Wow thanks for taking me back down memory lane, I have done that trip twice from Kenya to South Africa, one via Mozambique (very dangerous then immediately after the war) and the other one via Zambia, I was a teenager before camera phones in early 2000's.
Yes. Tanzania is expanding Makambako Tunduma road to dual carriageway.
About Dodoma, it is not planning there is a lot of construction going on in Dodoma from Magufuli government city, NCC link city, new judiciary building, new state house, new international airport and more than 160km of dual carriageway. So no planning it is actual construction
Great development projects, Bertin. Way to go Tanzania👏👏
Wonderful to see you two again. Thanks for the updates and pride you share about the countries in SADC.

My lovely sisters, thank you very much for your educative inputs about the countries you have visited. I confess to be addicted to your channel because you are genuine to what you see and experience. You do not talk to what interests people but what you really feel and experienced. You deserve to be professors.
Hey Olivia and Hydia, Great informative insight on your trip 👍🏾
Hello, @Mariorafe. Thank you.
Karibou Olivia!

You are a humble soul Liv,God bless you,it was great meeting you ubarikiwe sana
It was my pleasure too, Vincent. Barikiwa pia tena sana.
I enjoyed this discussion!! African countries have a lot of potential, a lot of under utilized resources.
I agree, Bonnie. We need to do better and maximize our potential.
Great info as usual...
Thank you, @naturalgirldiy
The journey was epic i literally went with you to South Africa and back through all your episodes from day one.
I am glad you enjoyed the virtual journey, Paul. Thank you for watching.
In kenya, KeNHA has recently started constructing Truck Laybays off the highways for long distance Trucks.

