    I did feel like the resort was built with thin walls, the hall ways and rooms are not solid. I will say the Deluxe studio would be a must vs a regular studio. Also, we purposely got the rear view dvc building 3rd / 4th floor end of hall way where the monorail literally rides by balcony. We never heard it strangely enough, but we got awesome video shots , time lapse and pics!!! I'd recommend it. It was not a distraction at all!

    I like how in depth your review was. While it's pretty overall, I guess if you like that aesthetic I feel the price for what they offer leaves it lacking. To me the noise and lack of privacy on the balcony while excusable at their value or moderate resorts is inexcusable at the price point they offer this hotel at. 🤨Ditto for the sub par cleaning. If I'm paying that amount though I would just go to the Waldorf-Astoria or Four Seasons. If I'm paying Luxurious Prices then I Expect actual Luxury. 😉

      Thanks! We do our best to cover as much as possible when we do these reviews. Yeah, the noise was a major turn off for us. . . though it's something that happens more often than you'd think. Believe it or not, we've had worse experiences in Disney Deluxe/DVC Resorts than we have in Disney Value Resorts, which is 🤯.
      I do agree. . . the price point for the Grand Floridian and its reputation for "luxury" ought to have resulted in some things [like the golf carts taking up walk ways] being handled differently. Then again, this is "Disney Deluxe" not actual "luxury" which is a distinction that not enough people make. There are absolutely better hotels out there for those looking for a more high end experience, though I think the location of this particular hotel is the draw for most who stay here.

    I'm a light sleeper so the noise is always a big issue for me.

      I'm not and it STILL was a problem. 😬

    What does "vacation club room" mean?

    • @2foolishmortals
      @2foolishmortals  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rainbow20112011 It means "Disney Vacation Club Villas". This is a separate category of rooms available at Walt Disney World and elsewhere. They usually have features that you won't find at other hotels such as kitchenettes or full kitchens.

    I have never had a desire to stay at the Grand Floridian.

    Have to agree. The carts ruin the experience.

    Why are the rooms
    So ugly and modern now? What happened to the classic Victorian, luxury interior rooms? Disney is so off on it’s theming and losing the magical nostalgia. Those pictures behind her are hideous! Keep it themed to Victorian beach grand resorts. And not everything has to have a Disney character theme like the new titled bar which used to have a different name on honor. Famous Floridian Victorian architect. What the frick? Keep it classic.

      You'll find that "classic Victorian" style over in the non-DVC Rooms.
