Hey, great writing! You seem to have a really good pulse on how to write "funk" for drumline. You built everything ontop of a really cool backbeat too. I bet this cadence gets a crowd of people moving forward with ease.

This is really neat and jams quite well. I’m really glad people are putting cool stuff together for this! You’ve got some really creative ideas that I really like such as bars 8-10. The quad part is also really friendly on the hands. I do have a couple of constructive things about your bass drum part though. Before I elaborate, it’s your cadence, and you should do whatever you want with it. It’s a bit unnecessary (imo) to put accents over most unison notes. Having 5 people play a note is already much louder than one, and I like to hear splits stick out not sink in. I also think the difficulty is a bit off. The most difficult things are the accented unison sixtuplets at ff (real hard to clean and on bass 5 you need some pretty good chops) and the sixtuplets in bar 7 and 11. Those are both quite difficult while the rest is much simpler. Weaker bass lines may never get those couple of licks, while stronger lines will probably be bored. So I would either scale everything else up (like maybe add split sixtuplet singles on 1 and 2) or bring those parts down. I also think a lot of the splits could be bumped up one drum. 1 is usually a stronger player, and 1 is not utilized in a lot of the splits. Once again, these are just things I would do, and you should do whatever pleases you. Overall, it really is great. I hope it gets featured.

Hey man I really appreciate the criticism, the only reason i really put the accents on the unisions is just so that i can hear the part more clearly when being played through the software but all of your advice is super helpful and i will look into adressing those kind of issues in any future arrangments i may make.