Excited to hear that, @Tshini. Thanks for the support.
Liv Kenya keep it up girl..A big fan here
Thank you for the support, @Levy
Dodoma was chosen to be the capital city due to it’s central location and availability of vast land for expansion. Major projects including construction of government staff houses, malls, government offices, social amenities, etc are being implemented. The East Africa’s largest airport is underway in this city. 115km long bypass road around the city is too being done.
It terms of size, Dodoma is 4th largest city after Dar, Mwanza and Arusha. Dar remains the country’s major financial hub. Arusha is both East African capital and headquarter for tourism. Mwanza cover Northern side as a financial hub.
Great insight, Aggrey. Thank you so much for the information. Yes, we saw the ongoing construction of the Dodoma Airport. Excited for the outcome.
The road trip to South Africa was epic
I agree. It was the best experience
One thing you did not mention about Dodoma is that the government cited Dodoma as new capital and administrative city, one to grow another city because Dar was congested and was not growing. Two Dodoma is central to Tanzania and small in order for it to be grown and expanded.
Great insight, Tobias. Thank you.
Nice culture shock
Thanks, Ian Jesse
been there done that seen all that I love everything you do
Thank you so much for the support, Zebedi
I need to visit Africa ASAP!
Please do. Explore it fully. Africa is very beautiful
Tanzania is second biggest wine producer in Africa. There are many brands of wine made in Dodoma. The popular ones are
1- Dodoma wine
2- dompo
3- altar wine ( my favorite)
4- imagi
5- presidential
Great insight, @iskiji. Perhaps I haven't been keen but I am yet to see the brands in our market. Will actively check them out the next time I am in Tanzania.
I think they're small industries which produce just enough to serve the local market.
@@iskiji1240they do export too, wines is cheap in Tanzania and sometimes grape farmers are miss the markets to sell their produces because of overwhelmed factories
I wanna try that Zambian local food that they sell in pots along the highways dear
Thank you for the analysis. I am a Zambian who has lived in Kenya before now I live in Cape Town Karibuni next time mukikuja pande hii.
“Karibuni next time mkija kanda ya huku”
Asante sana, Tobias. I hope you had a great time in Kenya. We will be back to Cape Town briefly in October or November.
@liv, do the grapes have seeds in them?
Yes.
toyota sienta is actually a seven seater
may I commend your videographer he is the best
Indeed. Thank you, Zebedi.
When you come back to Malawi, please visit Blantyre
I really enjoyed your observation in different countries you have been during the road trip to SA 🇿🇦😅
You guys are funny 😄
Tunduma Border Is so hectic I don’t know the reason why 🤦♂️
People say that Harare the capital of Zimbabwe looks very similar to Nairobi ?
Thank you so much, @ezm. Tunduma is a nightmare. I hope that changes. We never got to Harare on this trip but we will plan to explore Zimbabwe in the near future.
Pap is in Afrikaans language which is mainly in the city, in the Namibian villages in the north in oshiwambo (Bantu language) we call it ‘oshifima’ which is either maize meal or mahangu or Pearl millet.
Great insight, @Ndeumona. Noted with thanks. Thanks for watching.
In western kenya, where maize meal is the major staple food, it’s called Obusuma 😊
Adiya my favorite
Dompo, Image, Dodoma, Altar wines, etc are all produced in Tz
Thank you, Aggrey. Will check them out.
The population of Zambia is small but their land is vast still developing Livingston is clean city
hello guys, big fan here... next time add Sam hunt, bottle it up song in your videos... thank me later
Hello, Nixon. Thanks for the suggestion. Will check if there is a copyright free version of it.
You are always my favorite
Thanks for the support, Daniel🤗
I fear part two after a review of the first country, will be just full of: "same as in.. " 🤣🤣
Great to know they are wine producers in TZ.
😅😅 not quite. Thanks for watching, @Lebo
Tanzania and Malawi relatively cheap aslo food is good
Dagaa is also called Sardines
Noted with thanks, @Ndjili
Toyota sienta? Malawi is like Mihango in Utawala
Dodoma wine is best🎉
Awesome. Will check it out the next time I am in Tanzania. Thanks for tuning in, Mr. Traveller
driving around looking for Lilongwe CBD when in the middle of it was a highlight 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣We circled around for over an hour looking for it thinking we could have missed a turn.
Tanzanian government has already signed a contract with a Chinese company to build a 218km expressway from Igawa to Tunduma through Mbeya Town. Too bad there will be a toll gate 😂😂.Once completed it will reduce the time taken to reach tunduma and cross the border. Thanks for your good observation, karibu tena. Tunakupenda.
Wow. That is so exciting, @iskiji. Can't wait to cruise on it someday. I don't mind paying toll on a great road. Thanks so much for tuning in and tunawapenda pia.
Good move. There’s nothing wrong with toll payment as long as it’s worth it.
Probably you talking about the EPC+F road projects, those roads aren't going to be tolled and the government already elaborated that, the only toll road will be Dar to Dodoma expressway which will be more than 400km longest expressway in Sub-Saharan Africa I think
Narrow road?, I think your talking about kitonga, the plan is underway to expand this road to four way so next time you visit Tz you will be surprised!
A mango here in Vaughan Ontario is 1.97$ each! And that is a good deal😢
🥲🥲
Namibia's pap is oshifima or oshithima
Tanzania 🇹🇿 wines; I know of V and A which is normally 20% of Alcohol content
Sienta in Kenya is used too from cabanas to kayole and utawala to kayole. Weeee they pack but not like malawi
They are now illegal as from 1 day ago. Not to be used as PSVs.
@Keithan, Interesting 😅. Never seen them
@@likatalikata3823 Happy to hear that. That was quite dangerous.
Even Emali to Loitoktok
@@likatalikata3823 oooh wow they should be aki, the way the pack passengers 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hapo kwa brasier🤣🤣🤣
😆😆
Zimbabwean gold is already facing some challenges, and it's already fluctuating against the dollar.
That is quite unfortunate, John. I hope it stabilizes
Hi ladies in South Africa we've got 2⃣ oceans one Indian Ocean and antarctic Ocean cape Town is antarctic Ocean the water of antarctic Ocean is cold and we have got Indian Ocean the water of Indian Ocean is hot you get Indian Ocean in Durban but one of your videos you show were two oceans meet together
Indian ocean and Atlantic ocean
Hello, Zamani. Yes, we documented our experience of Cape Agulhas, where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean. We will be back later this year to explore Durban and its warm beaches.
You mean the 'Atlantic'
Dodoma wine,
Thanks for clarifying that, Eugine. Will check it out the next time I am in Tanzania.
❤
Tanzani is moving it's capital to dodoma for security reasons ... Daresalam can easily be invaded , they just moved their administration to chamwino ... it was the dream of Mwalimu Nyerere so give them some years to grow their new capital, you know countries like senegal should do the same
The capital is not new btw, it's 50 years old
@@aliciafields-worldtravelle8248 its not in reality
In Africa most govt prefer smaller cities as capitals because they fear uprisings and in large cities it's a nightmare to control
Great insight and strategy, @Praise. Had not considered that. Thank you.
I think they should change that attitude.
Which countries are those?
@@Philasande_Shangegood question
Who told you that 😂
Tanzanian breakfast resembles Philipines, they eat meat, rice, pasta, fruits, chicken and everything you would have for dinner. I was surprised even though they are so slim.
Wow. That is wonderful. I love food and Tanzania won my heart😅.
The Tanzania roads are good but I think it's only the highways. I was in the Arusha and Kilimanjaro region, so I'll speak of that region only, most of the roads there are not so good, they still have a long way to go.
Many district roads are under construction and others underway on planning. Tanzania is so big remember it is twice in size Kenya and it is the developing country
Thanks for your feedback, Daisy. We will be there later in May.
I was surprised in Nairobi when I went there and requested for Ugali nyama and they didn’t give me vegetables while were just there in front of me 😢
In Kenya you have to order everything separately. Vegetables are sold separately
@@LIVKENYA yeah, my friend was like bro that's what u have paid for
Niko homa bay dala l like vile unatutembeza
Karibu, George. Thanks too for being a part of my virtual family.
Capital City doesn’t need to be large city, to run government administration needs less traffic congestion, and more secured land or buildings
Noted. Thanks for the feedback, Kind Mkansi
💯 % agreed. We should move away from that norm. It should be an organized city directed by efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
Omena is silver cyprinid or Lake Victoria sardines. Hadiya got it right.
Thank you for the clarification, Jane. Thanks too for watching.
Next time you travel on Uganda Rwanda route please use Kabale route .The roads are excellent and takes you across the best countryside.Be careful when you give impression that if it was kenyans wangepora mali.If it was you in Kenya would you have escaped with the same goods.people are likely to fear kenyans for the thst matter
Thank you for the insight, Thomas. Will check it out. About trustworthiness, I am just saying that people should not expect the same level of trustworthiness you would find in most parts in Tanzania, in major cosmopolitan cities across the world. This is not just about Nairobi.
Still remember how shocked I was by the cheap internet in Kenya
Yes, we don't have minerals. Govt intentional on making it cheap by incentives to undersea cable, network and high masts Investors for the unemployed millions of youths to work online
Somebody should convince me that Adiya is not a university lecturer and Liv doesn’t work for a media house 😊
🤣🤣🤣🤣 interesting deduction, Aggrey
You have to convince me, otherwise am watching and listening to a lecturer and a news anchor
In Naija, we still dey pray and hope for miracles😂😂
Stop praying for 6months, we wanna see something. 🤣🤣

