Wow thank you so much! I’ve been researching so much if I can use thermal laminate pouches and then put it through the circuit and you answered all my questions! Life saver
Thank you, that was super helpful as I thought the only way to laminate was to use self adhesive and I just know I'd struggle to use that without any bubbles and sticking to things I don't want it to stick to!! But splitting a thermal laminating sheet is such a great idea 🧡
Thanks for sharing another great vlog. I was wondering if you could so kindly do a vlog on how you make your suncatchers. I have been working on these myself and was wondering if there were some additional tips or tricks that could help me. Thanks again for sharing and many blessings to you in 2024.
@@darcywoelffer2322I was able to use the poster board setting on my explore to get them to cut. Sometimes I use my deep cut blade and sometimes I don’t. Hope that helps
What material and cut settings do you put on your machine and what sticker paper do you use to print? I struggle with getting my cricut to cut deep enough to get the stickers out
@@DrawerOfThings24 I just tried this yesterday and it works! Just remember to put a sheet of plain paper between the back of the sticker page and the back of the laminating pouch so you can separate the sticker from the pouch. The first time I tried it I forgot to put a piece of paper behind the sticker and I had to cut into the sticker to separate it, but then the backing was stuck to the back of the laminating pouch. I hope this doesn't sound too confusing. I JUST REALIZED SHE SEPARATED THE POUCH AND ONLY USED ONE LAYER SO I'M GOING TO TRY THIS NOW. (I hadn't watched this fora while and I forgot about that little important step) Now I was just watching a video by Holleez Hobbies and she feeds the stickers through in the pouch with no paper behind and then she cut it on her Cricut and then it looks like that works too. She just peeled the back of the pouch off with the sticker backing.
Great video! Quick question, doesn’t the hot setting mess up the adhesive of the sticker? I thought I couldn’t to do them on hot, only cold to avoid damages to the sticker? Thanks again for the video
Hi there! Your stickers look SO good and so professional! Do you ever have any problems with adhesive getting stuck in your laminator or just general cleaning issues with it? I want to try your method instead of using self adhesive laminate sheets but i'm worried about the longevity of my laminator! Online i'm reading that it's best to make sure the laminate sheets are as aligned with the sticker sheet as possible and leave no part of the sticker sheet exposed.. but I do wanna try to save on laminate sheets like you were in the video :)
I'd really like to know what laminator you're using because I was under the impression you can't laminate a single side with a lot of them? And I don't see it in your Amazon link
I make stickers too but i have noticed that my laminate wants to come off and i am using the same laminate sheets? Could it be my laminator is just not getting hot enough?? Or is it possibly bc i am trying to test the stickers too soon and should wait for the stickers to cool down?
What sticker paper brand are you using? I’ve never had mine come off so it could be that or possibly the laminator not getting hot enough but that seems less likely!
@@tabsartshop for my sticker paper is htvront matte sticker paper. I feel like once i turned my laminator off and then back on and let it re-warm it seems like it was better... super weird though i still cant decide if its the laminator or the paper... lol
I tried this method and my sticker sheet is curling really bad I used the exact same laminating pouches and I have a scotch laminator which I heated on the 3 mil option, once cut out the individual stickers are still curling, enough to pull the edges up slightly is there anyway to remedy this? I thought this was such a good idea.
Have you found a solution? In the same boat my stoker curl inward real bad!! Once sticked to a laptop or tumbler they stick on forever… but I feel like my customer would be thrown off by the curl 🤷🏻♀️
I have a faster simpler method of laminating a lot of stickers to sell. However, even though I add a slit for peeling my stickers in the back, there is still the danger of the customer not seeing the slit and peeling the laminate off thinking that's how you're supposed to peel them. I'm looking for ways to make laminated stickers secure from having the laminate peeled off. Does your method prevent someone from peeling the laminate off?
Thank you! I will try! :D can you recommend the printer paper and printer? I am looking for the good printer and paper, but I don't have any luck yet. :(
What kind of laminator do you use? My sticker paper jammed up in my laminator trying this out and I have to get a new one ^^" Have you ever had your laminator jam up with the sticker sheets?
Came here to say the exact same thing. I managed to salvage the sheet out of my laminator but on further test runs its now laminating wonky. There should be a disclaimer/warning to people that this may not work with all kinds of laminators...
@@Soljarag5 I ended up just using the sticky stuff. It's really unpredictable and some sheets come out better than others. I just need to get a better squeegee than the one I have because the one I have scratches the laminate.
For the most part! Laminating does make them more water resistant. But it also makes them thicker so sometimes designs don’t work as well on curved surfaces.
Yes but if there are smaller details they may start peeling up slightly after a while if placed on curved surfaces. But I have my JiJi sticker on a Starbucks tumbler and still great after months! :)
I have a question. Did you print your stickers on a regular piece of paper and then put the laminating sheet on it? I’m worried that if I do that, I’ll get a different result.
I have te same problem. They turn out really pretty but the laminate peels off easier than te backing. If I set the temperature higher the stickers crinkle because its too hot. I even tried different types of sticker paper and 2 different laminators :(

