I replayed KH2 as a trophy hunter over 6 times (PS3 + PS4) on multiple accounts. Everrryyy time I get to this mushroom, I struggled attempting to do other methods. This method was and always will be, my go to. Idk how any of the other tricks ever work for players. This one is as simple as it can get: Use cure. Start. Jump attack once, spam □. Gets too high? Hit X two times, then back to spamming □. Once your score is 55+, enter Master form. Spam your shortcut Thunder, drain magic completely. COMPLETE! You should have reached 85! If by some reason you haven't? Just get in one combo while in Master form after spamming thunder. That outta do it.
This works incredibly well. Got it on my second try. Got 80 on my first, but i choked hard. So it could have been on my first try too. Plus, it's super lenient. I accidentally threw in extra attacks and started freely throwing thunders. Ended up with 99. I used Fenrir and Photon Debugger.
Has anyone done this mushroom with anti form? I spent 20 minutes using all the known methods and got nothing. On my next attempt to use master I got antiform and cleaned this mushroom out.
My antiform got stuck just above the mushroom and so it did all the float-above-you attacks that didn't connect and my shroom dropped :(. 4 hours later and my best is 83 with this stupid shroom
Just a heads up people. It does not work on the first try like it does in this video. It’s very luck-based, depending on how well master form tracks the mushroom. If you get tired of trying to strap, there are others you can try.
It works, but I had to tweak it a bit. Had to start with master form, hit it a few times (5-10 hits), then spam thunder until all mp was gone, berserk charge after that.
I couldn’t do the menu quick enough even with master preset so I went master form combo at half MP recharge then as soon as MP bar goes blue, spam thundaga. Usually around 50-60 hits before thundaga. Also magic lock on ability because you don’t want to lock on when comboing and also I noticed after button mashing x to start, you want to slow down to a rhythm. I used burst of 3 x taps and a slight pause between combos. If you keep spamming x after the second toss up he flies too far away.
I've tried every form, literally. Also standard form + berserk and negative. Always no more than 80/84 maximum with master form. But I succeed with wisdom + negative + berserk + thundaga first try, 99 That's the best method, full stop
Tried this strat about 10 times after struggling with this thing forever. Didn't work. Fucker just randomly breaks out of your combo and cant even get 70 Hits in the guy. Just tried Masterform Berserk, got him 1st try. \_(-.-)_/

Before you start go to master on the drive list, this will save the cursor location when you select the drive list after about 50 hits. Then have lightning on your quick select. After 50 switch spam and your done. Takes a little getting use.

I did this on PS3 years ago, biggest pain, now on the PS4 version, tried for an hour, got up to 72, saw your way, did it first try with a Score of 91

Why does my combo stop at the second bit of the first horizontal slash?
My lighting won't hit the mushroom when I cast it

How do you keep him from flying away from you ?!
Been a while but where you launch the mushroom at first matters a lot so it's more controlled how it flies away (and you gotta count hits)

I think we (as players) don't have this hability. Japanese people are not from this planet, you must remember that.

HouseLyrander - It just takes some preparation and practice. This was the only method that worked for me. Most hated mushroom.