For me the first culture shock is your Nairobi-Capetown team of four shrinking to two??? Upto now you've not deciphered the Zambian bra issue? Just talk to the married men😂😂😂. Malawi: Did you eat any roasted meat by the roadside?? I have ever cruised on some the roads you've mentioned here and I respect your team for getting there and back in one piece. I even respect you more for taking a low clearance car that far with that shopping in the boot. You brought that car back intact❤❤. I wouldn't try that in a low car.
😅😅😅interesting culture shock, Edward. I will talk to them🤣🤣.
We did not eat roasted meat in Malawi.
Pearl outdid herself in this trip. She is quite resilient.
Southern African men are the smallest and west African biggest in statue. Regional gene pools
Thank you for the feedback, Victor.
Not true. There’s a lot of small built men from west Africa, and mostly short in height
There are also big men in Southern Africa
@@hirokoherwamanyami3542 Yes but we mean average
@@victormhike-wx5zkI support you. We cannot dwell on minorities
Pap is an Afrikaans word for porridge and each tribe have their own name they call maize meal in their native language
Great to learn, @hiroko. Thank you
Apart from Tanzania being trusting, you should know if a Tanzanian tells you #Nimekuachia Mungu, ameenda kukuroga
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's scary though funny🤣
That one of Tanzanians being friendly and welcoming to Kenyans is a shock to me! Do Tanzanians really love Kenyans or they were just being friendly to you guys coz you were visitors/tourists?
Coz I wonder where we as Kenyans got this whole notion of Tanzanians being hateful towards us! 🤔
During all our trips across Tanzania, all Tanzanians we encountered showed us genuine love. Most of them even expressed their interest in visiting and staying in Kenya. We have never experienced any form of hate.
You analysis on Zambia is fine. Tunduma one boarder post needs to be exposed. Something is not right there. Travellers are taking too long at the boader before they are processed. Zambia needs to take advantage of its land mass to grow more food. I am not sure about your analysis of bras and short men. I am not sure whether your analysis is scientific enough. Zambia has a lot of opportunities. Lot gaps opportunities for investment.
😂😂 about the short men and braless ladies
Thank you, Tobias. I agree. Zambia has massive potential due to its vast resources. Tunduma needs a serious overhaul.
@@trendinggossip8692 😅😅
Do you guys know that Kenya is always ranked ahead of TZ in best road network in Africa. Kenya is ranked 6th in Africa.
In the 1990's Kenya easily had some of the worst roads in Africa. If there ever was a roads miracle on the continent in terms of improvement, I guess its Kenya.
@@likatalikata3823but they didnt say anything different. They were just giving their view on different countries
@@likatalikata3823 in 90’s most African countries had bad roads not just kenya. Some countries have improved, some have not changed while some have gotten worse
They're not talking about online rankings, they're expressing their experiences on the ground
@@mcback4384 and the online rankings are scientifically bases on ground experience do you know what scientific means here.
A whole compound for 7 euro 50cent, not true😮😮😮😮
Very true. Accommodation is cheap in Malawi.
Quite a number of hotels in too do not allow two people of same gender booking same room.
In which country, @Ndjili?
Leaving things with a Stranger is Normal!
Even in Burundi a Vendor can leave his/her Merchandise with a stanger because taking or stealing from a Vendor is seen as wickedness or lack of integrity