Good job 👏🏻 May I ask what are cricut settings did you use?
Did you ever get an answer?
I wanna know the same thing. I wanna know what type of material you set it on.
This is such a gamechanger! Thank you so much❤
What type of sticker paper did you use?
What material setting did you use for these cuts?
also wondering this! i would love to know since i’m thinking of laminating stickers myself :)
I have found using heat effects the ‘STICKINESS’ of my stickers…they actually come off after a few days.

Thank you for showing how to laminate stickers I didn't know these sheets existed. Everytime I use the sticky laminate I waste printed sheets.
This was helpful; thank you!
What settings do you use on cricut to get such a clean cut?
it all depends on paper type, blade, and thickness. If you notice it not cutting through, keep upping the settings. I would try a custom one.
I’ve been using Acetate! Only had to do a second pass on intricate cuts, bowed mat, or dull blade. I’m always looking for a quick setting.
Hi, what's the material settings to cut? Is it custom, or do you use a presetting for the cricut materials library?
Qual a configuração que você usa na cricut para fazer o corte?

Hi! They are still sticky afterwards! It could depend on how hot the laminator gets but I haven’t noticed any difference with the adhesive.

it's a hopvision but I'm not sure they make them anymore. It has more to do with the actual sticker paper and laminate though.
Thank you for this video! 🎉
how thick is your thermal pouches? i use 125 microns and it peels off 😢
These are 3M pouches. If it’s peeling off I would assume it’s not getting hot enough.
hello, does this affect the flexibility of the stickers? thinking of laminating a sticker wrap for my film camera
laminating does make them thicker and not quite as flexible. So definitely keep that in mind! I do have one on my tumbler and it's been fine though!
Did you use printable sticker sheet ?
Do you use 3 mil or 1.5 mil for stickers?
Ok thats cool. I had no idea my laminator would do that
Amazing, I do think every laminator might be different as I use own gear and as soon as you pick the sticker back up after placing it, it peels for me
It probably does depend on sticker paper type, laminate brand, and how hot the laminator gets. But I’ve never had mine peel!

It doesn’t get jammed for only laminating one side?
Mine has had problems with other laminate but with the scotch thermal sheets, it’s been perfect!
Would laminating stickers allow them to be placed on cups and thermos?

Did you apply for licensing for the Miyazaki character designs? I’m trying to figure that part out for vids and possibly a shop… thanks!
You can make and film videos for whatever you want. But I would focus on doing your own original drawings if you’re going to open a shop.

I tried this, and after cutting the laminating sheets just fell right off of the image. 😭 help
It’s either your paper, laminate, or the temperature setting! The materials I use, the laminate has never come off!
Did you have to adjust your blade pressure for the laminate?
No, I use default pressure!
Can you laminate right after printing your stickers or do you have to wait for a few hours?
I laminate right after!
I have a question. Did you print your stickers on a regular piece of paper and then put the laminating sheet on it? I’m worried that if I do that, I’ll get a different result.
No, they are printed on sticker paper!
how the heck do you manage to not get your laminator jammed when laminating stickers?
Cut setting used? Thx you
I use Acetate when doing this laminate process. Depending on the blade sharpness and intricate cuts you might need to do a second pass.
This only works for die cut stickers, I would assume?
I haven’t tried laminating sticker sheets yet! but I’m should you can.
Great vidéo thanks ❤

3m is 30micron lamination sheet?
I researched it and if you type in mil to microns you get that 3 mil is 76.2 micron thickness

works pretty good but be carefull
it got pretty thin so it rolled inside the laminator
