Hey legend thanks for the mention! I’m just back from Xmas hols but will be sure to catch up with this video as soon as I’ve changed outta these dusty travelling rags!
@ thank you that’s very kind. And indeed it is the plan for 2025! I’m just sitting in my insane mess of an office now having a beer after driving for 10 hours, just looking at it all and thinking “tomorrow, we begin for the year”. 😎👍🏼
Just an idea for storage of sky landers if you search Bunnings plastic storage totes you can see the stackable rectangle shape bins that can be placed onto of each other or onto a stand. You can then separate into like characters ect. Some people use these systems for nails, bolts or in kids toy rooms or for crafts.
I actually thought of that, as I know people who did LEGO did a similar thing. I'll have a look at Bunnings when I'm there tomorrow to see if they fit with what I need :)
Dude, you should totally find Doc Brown, catch a ride back to the summer of 1985, and go watch Daniel Laruso beat Chozen Toguchi at the O-bon Festival in Okinawa. I mean, you're already going to be in Japan. What's one more little island hop?
My thoughts on your storage/search problem.... When I have multiples of same items I put them all in one large bag marked with one sku and they are stored with my other items in numerical order. Then when i sell one i just find the number and pull out the amount ordered. You could assign a specific number to each character and keep them in large ziplock style bags with the sku on the top of the bag. That way you can still put them in your totes, but you'd be looking for specific numbers rather than Characters. As long as you store the numbered bags in numerical order it should simplify the search. I hope that helps. Love your channel brother! Have a great one!
Actually touch on this in today's video, I've used ziplock bags before and had mixed results, I'm going to trial it again and see if it works better :)
Personally I use Hefty Gallon Sized Zip Storage Bags for my figures that hold a mix of 4 inch to 6 inch figures. I personally would divide them by character along with any variants, so like with Giants there are 48 characters. If that is too much could go by Element and put Giants themselves also divided by character as they're larger. Put Numbers on each bag and so if say Sonic Boom is in bag 3 you can find bag 3 more quickly. It appears this idea has been suggest a fair bit, but it is what I do to store 4000+ action figures and takes no more than 10 seconds to find a figure and should be quicker when you're selling multiples of same character where as mine are just a mix of different ones.
I don't know if you can see, but the first tub is almost completely filled with just Tree Rex, I'm going to have another crack at the zip bags (tried them before). I'm thinking I might make them alphabetical opposed to theme.
@@thedisgruntledoctopusIf doing a bag method with items at such a quantity you keep X amount listed... Lets say 20... All extras are put into bins like you have it now (divided by game) then make it a weekly or bi-weekly job to "replenish" from the overfill bin anything back to 20. Because I'm assuming it be unlikely to sell through those 20 in such a speed to necessarily NEED to have them fully inventoried. Something also to consider is maybe having just 1-2 available to purchase at a time (then just replenish as you deem fit). You are kind of banking on multi sales and to kind of push those multi sales people will more thank likely buy when they see the words like "Last One" or "Almost Gone" . Some psychology that makes people believe "Get it now or I might not get it again".
You dont want to get on a plane that was held for you and I think you're right, they no longer wait. But they did years ago. My girlfriend and I held up a plane in Paris headed for Rome. We were 16 and stupid. I still remember the glares and nasty comments. I think my Italian mom got the worst of it because she was blamed for not keeping track of us.
Could you use large ziplock bags inside the tubs? You could number the bags and it would reduce the amount you’d need to dig through greatly. It’s probably also the most economical way to do it + you’d still be utilising your current tubs and shelving.

Really enjoying your content mate, keep pumping those videos out.

@@FlipsterDoofus I'm more of a "no time like the present" kind of Octopus...
Bogans? Half my mates were up there this weekend 😅
They left the other half down there?
Is the audio better?
Perfecto.
It did it again towards the end when I said it cut out - I worked out how to fix it in editing ;)
I would say unpunched is the word to describe it.
Yep, going to use Open Box/Unpunched as the Keywords. Graham has pulled through and gave me Spurs (I'll put that in the body of the text)
I enjoyed your minion Js Idiot Abroad stories.
If you're trying to cut down pepsi, just allow yourself one a week. Friday is my "Soda Day"
That's my issue, as soon as I have one - I'll drink a carton...
Hahahaha I have so many idiot abroad stories, I could dedicate a channel to them...

I agree with the ziplock bags, said the same thing. Struggling to think of any other solution really.

But it's ok if you do it - it's just annoying when your the one waiting ;)

I actually talk about this in today's video - I've tried it before but willing to give it another crace haha.
