AI? All 4 frogs look like they're the same mesh/topology.
they aren't, for example the frogs have varying number of fingers

@@DUSMIC Thanks! I missed that.
@@CassiusJohnAdams no problem mate👍 local 3D artist at the rescue
So will this work in substance viewer so we finally can export the generated models out from viewer, the model that you exported were just a mess..

You can generate 3d models from text in viewer and you can export them but when you import them to blender or ae they are just a mess

@@JasonFerry can you try and export the model from both programs and see if there is any difference. I only have substance viewer since its free