You're a bloody hater of everything South Africa i will see your vile and disgusting comment about all the things good about South Africa
Malawi things are very cheap..
Very. We could have stayed longer if we had more time.
To my fellow Americans: Restaurants are called HOTELS. So when these ladies talk about Hotels they mean restaurants (unless they are speaking of restaurants with rooms) !!
Restaurants are not hotels in Kenya. We know the difference between hotels and restaurants
@@trendinggossip8692 so if you know the difference, why are restaurants in common conversation called Hotels? I lived in Nairobi, I lived in Lavington and the term hotel can be interchangeable with restaurant!!
@@soulrebel2006 yes it interchangeable but that doesnt mean we dont know the difference

@liv Kenya that story of fish in Kenya;stop lying about Nairobi and please, ati mtu akiwachiwa kitu kwa mtu atahepa nayo??? your channel is international so don't scare visitors, please.
Lakini si amesema ukweli, try that in Nairobi utalia kwa choo
@Simong794 Nimedanganya kweli? Fanya social experiement halafu utatuambia. Anyway, I said that not only about Nairobi but also in most major cosmopolitan cities.

Nafanya biashara mjini Nairobi sehemu ya soko.Kuna wakenya wengi ambao ni waminifu.
@@LIVKENYA Keep up with the good work. I think the lake communities around the world should have a better way of disposing the fish waste properly so they don’t smell too much. I come from the lake region. Kisumu is the cleanest city in Kenya. Historically we know many people in Kenya didn’t eat Fish because of the smell. And at a times people degraded other people based on that. Things have improved and it is based on constructive criticism. Remember when you see something give a helping hand on how to go about it.
You are doing a great job. You are giving us a positive honest opinion. I’m a great supporter for your good work.
