DIY Chalk Paint Recipe:
2 parts acrylic or latex paint
1 part pure talc (Do not use cornstarch baby powder it won't work because the cornstarch is too slippery!)
Mix very well, shaking is best. Check the paint often to make sure that the all the talc is incorporated. Use on any dull surface such as raw wood, plastic, metal. If you are gluing the project onto something, glue it first, then paint it. Sometimes the baby powder doesn't hold the glue very well.

A little hint,when filling collander with potting soil,if you take and flatten out a coffee filter and lay it on bottom of planter before adding soil,it allows drainage of water,but you will not lose your potting soil,( this can be done for all planters and especially those with one drainage hole)and also by placing your bird feed cups in its side,it helps keep your birdseed from staying wet if it were to rain and also when the dew falls at night! And you never have to apologize for being comfortable and especially while working,comfort,and crafting go hand in hand! With that last one you could keep the glass jar clear and put a dollar tree solar light on top.
For Memorial Day and 4th of July you could add those small hand held flags in the vases with greenery or flowers

If you lay the teacups on their sides, it works great too!
I've been hearing all about that laying them on the side but the store owner requested them standing straight up so that's how I'm doing them this time. I'll probably make some laying over just to see if she likes them that way as well!

On your spindle jars you could put a jar lid upside down on top and put a candle on them.
Love the cup feeders and the colander plant stand, maybe some Windmill Welcome signs but not on all.

I love all of these. Currently working on spindles myself❤ The last jar spindles you could decorate for each season. Small piece of floral foam & say smaller spindles made into Flags for Patrotic them etc. or just flags😁 My spindles turned into candle holders.

Putting a votive holder and a candle. The clear or colored kind that are usually on wall sconces. Not sure they would fit but that’s the first thing I thought would be nice even before you ask. Great video, thanks for sharing. Have a great week.

I love the canisters. They are sweet. I'd put some grasses or an arrangement that doesn't have fIowers in it. Walmart has some beautiful arrangements.

Lowe's has them in various sizes and shapes starting at $2 for the unfinished turned wood ones.
Never saw bird feeders made standing up, the cups were always on their side. These are really cute thanks.

Hobby Lobby has a draped along drape plan of real tiny small Eucalyptus in plastic with a white Frost over it and that would look pretty to drink some of those little pieces out in there to drape out of the jar but look really cute could even wrap with some jute rope that would look cute too

Sandra they all turned out great.!! The tea cup ones maybe next time try laying the cup down on the plate so you can put seed in it and it looks like its pouring out. Just a suggestion. But they were all gorgeous.

I found mine on Facebook Marketplace and got them for really cheap. I've never been able to find spindles at a thrift store so hopefully you are luckier than I am!

Sandra on the sprindle that you put the colander on that had a 6x6 and a 4x4 block on the bottom, did you use 1 screw to go through both boards and into the spindle or did you use two screws. When you showed the bottom, it looked like there were two screw holes, can you explain how you attached everything please 😊
Hi amber, sorry I didn't show exactly what I did. I'll try to explain as best I can. I started off with the smaller 4x4 and screwed that into the spindle from the bottom up then I took the 6x6 and screwed that into the 4x4 from the bottom up using two screws on the bottom.
Do they tip when birds sit on them to feel?
Not sure, I haven't put them outside yet but they would definitely need to have some weight on the bottom to prevent them from tipping over. I would probably put them in a flower pot and weighed it down with some stones and then put some soil on top and plant flowers in it too!
