I’m currently preparing and I thought the list was lacking. However, I also realize that it is meant to be used globally. As Americans we have access to many conveniences that make a mission easier that you might view as essentials. As Utahns in particular the amount of mission clothes we have access to is insane. Not everyone around the world has this privilege, and that’s probably why the list only covers the bare minimum.

Hahahha I did have Sunday and proselyting shoes 🤣🤦🏻♀️ and all different colors to match my outfits, but transfers were so hard, when going on the train alone with all my suitcases 🤣 .

I’m not sure your supposed to be talking about sacred clothing. Have you received approval from the LDS church authorities?

Hi, Jess. I really liked this video but I feel like you shouldn't have disregard family history work that should be prepared because its very important more than what you bring for yourself. It is one selfless thing we ask to do as part of preparation. I am happy I realized how much your comment affected my effort to try to complete a four-generation pedigree, and immediately after I realized it, I went back and did my best to find my ancestor's details. I hope others will also realize this and miss out on the good of helping others to receive saving ordinance once the names are prepared and submitted.
It is important but it isn't an essential thing you MUST have before you arrive in the MTC. You can always print it out later during your mission. I just didn't want to stress anyone out who might not know all four generations of their family (like I did) and feel less than because they aren't a perfect missionary before they even go into the field :)

I have a question - I'm a big fashionista and LOVE clothes. Could I dress up even more on P-day? I have some jewelry I want to wear that I think won't be acceptable for a mission?
Also I was thinking of shipping my summer wardrobe home to my family and have my family ship my winter wardrobe to me? Would that work?

Cory Soto I was the same way!! I hadn’t cried in a really long time and I always just felt “numb” with my feelings. Ever since I started praying and seriously reading the Book of Mormon I have felt so much emotion in a positive way. You should really try it too
Will they provide a service of scriptures in the language you'll be teaching in at the mtc?

I think the pairs of shoes that are comfortable are 2-3 inches as a Sister may find themselves comfortable to wear.

Right after your missionary shoes videos, I looked everywhere for those rocket dog shoes and found some online and oh my gosh I'm so glad I found them! Thank you sososo much they'll be so useful when I leave for Dominican Republic in January!

Sunday Jess it’s a pesticide! you soak your clothes in it and it keeps bugs away. i also had no clue what it was until i got my call packet lol
Where did you get most of your clothes. I have 57 days till I report to the MTC and I have no idea where to get skirts and shirts. Any suggestions?

I’ve gotten a lot of good skirts on amazon! I’m 5’10” and I even managed to find skirts long enough for me. Plus all of the skirts I got have pockets!
