- Trenching in Field Drain Tile near New Castle Indiana
In this video I am out in a field with B Thompson & Associates as they are trenching in field drain tile.
In the video you will see several different machines doing the work. First up they are running their Deutz Fahr 9340 Warrior Tractor that is running a mounter DK628 trencher. Running beside the 9340 stringing out the roll of drain tile is their Deutz Fahr 6175 tractor. On the other side of the main drain tile they are running their Agco Challenger 1038 tractor that is pulling a KMA Trencher. They are drenching in 6'' plastic drain tile.

Always enjoy watching drainage videos. Not a cheap investment, but adds value to the land and increases efficiency and yield.
Thanks Mike for this drainage tile video. It is a big investment but in the end it does increase yields.
I don't think a trenches would work very well for the ground that we have around we have a lot of big rock as well as ledges of bedrock here.
But enjoyed these videos .as always mike thank you for the work you put into your videos
Thank you Mike keep up the good work.
B lll😮
To watch that big D/F "scratchin' an' clawin' pulling that trencher was an impressive sight! But the video proves there was need of tiling in this location.
I used to work for Blake. Good folk, that deutz is really nice inside
Another awesome video, content that can’t be found anywhere else
Well Thank You!
Deutz power💪😁 cool to see the trenchers at work😄👍
Excellent brother 👍
That’s a really nice setup. Those guys are 2 hours southeast of me.
They need to get a 4840... am I right! lol How you doin'!!!!!!!
@@atomicwedgie8176 there ya go lol haha 😆
Is there a benefit to doing it this way versus a tile plow?
Great videos longe perfect Mike
You need to go to sweet meadows They plow their tile in. They're located in Beloit, Ohio.
Good video.
😎😎
I wish I knew what that was like- a field with no rocks!
rotary trencher best way to install field tile.
Mike I reloaded the page, you tube keeps freezing on this video. internet is ok, other videos fine. reduced resolution from 1080p to 720 now its flowing! nice video.
Okay not sure what's going on there.
I like Mike less videos on TH-cam from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲
I got a bottle of Scotch to watch lots of crotch
I realize the main has to follow the lay of the land but it looked like someone had hit the bottle. On the challenger side why did they stop where they did?
Drainage works a lot better when you tile the land how it lays. The Challenger was stopping at the peak of the hill. The tile will also have more fall on the contour. The land to the north of it got drained to the north, the way it should be.
I wonder how the cost of trench installation compares to a plow install
Not sure about that one
DK Trenchers were made by my neighbor. I think they quit making them.
That tile looks small for 6". Must be the camera angle.
Do they have good beers in Newcastle?
I’m not sure about that
Hello Sir, I am from India and my dream is to work in agriculture in America. Please help me. I am ready to work at any salary.🥺
I like everything about you Mike except for the ugly green paint you work for.
Now come on.
Sorry Mike, I grew up on Allis orange and will never get over the spring green debacle. That being said, I do have a 3 cyl Duetz in a Vermeer machine.
@@diersirrigation yes I know that deal really upset the Allis Chalmers fans back then
I'm not saying that agco is any better. They afterall, named the new company Allis Gleaner Company. Then somehow they forgot about the main reason that they exist and defected to massey when there was still a loyal Allis base buying their equipment. @farmhandmike
